Get in Chris!! What a fantastic drive to hold off Atucha and take the win. So easy to buckle under the pressure at Oulton Park. Have yourself a beer to celebrate!
Congrats, Chris! Give yourself some credit, you ran a fantastic race here. I think having that #2 driver chase you down actually helped keep you focused. And it worked! Look how you two dropped everyone else way behind. Nicely done!!
Thank you, and yeah I think you’re right. I was really aware about the potential to make a mistake in those final couple of laps, after he’d dropped back. It’s easily done, a careless mistake when your guard drops. He definitely kept me on my toes!
absolutely brilliant chris. couldn't be happier for you. i bet you are still on cloud 9 😀. these moments don't come around often but when they do they feel unbelievably wonderful (so i'm told 😆)
What a fabulous race. That must be tense all this pressure. I'm surely not that fast and under pressure surely also not. Cheers I celebrate you 🎉🎉. Commentary as always on point. Loved it ❤
Congrats mate, I know the feeling to well and it’s awesome to get that first win, I’ve done 357 starts and achieved 9 wins so your stats aren’t all that bad at all mate, very well done and may see you on track one day 👍

Excellent, welcome to the channel! Glad you’re enjoying the videos… I wish I could say they all feature fights for the win, but this one is very much a one-off 🤣 Cheers
Great drive, well done. Serious congratz on not buckling, I know I would have with that pressure. I got my first win on LFM last week, though only the Mazda's on AC, nothing as serious as your GT3's on ACC. First of many for you, I'm sure.
Brilliant, congratulations on your first LFM win too… not an easy class to win in, the Mazdas on AC. Lots of mega quick drivers in there! Hopefully the first of many, for both of us!

Hey Andy, welcome to the channel mate! Glad you’re enjoying the videos so far. I’d love to say they’re all featuring fights for the win, but this was very much a one-off 🤣 cheers, good luck on LFM!
Thank you Tony, yeah I’m always much happier doing the chasing, rather than being chased. Often, I’ll let someone past if they put me under too much pressure as I know I’ll be less likely to crash. But I couldn’t really give away the lead, so had to grit my teeth and give it everything 😬
Brilliant drive. I completely bottled it the first time I had pole, which was also at Oulton. You took that first corner like a pro - way better than I did when I was on pole earlier this week. That near off on the approach to island bend was actually planned, wasn't it? You were using ALL of the track and I think you gained a bit of time over P2. But, y'know, adding a bit of suspense by making out it was a mistake when it was in fact beautifully executed. I think I have you worked out. 😉 Onwards and upwards from here.
Haha! Well I was favouring the inside entry into the hairpin, just to discourage the guy from trying a lunge. However that was a bit too close for comfort with the grass! In one of the races I did the other day (before the one with you) I got two tyres on the grass and couldn’t get off… ended up ploughing into the tyre stack and it was race over. So definitely had a panic when I thought I might do it again 🤣 but yeah, well pleased with how it went. The race practice the other day certainly helped.
DUUUUDE!!!! Way to go - Congrats!!!! Great camera view from the P2 hood, made the racing that more exciting and intense 😅🤙 - enjoy your celebration, you'll always remember your 1st !!!
Yeah, I couldn’t have picked a better opponent to battle with. He was a little quicker, but not once did he attempt a divebomb or anything unfair. Not even any headlight flashing! So many other drivers would have got impatient and tried something reckless. But he was brilliant ❤️
Well it’s now officially my favourite circuit 🤣 always wanted to go and watch British Superbikes there, so maybe I’ll make an extra effort now. Visit the scene of my triumph!
Amazing result. Brilliant driving. That was a huge amount of pressure! I did think there was a good chance the driver in second would make more mistakes than you, but over 12 laps of having them right on your bumper must have been terrifying.
Ahh mate, it was incredibly intense! I’m just so grateful he was such a clean and fair racer. So many others would have got impatient and tried to divebomb. At the very least, most other people would have been flashing headlights at me constantly. But Atucha didn’t do any of that… just fought hard but fair. Loved it!
great driving. well done staying composed. I know how you feel, although never had to endure that much pressure for a win, fortunately. enjoy it and hope next one is just around the corner. 😊
Thank you mate. Yeah, collapsing under pressure is something I’ve always struggled with. This was the first time I managed to avoid doing it, and it couldn’t have come at a better time!
Thank you Dan, yeah 100%. It’s the type of sim race you always hope for. Huge respect to the guy behind too… he didn’t once try anything dangerous. Not even any headlight flashing!
@@chrisrogerssimracing A good racer can judge exactly when and where they're capable of passing, and more importantly, if the pass will actually stick! If you don't think it will stick then it's not worth the risk. Some racers never learn this.

I think it’s because it’s such a specialist sim, with so many fast drivers in it. Makes the win that much harder to come by. I was buzzing after this one… more than any other race I’ve ever done!

Congrats bud!! Now take that, put it in the bank, and use it to build confidence. I think some of your "bottling"/unluckiness is due to you not believing in yourself. You are a safe, fair, and solid sim racer, and I'd take that over out-of-control speed any day. Keep banging away my man.

Well deserved win
Nice people don’t win, lol
…usually😂
IRL first bend corner entry in lower (3rd) gear, but before using the run off at apex I short shift in next gear (4th?) to keep stability
Of course in Sim things are not always like IRL
Congrats, that’s well overdue, many more to come now🤟
