Glad to see the rain stayed away for you Bruce
I’m sure it will all be worth the teething problems, when you break the record 🤞

      Thanks John
Such a steep steep learning curve. No off the shelf fast parts for this machine. 1st time racing on the salt. The journey is not over yet. Only 160 of 220 entries got to race. With all the stress we made it. Perseverance pays off.

It’s a lot more fun looking back. Couldn’t believe how many problems we had to solve in such a short time
BUT we got a record WooHoo!

Hi Bruce, its harrowing getting through the scrutineering, even if you pass the test I find it nerve racking.😁
I watched your last vid on the dyno and now this vid, bike doesn't sound well tuned, the cam specs u described are traditional Honda numbers that usually offer smooth performance across the RPM range. To me it sounds like the carbs is way off, ie size, slide cutaway, needle etc, it is so fluffy low down that makes it bitchy, lucky you have electric start, if u had a kickstart you would have lost a few calories and a skinny bugger like you doesn't need that 😁
Besides all that its a real buzz hey ! 🏍🏁💰😎
    cheers Johno

Thanks Johno, we’ve dyno’d it for full throttle performance ie over 8000rpm. The cam is pretty wild. It’s just open forever. We opted for the smaller 34mm carb with the 36mm in reserve but as we only had half a day to get 4 runs in (only achieved 3 sadly) there was no time for “tuning”
So back to Phillip Island in October and the Salt 2024.
      Thanks for following
      Cheers Bruce

keeping it real and not editing out issues you have with something that is now high strung

      Such a testing environment
Out of 220 entries only 160 actually raced. So much can go wrong. We had enough help from other racers to get us onto the start line. Saltlake mateship is extraordinary. We were able to help others too. Swings n roundabouts. 1st time racing on the salt with a brand new build is such a steep STEEP learning curve
      But we did it. WooHoo!
      Thanks Jason

What did the little braappp st250 do top speed ?

    • @TwistgripTales
      @TwistgripTales  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

91mph average of the 2 runs somewhat less because of the poor fuel supply but still fast enough to be the fastest in Australia. 2024 World Speed Record attempt.
