This bike does not have 6 gear! I have one and it only jas 5 gear like the predecessor.
How would I go getting more top end speed from my braaap urban 125? Just brought it 2 days ago, love the little thing
When this bike came out, it was a quantum leap from the previous models in terms of styling. To me, it's the most beautiful 250 to ever exist. I love the one with the bent swingarm and the pipes up one side. But this is an absolutely gorgeous bike.
Great video. Got to do a top end tear down because I think I'm damaged the rings on an extreme ride on an extremely hot day. Got two engines here and this was enough to give me a roadmap. Thanks
RIP Ken December 2025
i have number 134 of 1000 mod 2015 ... bought it 10 years ago and still brand new :-)
Thankssssss❤❤❤❤❤
So he really wants Burt to bend him over and ride his back corn doggy styling
You can’t have too many Motoguzzi’s. I can’t imagine how difficult it would have been to accumulate this amount of fine motorbikes. I would assume that they weren’t bought in mint condition.
Where is this cathedral of Guzzi?
At Yea. Just outside Melbourne Australia. It’s all in the video. Check out the series and thanks for watching Do you have a Guzzi?
@@TwistgripTales I have its cousin a 2018 SWM. Good to see such an place exists.
Ese tatuaje vale cada maldito centavo
S vs N : S model features the half-fairing, and lower Clip-ons (shorter throttle and clutch cables), for the spirited riders. N model features a more UJM standard handlebar configuration with 7” round headlight and no fairing, but doesn’t stop a spirited rider from having fun! Nobody asked, but I own a standard ‘00 Curvy, currently doing a clip-on conversion with GP shifting.
is this little guy still working? curious for $12 what quality you can expect
Still working yes. I’ve had some shocking products led lights n bulbs. Descriptions wow electronic tachos That arrive as cable driven car and bike covers are rubbish except for keeping dust off while parked in your garage but overall they make “some” useful stuff. At a reasonable price. NB there is no customer service Nor return product refunds !!!! Don’t believe what the write or promise Nada.
Moto Guzzi, the best thing on two wheels that came out of Italy. Looking forward to seeing inside. Queue the angelic choir.
This motorcycle valve clearance intek valv gap and exhaust valve gap how many .mm?
Orange is the new... 🤔
Had that bike back in the late 90s, my mate had the 89 slingshot, man we had fun on them. Very cool.
Such hots way back then and would hold their own today So much power So little weight great chassis, brakes and handling. I want one too! Thanks for watching
Ain't st250 Suzuki engine?
Hi James. They are are a Honda copy cb125f with 2 valves operated by pushrods not ohc and probably the last motorcycle in the world with a carbie. A lovely motorcycle and with some work on the engine mine now holds the class Land speed record Thanks for watching
It is great to see businesses supporting mental health programs. Plus who could go past a bakery / coffee shop that is passionate about bikes?
Yes Nick n Meg are great guys and have a really good thing going on. Pretty unique stuff in this age of franchises. Drop and say hello and thanks for watching
TWO STROKES ARE GOING WAY UP IN VALUE
I think the next time I am up in Corowa, I will be calling into to get a coffee.
A dynamic duo Meg n Nick Great coffee food n hospitality plus a great motorcycle museum. Win win win
I'm pretty late to the party, but where did he get that fairing? Cool bike, I have a Sym Wolf 150, that could use this styling treatment.
Never late to the party. Welcome to Twistgrip Tales. That fairing is a racing replica item. The chap who made is long retired. But get on the line and shop around and you WILL find one.
I wish we could visit next month, but it might not be on the tram line😢
September is a great time to be downunder. Ding Ding
Found it, thanks again -- Sean Mc | Wise Words Media / Callumny Films
Welcome to Twistgrip Tales Sean. Havesgreatweekend
Looks like it’s never ridden.
Always garaged and used on long country tours. Not Stephens everyday rider
don't let them fool you....besides the bikini fairing, the pegs are up higher and further back than the naked. The S also has clip-ons instead of bars, and the 2003 model has a subframe that angles up, making the seat height close to 32inches.
Great insights and info thanks. Such reliable fun bikes
back in the 70's in Portugal school boys couldn't afford a bicycle lol i know what i'm talking about , i started working as an apprentice mechanic at 14 when i saved some money to buy a used bicycle , at 16 i bought a mini 50cc Benelli extremely rare in Portugal i had a hard time finding parts so i had to adapt Casal and Sachs parts , at 17 i emigrated to America a year later i bought a Honda 750 and my first car , what a difference between the 2 countries as far as salaries goes
Thanks for sharing your tale Tony. Obrigardo When motorcycles are in your blood They are in your blood. Happy safe riding and welcome to Twistgrip Tales
@@TwistgripTales thank you
Great track bike, a pain to ride on the street, no bottom end
Built as a track bike. 60hp A fair dinkum missile. Having the coolest rocket on the block comes at a cost. Short trips only. Welcome to Twistgrip Tales
Neat looking bike,,, Allan Millyard has built a six using a yamaha 4cyd engine... checkout his vids
Thanks for watching and welcome to Twistgrip Tales. Yes, everyone loves and in awe of Mr Millyard n his bikes. Peter is just your average backyard diy mechanic His bike is inspirational
That is brilliant. Nice job!
Yes it is skin. If you live this? Check out John’s 1300cc single cylinder racer story here on the channel. Thanks for watching.
Totally awesome. Well done!
Thanks Roy. Thanks for watching. Bruce
His name is Spelled Burt Munro.
Congratulations you win the prize Harry. I wondered how loooooong it would take. Haveagreatday & thanks for watching H4rry. Next spelling test is not for you. Cheers Bruce
@@TwistgripTales Yes! What did I win? I knew proper spelling would pay off!
Finding tdc with the kick start is just silly. Open the flywheel cover like a sensible person.😂
It’s never easy Tinkerin’ the point is to educate as to what the relationship is and between what and what. So many new riders don’t know what is inside. What does what and why. How are they connected. More videos to come. Thanks for watching Cheers Bruce
Why not go back to the original dyno tuner from the original video to compare on Same dynamometer
They are the same dyno Calam Sadly this was the last bike Daryl ran on his dyno before he passed away. We now have our own dyno. Stay tuned
@@TwistgripTales sad to hear about Daryl not to many people have the knowledge he had . How's the braap doing would love to see a PWK carb tune on the Dyno at wide open throttle and maybe a needle video on types of carb needles im running a 110 main jet with a 42 idle jet and a PWK30 carb I want a 32mm carb next I'm doing 80 mph on the straights but I know I'm running rich up top. I want to port my head any chance we can see a before and after on yours? Also if you lighten the stock cam by shaving material off the center .. and getting a lighter pinion and rear sprocket and running a smaller size chain take your sprockets to the lathe machine shop and have them make the teeth thinner then be able to run a skinny motorcycle chain and find some thin wire wheels . You could shave the piston skirt and add stronger clutch springs and use the stock exhaust just remove the baffles inside and tip silencer restrictor... I I know you can hit 100 mph
I used to race Yamaha dirt bikes back in the seventies and I had a whole big bag full of counter shaft sprockets forum from anywhere from one tooth up to two teeth down make them run different
That guy likes his Yamaha so much he's stroking the seat take a good look
Ha Ha Ha loved it n Sold it. Thanks for watching
Can you still get parts from Yamaha for all their enduros and their Motocross is back in the seventies
I had a 75 DT 400
Great machines Dave Thanks for sharing and watching Cheers Bruce
The engines in the P series Vespas and LMLs are interchangeable. I have a 1979 Vespa P200E, and a 2009 Genuine Stella, which is what an LML is called in the U.S. I bought the Stella new. Just after 12,000 miles, the crank failed on the LML engine. I had a local vintage Vespa shop build me a real Vespa engine with a lot of high end aftermarket parts, and it bolted right into the Stella/LML. It should run forever now. I also have a 2006 Vespa GT200, which is a 4 stroke, liquid cooled, CVT (automatic) transmission scooter. The manual shift 2 strokes are way more fun to ride, but being an older guy, when I need to ride a long distance through town, from stoplight to stoplight, I take the GT200. Shifting and clutching are fun, until the arthritis starts to flare up.
Thank you for sharing Gerald. The Italian scooters are such awesome culture for a great reason. The Vespa - fantastic You seem to have the full spectrum of them and enjoying them all. Something very special about the vintage models. Even if the joy is sometimes tempered by occasional arthritis Have a great day and thanks for watching and sharing Cheers Bruce
Electric is a little strange but a totally different feel. I have had the opportunity to ride one of the 8 KW Braaap hub motor bikes and that was to me a little odd. It practically had no sound at all and scooter style brakes with left lever being rear brake and right lever front brake as on all bikes. The Zero runs a belt drive similar to the Harley Livewire. The only issue for me is the cost of the Zero and the Energica and harley are are way expensive some like +27K for the Zero 40K+ for the Energica and the HD - The Braaap electric (now branded Leki) was like 8-9 K You should give Brad a call to try the Leki electric also.
Thanks Michael for watching. Yes it’s an interesting E-world that is closing in on us. Who knows where it will end up. Odd E-controls yes but then all Indians of old were left hand throttle control!!! They were never stolen Ha Ha. Been talking to Brad yes that is all coming down the pipe too. Price is a thing that will change. Haveagreatweekend and stay tuned Cheers Bruce
Hell yea guys!! That's awesome!! Giving inspiration to get mine going. I think if you guys got more exposure we could get some more videos on technical stuff :) . Keep it up !!
Lots more tech stuff coming. Watch this space. Thanks for watching. Cheers Bruce
Wowsvile, Bruce. My e-bike is 750 watts. About one tenth of that bike. See ya later in the year. Have that bike ready for me😊 I did notice you were the only rider not dragging your feet.
Enjoy your evening- bike no matter the amps at your becon call. Be safe and keep your feet up. Cheers Bruce
It's you Russel. Glad to hear youve got the apartment rented.
In the electronic music world we just call it a "kettle chord", everyone instantly knows what you mean. So, do I look for Zero motorbike if im after one of these? Sadly, you didn't quite give enough information. 😊
More e-zero videos to come. I rode 2 on the day. Kettle cords R Us.
Someone please donate to this team some carbon chain gaskets! PLEASE 🙏
That would be so very very helpful. Thank you.
LoL, you pretty much just answered my question from the previous short. Ceramic coating an option???
Stay tuned we have some interesting tech in the pipeline Cheers Bruce
@@TwistgripTales yep, I'm definitely staying tuned. Just discovered you guys, just caught up on ALL the braap project vids, literally just subbed. Thanks for your reply.
I've been catching up on your progress, and this video made me ask if ceramic coating head and or pipe would aid in any way??? Really rooting for you guys. ❤
The short answer is yes. Ceramic coating of heat exposed surfaces to eliminate “heat soaking” the head that would produce detonation or pinking! Piston crown, internal combustion chamber of the head and the exhaust port. It is interesting to see the effect in lab testing of various products but it does make a difference Especially when we are racing in 45deg C environments. Not so very air cooled engine friendly. Thanks for watching and appreciate your interest in our project. Cheers Bruce
Very much looking forward to the development of this bike/engine. Just a heads up, your TH-cam short brought me to the channel. So bravo for posting a short.
Thanks Prof
It needs chucking and replacing still. 👍
It gave great service for more than another 5000kms. Thanks for watching
Risky though don't you think.
