I just still cant believe they didnt give us a port for a wired remote. I LOVE my 6kpro but this remote triggering hassle is beyond the pale of ridiculous. they gave us an extra XLR port, but no remote record capabilities with hardware. were having to buy mini phones to run an app and thats insane. but this is good looking out, and actually a great GREAT find. ive been needing a small phone for apps like this and had no idea it existed. I run "log remote" for audio and could use this as a transport panel. thanks man, hope youre well over there

Couldn't agree more. Assumed with so many complaining it would be added in the future. LOVE Blackmagic, but this is amateur hour. If you have a rig and working alone, it's a nightmare.

@@claudeIsbell I love my 6kpro for sure, and its 99% there for me. does everything and more. image looks amazing and with the gyro stab they just released I get almost zero rolling shutter. its a beautiful experience.. except for the remote. ive just been using a small iponhe with the BM bluetooth app and its been ok so far. I get full control over everything so it does help.

I don't need it it anymore, but I've removed the battery as it wasn't holding charge and if let go for too long, it would have swelled and likely damaged the internals. Replacement batteries are available (I kept a photo of the original) but it would need the soldering of the +/- wires. You can have it for the cost of postage.
