    Hi Claudia. I’m back and just wanted to let you know how happy I am to have discovered your podcast. I’m in Southern California so I laughed when you said you can tell if a traveler is from the Netherlands if they are looking toward the sun, hehe. If you are ever on the west coast of the states I would love to have you visit. We have about 350 days of sun per year. I Love your stunning pink and red sweater. And your Ingrid sweater is going to be stunning. You really do look fantastic in bright colors. I’m currently making the Camisole No 9 and should have it done by tonight. I have a stash of Knitting For Olive yarns but used Lana Grossa Eco Puno and now I’m thinking it wasn’t the best choice but I love the fit so much that I’m ready to cast on another and use some of my Knitting For Olive. I’m excited to see your haul from Copenhagen. Enjoy your time with friends and of course your knitting my friend.

      Oh Christie, I am from Germany and I would say, you could send to us a few days of sunshine…, the Netherlands, Germany and so on and so on. I met a man from Ireland and he said, that we have so nice weather and so much sunshine here🤔. To be honest we really had three very weeks in September, but almost nothing in the summer and …. There was NO spring. It started to get warmer at the end of June. Before it was November 😢. Or is there a mistake in the grammar? Don’t you say towards the sun? 🙈
      I just found her and just I am starting her podcast….
      Many great greetings, where our system wanted to save us from the high temperatures this year😂. Save us from dangerous 18 degrees Fahrenheit…, unbelievable… 🙃. I am watching now…, looking forward…

      Dear Claudia…, great to have found you💕! At first I recognized that we probably have the same climate in our countries…., autumn throughout the year😣.
      Regarding your projects…, I love them (I am also a fan of PetitteKinit). But you work so fast…😳…, unbelievable! My favorite is probably the blue simple sweater. But the reason could be that I love the handdyied yarns sooo much, but the most time …, at least for me…, they are not affordable….😢. Four times about 25 Euros for a sweater…., only for special occasions…, unfortunately!
      If I were a lot younger, I would of course prefer the bear sweaters😉, they are sooooo endlos cute. And I find it good that they are too big. Time goes by so fast, and she will have and get a lot of clothing for the newborns. She will be happy for those beautiful bigger sweaters. I adore you to have knitted the Ingrid sweater. I have heart so often that people had problems with the pattern (especially the criss-cross parts) of the arms (decreasing). Did you see any problems? The color is beautiful and the variating pink tones, too! You are really a pink type. Maybe because of your eyes.
      How would I love to travel to Scandinavia… we don’t have a nice wool shop in the area. And I would love soooo much to feel the different yarns instead of selling them only in the internet. Have a wonderful time there …, and many bags of great yarn. On sale, of course😉!
      Thank you for sharing your experience an all those nice objects. Many greetings from a country with also much too less sunshine . What would it be nice to have more of it. Not the heat, but everything looks so nice if the sky is not always grey…. Well, and of course you stay much more outside for a walk for example. Yesterday it rained the whole day. But I have a dog…., don’t ask how the floors looked each time after coming home🙄

      Hi Christie! I feel so bad that I haven't reacted to you yet after you wrote such lovely words! So glad to see that you are back and like my inspiration. I love to get inspiration from others as well. Oh and I would defenitely love to visit California. For the sun mostly, but also the nature how big everything probably feels compared to here.
      I just started swatching for the camisole no. 9 in KfO but I'm struggling to get gauge. Did you get gauge on nld 3? Well if you're making a third version it must be a succes and staple piece in your wardrobe

      Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm so sorry for not responding sooner! I am curious to know where you're from, but it sounds pretty the same haha. I would love to have a dog to force me to go outside more. I'll take the dirty floor haha.
      But I have the same with handdyed yarn. It is adictingly beautiful but so expensive. I cant afford buying that all the time, especially with how much I knit. And I keep coming back to pink and blue and if those simple colors make me so happy, then that's enough right?

    It might be worth ripping back the final ribbing on the sleeves of the Ingrid sweater, and maybe even the bottom hem if needed - and then using your new, different dye lot, yarn for the ribbing.

      I’m finishing up my Camisole No 9 today. The finishing is a bit more time consuming than just a basic ribbed trim but I think once you do it, the results make it worth the time and effort. At least for me it is. I’m already ready to do another one, lol. I’m going to be showing mine in my next podcast here on TH-cam on Monday if you want to see how mine turns out.

    You totally deserve all the new subscribers! ❤ Your pink projects are so beautiful, looking at them makes me happy even though the colour wouldn't personally suit me.
    Also I can relate to winter depression all too well, mornings and evenings are now dark in Finland and my poor brain wants to sleep 16 hours a day 🫠

    Just had to pause the video to say your sweater is gorgeous! I am a grey/beige/neutrals person and this makes me want to knit one in this color... maybe even in yellow. 😂 It looks great and I like that you added your personal touch to make it your own. Hope you have a fabulous time in yarn heaven! 😜

  • @dianatoderic273
    @dianatoderic273 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I had a question on the sonja sweater, I just started knitting it and I was wondering if it is normal and has happened to you that the edges are curling up with the Stockinette stitch? Will I be knitting along that edge later on or will it stay like that?

    • @claudiasknits
      @claudiasknits  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You will pick up stitches on all the edges, so now it will curl up, but you won't see that in the end

      @@claudiasknitsgonna piggy back off this comment. I haven’t worked on my Sonja for months because the increases onward (after doing the first part of the back yolk) for the left shoulder is so confusing to me. Also first time knitter!
