I’ve been into photography in various forms for around 40 years, professional and otherwise, gave it a break for some years and then got back into it around 2001. To cut a long story short, I started doing news and sports for a Melbourne newspaper, as well as documentary photography (amongst other things) for Defence and the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. Now in semi-retirement, I have an opportunity to do things that I always wanted to do, but never seemed to find the time to do, so I now see myself as a mix of photojournalist, documentary photographer and historian. This channel and my blog will primarily be about Gippsland, but since I’m interested in a wide variety of issues, I’ll be videoing and writing about numerous things, so I hope that you enjoy the stories. australianimage.com.au/
Australian Backyard Birds - Little Corellas
A short video of one of our Little Corellas. They bond as a pair, like many other parrots and are always together. Little Corellas tend to be very nervous all the time, hence the constant bobbing up and down to check out their surrounds.

I just wanted to bring closure to this issue and inform potential buyers of what to consider and look out for if contemplating this adapter. And a subsequent email I received from SmallRig (I'm not sure that everyone at SmallRig is aware of my videos): 'Dear Valued Customer, Hope you are doing well during these days. Waeco CF50 Thermistor Fix - The Easiest Fix Ever
มุมมอง 24K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a short video detailing how I replaced the thermistor on my Waeco CF50 fridge and how easy it was to do and repeat, should the thermistor ever fail once again. This fix will most likely work with all models that use a similar thermistor placement. I forgot to mention that you can feed the excess thermistor cable into the hole under the control panel, where the wires go into the motor ho...

Australian Backyard Birds - Kookaburra Feast
มุมมอง 752 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a daily routine for us, feeding a variety of wild birds. From time to time I have some offcuts from a fresh steak (steak and fat) that I give to our Kookaburras (five now including two young ones). They think this is the best thing ever and always go into wild chortling. Meanwhile, the other birds are less than amused as they have to wait for their bits of mince or bird seed. Dad BTW is...
SmallRig vs Andoer NP-F Adapter Battery Test

This test is primarily for SmallRig's benefit, as they wanted a video and blamed the poor battery performance on user error. Here is the preceding video: th-cam.com/video/tyzUyMRg4DA/w-d-xo.html.

Too unstable vertically.
Not sure about that demo. Seems TC never updated in both scenarios (at least it's not synced). I know the time code of F6 is on the botton ...
What did you use to mount your side handle, looks very practical
great video thank you. when i tried to download the LTC time code generator it says this version doesn't work with my phone. my phone is new android. is there any other app in android, please let me know.
Thank you!
Put down the bottle or at least stop drinking while speaking 🤣
I just found a new one for $500....is it worth it in 2024?
non-cinematic and bmpcc4k is an oxymoron. This camera is incapable of producing footage that doesn't look cinematic
Do you have this apk I got a new phone and can no longer download
Finally have mine. I have modded the arm to be silent. When moving around. Put rubber gaskets to replace all metal washers. I use mics with my setup. Also folded the shoulder pads in half with string and cloth. Was rubbing on my neck when walking. I walk the trails. Test to come soon. Thank you.
he's not ninja walking guys. For regular walking it's pretty damn good.
Is shootvilla also the company flycam?
The G. application store displays "Not found" when I search with "LTC Timecode generator". Does this app still exist ?
How do you get good edges and what settings do you use on your camera
Just curious, did you happen to look around in the motor compartment of the fridge and see if there was a spare thermistor factory installed? Almost all of the waeco fridges have a second one if you have a hunt around.
awesome mate. great to see Aussie accent with these tutorials as a kiwi. Love your vids. new sub today.
but wondered if the turning on and off issue will be redundant if you change the battery as that has no power to preserve the setting? Anyway iv downloaded the TC app and will experiment. thank you.
Thank you for this. You just sold me on this vest. I walk the trails and my gear get heavy. Gonna get this and come up with a setup for my setup. Thanks.
Absolutely wrong and I even say a stupid solution - never do what this guy advices!!! First of all you need to have ability to remove the white insert to clean he bottom! Second, if your Dometic CoolFreez CX or other has a faulty Thermistor - then just order it for $8 and replace it - 15 minutes work. Most will need to buy this "Dometic 4450001983 NTC Thermistor ASM", it has the same 2 pin connector as all WAECO or Dometic. You may also use a "Dometic 3851210025 Replacement RV Refrigerator Thermistor" but int this case, you may need to preface the connector, as it is little bit bigger (use connector front the original faulty one)... If you have done the replacement of Thermistor (in its original place) and temperature is incorrect, if cooler freezes too hard, then use the control panel, holding down both buttons "+" and "-" and then you will see "A" and temperature adjustments - adjust as needed.
great video, just saw this in a camera shop, wow, but the benefits of the systematic design also lend itself to MF and LF shooters, as the expensive Arca Swiss cube, or other geared head can be quickly detached so as not to damage it while tracking.
You have a gimbal and a Steadicam elastic arm and there is still a lot of up and down motion. It's almost like you walking with just the camera and IBIS enabled on a GH5 or something. I was expecting perfect flawless movement. I appreciate all the effort that went into this video but the footage is very disappointing in my opinion.
I urgently reccommend that you do not use your arm in this orientation, the arm must not be used on the inboard side relative you you, please refer to any steadicam workshop video or guide video to see the reason for the arm to be used at an acute angle facing away from your body!
Thanks for the test mate. Great work. I have just bought the F6 and the Wireless Pro so looking forward to trying this.
Thank you for this advice. What kind of Arca Swiss plate are you using and how long is it?
Looks a little bumpy. I am sure it saves on back pain though. Does it?
That's cause he's not ninja walking. For regular walking it's pretty damn good.
Hi. If my camera doesn’t take time code but I send a bit of the time code from my phone to and audio Chanel via the mic in for a few secs will that do it.
Have you tested if it goes further.....than minus 3?
Can you get a splitter to go from your phone to the devices at the same simultaneously?
What road was this on?
Thanks for the video. I bought a Waeco CF-50 cheap, as is... when I plug it in, it turns on, and all the controls and LEDs appear to work, but the unit doesn't get very cold, even when set to -18 degrees C. Could this be a thermistor issue, or does it need to be re-gassed? I assume the compressor is OK, as it gets slightly cold...
If cooler freezes too hard, or too weak, then use the control panel, holding down both buttons "+" and "-" and then you will see "A" and temperature adjustments - adjust as needed.
Great video! Awesome rig, just the audio gate really bugs me 😂
What were the symptoms of your fridge before you fixed it?
Would aluminium tubing be okay instead of copper?
Will the Andoer adapter work with the Blackmagic 6k Pro too?
Hi there from your antipodes. Nice videos , I landed on your Small Rig NP-F Battery adapter videos as I am making the choice of wich one would be the best option. I agree with many of your assessments about the freedom and lightness of many "gurus" who just learned what it is to capture images two years ago. Experience is a degree. My question is that I see from the rigs that you have in your 4k, that you do not power the monitor from the battery and its corresponding plate, that is, the same battery that you power the camera with. I have read a lot about problems that cause the camera to be "fried" due to an overload that travels from that load to the monitor through the HDMI connected to the camera. I would like to know if it is possible ,and based on your experience ,if this happens regularly or to prevent it it is better to bring autonomous power supplies. In that case, I plan to use the battery plate to power the camera and the Nucleus Nano Follow Focus, which curiously, needs more power than 5V to be able to reach a higher torque and be able to move lenses with hard focuses (Vintage lenses).Best from Spain.
The problem with this method of jam syncing is hat both devices will drift over time which will make syncing in post very difficult. Both of these devices' internal timecode generators are not precise enough to maintain sync so unfortunately, this is not really a reliable method.
Thanks.
Do you use wireless follow focus?
Hey mate, did they end up sending you those replacement bearings and if so could I buy a couple off you. I'm just over here in Queensland... Same issue with mine, two bearings cracked, not sure I'd have the finesse to handle the polyurethane solution very well...
I've got same issue, I'm now searching for the bearings....
Won’t point this light at the camera cause it’s bright, proceeds to burn the old dog’s retinas out😂😂. Good review
Awesome setup!
Great video. What cable do you use? Is that a normal mini jack? I have the 6K. Do I plug in the cable to the mini jack mic in? I use the Zoom F8n but I don't know where the timecode connection is. Any help appreciated.
Awesome rig. Thanks for the video. Very informative. I did notice the up/down motion of walking during the video. I think taking baby steps might alleviate that, I've also seen others kind of walk with a slight squat.
when wearing a vest with an elastic arm you must walk normally, the arm when tuned properly will handle z axis vibration, this video looks to be a way too strong setting for the arm and he's fighting it.
That's cause he's not ninja walking. For regular walking it's pretty damn good.
Hi! Have you noticed any disadvantages of this fix over the time? My zeapon slider was fixed by previous owner, he have replaced the original wheels, but i still get a little bit of shake during the movement, especially when slider is mounted not on a flat surface but on a tripod. It seems like there is still a little bit of play somewhere even i cant trace it at myself. Wonder if HDPE sliding part would solve that. Thank you in advance.
This is a really great video, but I have some questions. Im not able to choose between the crane 2s and dji rs2. My bmpcc4k has a full cage and ssd but none of the other attachments that your rig does. But i do have a heavy lens. Which gimbal do you think is better? I heard the crane 2s has some vibration issues for the bmpcc4k while the dji rs2 isnt wide enough to support a fully caged bmpcc4k. Can you please give some insight on the issue?
what would be an alternative solution?
Thanks for the video! Have you found the experience has improved at all? I just picked up the set. I’m getting a bad feeling from toying with the pan motor, as well as an already poor customer service experience. The hardware looks and feels incredible so it has me scratching my head a bit.
I need one, how to order?
Frank spencer
u need more motor power in crane 3s
Appreciate your insights. Like you, not too worried about the weight. Sheer solidity is where it’s at! After a LOT of research I kept coming back to the Leofoto LN-404C. I’ve ordered it with a leveling base, very excited to put it to work. Thank you for taking the time.
