What's In My Case. Things I Will Be Bring To Las Vegas BCA 2025 Pool Tournament.
A brief description on my pool cues I will be using for the Las Vegas BCA 2025 pool tournament.
I mentioned on one of my videos I was not planning to go back to Las Vegas for the BCA pool tournament but my scotch doubles partner and I have been practicing and we want to know if we can do a little better in 2025.

Nice video. How do you apply to actual play? How do you judge the lines?
Thank you. I practice the three shots I showed on my first video. I use that as my benchmark the see how to line up for those shots. Once I play and the ball is in random spots, I can see what cut to use. It takes time like everything else but I feel it cuts a lot of time on trying to memorize every cut shot in pool. I only use 5 cut shots versus trying to shoot over a million different cuts. The way I see it, pool balls are 2 1/4 and the pocket in most pool tables are 4 1/2 wide on the corner and the middle is wider. Some pool tables you even hit the first diamond and the object ball still goes in. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
Would you have any interest in staining a kielwood shaft black? I’ve contacted a couple larger companies and they have no interest in trying to do a project like this.
That would be interesting but with Kielwood, if done correctly when roasting the wood, the wood should not absorb any fluids. I think that is why manufacturers are not doing it. Kielwood doesn’t really have any pores unless like regular wood. I think trying to stain it the stain would look blotchy. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
Great set-up and love all your custom work. I remember when I started watching your videos, you were making your Mezz break cue into a wrapless, etc.
Thank you. Wow, I remember that video. It’s almost 5 years ago. I just started messing around modifying cues around that time. Thank you for commenting and Happy New Year.
What finish did you put on your cue?
I use thin cyanoacrylate (super glue) to seal it and then use 10 coats of thick super glue. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting. Happy New Year.
best of luck, Felix
Thank you, thank you for commenting and Happy New Year.

How much are u selling the jumpers
Please PM me on facebook. Thank you for commenting.
I thought I saw you last year in the mini room. I just got a full carbon break jump looks just like your cue. I’ll say what sup this year if I run into you. Khanh.
Yeah just say hi if you see me. A full carbon for breaking and jumping is nothing like using wood. It is almost cheating when using a carbon. They break super hard and they make jumping with no effort. Thank you for commenting.
Great looking setup. 😍👍. Good luck in Vegas and Happy New Year 🥳👍.
Thank you I will need all the luck I can get and Happy New Year to you too.
Happy New Year to you and your family! I’ll be out for USAPL 8ball Team. Hopefully I get to see you out there. 🤙🏽
Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your family too. I also hope to see you in Vegas.
Hopefully see you again in Vegas and maybe you'll have a black storm with my name on it lol.
I will safe one Black Storm for you. I plan to live stream all my matches. It might be easy to find me that way. Hope to see you in Vegas and Happy New Year.
Nice game as always. Glad Jungwoo's hip is doing better. Happy New Years!!
Thank you and Happy New Year.
Thank you so much sir and Happy New Year 🎆🎊😉
so cool
@@Tedsterslab Thank You and Happy New Year.
are you using cte on all your shuts -or are you using fractional aiming
My version of cte is very similar to fractional aiming. With my cte I only have 5 shots to memorize vs memorizing every fraction of cut shots in pool. I only use full ball, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, and edge to edge. To me it mays the shooting easier. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting again.
what is wrong with your game
I wasn’t shooting as well. My cue ball was all over the place.
@@playpool12fyao happens to the best of us=you are a gift to the ones who want to make their game better -glad i found you -your teaching makes things easier to grasp hold of
are these guys using your aiming system
Unfortunately not. They are old timers that stick to their way. My shooting partner looks at the cue ball last and has a different aiming system. Thank you again for commenting.
do you use half ball off set #piovt to center cue ball
I got rid of the manual pivot because I feel moving after setting for the shot is very unorthodox to me. I will adjust and align with I am standing up and try not to move when I am set on my shot. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
@@playpool12fyao thank you much
Im thinking to install horo break on my 12.9 revo shaft & combine with bk4 butt , do you think it will works ?
It will work perfectly. I use the Horo Black Storm for my break and jump cues. You can break really hard and have the confidence the tip will not crack. Also you can use a cut break because the tip holds chalk really well. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
@playpool12fyao thanks for reply ! But the issue is i use revo not rush shaft . Will it still do its job perfectly?
Yea, you don’t need a rush shaft for breaking. Before the rush came out, pool players where using the regular revo 12.4 and 12.9 with a break tip on it. The carbon fiber is super strong regular of for breaking. SVB breaks super hard with his Cynergy 12.5 and the shaft is holding up. I would just put a break tip on the Revo to save money on buying another break cue especially if the revo is available for breaking. Hope this helps
this is beautiful
@@brucebanner-bi2id thank you.
Great looking jump cue
Thank you and thank you for commenting again.
Can you use the white storm for a break tip or is just for jump cues
You can use the White Storm for breaking but the Black Storm is best for breaking. I also use the Black Storm for jumping. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
What is the price tag on that cue
Please PM me on Facebook messenger. Thank you for commenting.
a little late to the video but im based over in England, and i have been trying to find makers or even videos online that show how these work and the their real capabilities. are these machines capable of being made to support a 60" one piece cue blank to create a tapered cue? or can they only be made to work for two piece cues due to the size? thanks!
@@xSiiKEvoLuZioNz I think it would be possible because industrial plants have huge beds for CNC machines. One for the house, I would use a belt system because it would be cheaper and I I haven’t seen one ball screw long enough for public sale. Aluminum extrusion can be sliced together as well as a belt to drive the extrusion. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.

So no pivots
Yes. I don’t do the pivot anymore. I just come straight into the shot to make it more consistent. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
@@playpool12fyaothanks. Do you use the bridge hand offset?
@@playpool12fyaoone more question- how do you compensate for English when using CTE.
Would love to see the 2 tail system
I don’t know that system. I need to look it up. Thank you for commenting.
which is easier to jump with? G10 or taom 2.0?
For jumping personally , the G10. For putting some English on the cue ball, Taom. If I had to choose one of those two, I would choose the G10. Jumping with spin doesn’t happen as much especially my local pool I play in as only 7ft tables. I rather have 100 percent confidence I am jumping over the ball and trying to make the shot and not give ball in hand vs seeing if I can jump with some spin or jump draw and the cue ball did not clear the object ball giving my opponent ball in hand. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
@playpool12fyao thanks for the detailed answer. 😊🙏
just bought off of Aliexpress. 3pcs for $23AUD
A 3 piece jump cue, that is a great deal. A great tip will make a difference.
@@playpool12fyao no no ..3pcs of G10 tips is what i mean.hehe
What's the Horo Break tip made out of?
The exact material, that I don’t know. From working with it, the material is like a really hard polymer. It is not like a G10 but very close on hardness. The biggest advantage, it holds chalk really well. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
I sorta came up with this modified version of cte aiming also. It's simple and accurate. Now I have a spot to aim at. Just a straight stroke. Works with english also. A no brainer, just a straight stroke. Thanks for your explanation. It just affirmed my thoughts.
Thank you, I totally agree but for some reason some just can’t understand it lol. It helps me align my body to the shot better. Thank you for commenting.
Where did u find that big of a leather burnisher pad that u use instead of a Collette?
I got my at Hobby Lobby. It’s cheaper to get a longer piece and cut them to size. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
Beautiful work! Do you see any big differences in curly vs hard rock in shaft performance? Feedback, flex or sound? I have been playing with a J. Pierce KW shaft for 6 months and love it. But have wanted to try a curly maple kw to compare.
Thank you. I shoot with a heavy curly maple Kielwood shaft now and I have shot with a regular maple Kielwood before and I can’t tell a difference between the two. I made both of them on my cnc and I made sure the specs are the same so I don’t have to adjust. I can tell you one thing, the curly mulch kielwood is a showstopper, I get questions about it, but for playability the shaft is the same as a regular maple Kielwood. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.

Doesn’t look like your hitting the spot your mentioning
For most kick shots, one must aim through the diamonds not where the diamond is on the rail. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting again.
Top English or middle
As long as the cue ball is rolling forward not sliding. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
Hi I have a quick question hope you can answer, How do you taper the ferrule if the shaft have a slight taper? When the lathe machine cuts straight it wont follow the same taper with the shaft, hope it makes sense
The lathe has to have a compound slide. The compound slide has to be angled to the same angle of the shaft. It is possible to taper a ferrule but I think it too much work unless the ferrule is installed over side to a un finished tapered shaft and they both get their final taper on a cnc machine or a lathe with a taper bar. Most ferrule are cut straight not tapered. The one that might be tapered are from shaft that are sanded down to a new tip diameter. Also a ferrule can have a taper from a tip installer not know what they are doing. The tip installer will sand the new tip to the ferrule not knowing they are sanding too much than sanding the front part of the ferrule putting a taper on the ferrule. I am 99% confident from old school wood shaft with a one inch ferrule or even less and the new carbon fiber shaft with a 1/2 inch or less have a straight ferrule made by a big production company to your custom cue builders, the ferrule do not follow the taper of the shaft. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
Super explanation the best I’ve seen so far 👊👏
Thank you and thank you for commenting.
@@playpool12fyao you’re more than welcome 👍🙏
Hi , great channel and videos 👍 . Thanks for any advice on the following problem i have 😊. I like to do things mysrlf and am thrifty . I bought a carbon fiber cue from Temu . It had a very hard tip on it and my stroke is not good enough for a tip that hard . I always change my own tips. Installing a medium Elk Master , Super Glue does not bond with the shaft . No ferrel on the shaft . Is there an epoxy that anybody knows of that i should try ? Thanks again
@@RodgerMyers I never heard anyone using epoxy for installing a tip. I heard of contact cement. Does the shaft have a valve plate, a thin material. I would make sure that vault plate is really clean. Also I would use some thin superglue on the tip make sure the tip wicks the super glue then use a thick gel type of super glue. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
Do you use 5min epoxy for phenolic ferrule and phenolic insert? 2 ton epoxy for metal pin and brass insert?
I use the same 5 minute epoxy for pin, inserts and joint collar. It hasn’t failed me yet. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
would you mind sharing the brand of the American Cue lathe you have? Thanks
It’s the Pro version with the large bore head. Thank you for commenting.
Hi, which is better, the predator medium, how titan hard or horo hard. I like to feel the hit.? I await your response, thank you
@@Santamaria15 brand to me doesn’t really matter as much as long it was a hard tip. I use to play with a $3 hard tip and it plays as good as any other name brand tip. The way I see it, how much can one do to leather and glue to make a tip. To me hard tips play better because they don’t mushroom as much and they are less maintenance. I haven’t played with a Predator medium tip because I would never buy a medium tip and I haven’t tried the titan hard so it would be hard to compare they to a Horo hard tip. As for the Horo hard tip, I like it better than the other Horo tips. I can be biased because I prefer hard tip but remember I use to play with a $3 hard tip and it played like all other hard tips. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.
That is not CTE
I have purchase 2 Breach break cue and neither one was delivered in the cue Tec box. Yes I ordered from Cue Tec direct, no third party. They came in a tube plastic wrapped in a Cue Tec Bag.
Thay might of changed their packaging due to cost.
How can avail this cue lathe

Hi. I just received my breach break cue. The white lines you mentioned seem excessive on mine as well. Were you able to adjust the tip to reduce the white line intensity?
I found no real way to avoid having the white marks. I changed the tip to a G10 at first then I got a Horo Black Storm. The Black Storm is as hard as a G10 but it can grip the cue ball better. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting.

How does the tip play bro? I have the S Helios on one of my Revo and its pretty good but i prefer M thanks
Personally I like the Horo Beast. It’s the hard tip but I also play with the Medium. They both play well and thank you for commenting.
@@playpool12fyao thanks for getting back to me, harder tips are better as long as they are grippy, makes table length draw very easy plus I find medium and hard tips to be more accurate on long straight shots over S. I'll try and get hold of odyssey and beast, all the best
That is very true. The harder the tip, I think it deflect less because it doesn’t deformed like a soft tip. Soft tip to me is high maintenance. They require trimming do to it keep mushrooming. Try getting the Horo Beast you might like it and thank you for commenting again.
@@playpool12fyao yes constant trimming initially is annoying and it does deflect more i agree, thank you bro
