How to expose a FAKE Met Trenta helmet? (Tadej Pogacar endorsed model)
Backed up by Tadej Pogacar success in recent years, Met Trenta has become one of the most recognizable cycling helmets on the market. No wonder, counterfeit manufactures are willing to profit by selling fakes of this glorious bicycle helmet. Today, you risk getting a fake Trenta even in European retail. How to spot the fake?

Had a crash with fake aliexpress helmet, hit my head onto asphalt - no injuries. My friend had a crash with real 200$ ABUS and had a concussion. Both helmets broke. Don't support cycling elitism and overpaying for stuff.
Is Shimano Deore hub (FH-MT410-B) free from this problem?
Right, though visually similar, it has completely different inner design.
@@ZavyalovCycling Ok, thanks!
There is no reason to wax the quick link, and waxing it makes assembling the chain difficult
You didn't hold the vernier parallel to the chain, that is where it comes your different measurements
Just intalled one in my front tire. Only issue I had was the schrader valve was not tight out of the box. Cause a slight hiss/leak. Tightened the valve and all is good now.
Great video. Never throw a chain out based on the chain checker alone. Here's another tip. If you use a quicklink. Check chain wear over the link and compare. Sometimes these links are poorly made and they wear an oval hole in the links it's attached to = local wear. A chain can be below 0.5% everywhere except at the link and still damage your drivetrain. Buy proper quicklinks.
DTS Swiss or Chris King. Nothing else for me. Never ever any issue.
Hallo, gutes Video.
Your approach is clearly a couple steps forward 🤘 How many kilometers do your chains reach with it before hitting 0.5% wear mark?
a MEK or butanone based PVC cement works great. Camplast is one of them, wokrs as a charm
MEK does it not just evaporate? You mean like plumbing glue?
@@Leo-gt1bx yes. The same used to glue PU kids swimming pools
Worst design ever seen.
Never had Shimano hub. Never even thought about it.
Did you end up getting some rides on the 32mm tyres? how did they go?
In Autumn of 2021 Paris-Roubaix was won with Reacto and 32mm Conti tyres. Says a lot 😉
THANK you for the movie! I wont buy this crap
in my experience, self adhesive patch not work at all, it leaks air immediately once you inflated the tire
i have bought the ride now tubes. most of them are leaking on the valve. so i put a super glue on it i just have to be carefull not to put it on the entry port
Интересный концепт, как то даже и не думал использовать штангенциркуль. Спасибо за идею
Валерий, идея не моя 😀 Просто было интересно собрать и сравнить основные ходовые методы замера износа велоцепей.
What is the Campag measurement number for a new Connex chain.
Any update after a year? My experience so far: I have an XT hub with about 800 kilometers, noise free. I also xtr hub that started creaking in under 200 kilometers.
yes, this is the exactly my experience, I bought 3 of them, 2 of them leaking, but I couldn't find any leaking spot on the tube before installing the tube. It hold the air after fresh install, but not anymore after a 50-60km ride, it lost all air the day after the ride. 2 of the new Ridenow tubes had the same problem. Then I bought a different a TPU tube from different brand, not more leaking.
agree, your assessment is spot on.
I bought this m8110-b model hub for my new frame two days ago still in delivery process. ı thought this hub very loud because of ratchet system like DT Swiss. and I worried when see this video is there any chance to make this hub always loud (like make more tension to springs inside the freehub) fifty fifty chance is very risky 😅
Hi, this XT hud has neither a loud ratchet nor reliability. It’s relatively light and cheap, yeah! It accommodates 12-spd MicroSpline cassettes, also yeah! But other than that, the hub is no good, unfortunately!
I have experienced the same issue with All of the very light and thin TPU Tubes, Tubolito S, Revoloop race Ultra, slow leak, goes flat overnight but unable to find a puncture, the only ones that have been any good are standard Tubolito and Pirelli TPU Tubes, but the thicker ones are not as comfortable ride and suffer pinch flats more than butyl or latex tubes 🤷♂️
If you want to know if a bike shop service dept is competent ask them if they recommend this family of hub. Never fails to uncover the idiots ... Ask them about i9's too 😅
Sneaky 😂👍
or digital calipers. they both work.
My new ride now tube leaks from valve stem jount to tube
I got 8 pacs 2 leaking from New after 24 hrs Leaking coming from Joint of Valvestem to tube !!!!!! Very slow leak.
Thank you. I thought about this years ago, asked on a forum, and everyone said no so I did not try it. I don't have any of that glue. I wonder if epoxy would work. I guess if it is soft it may attract glass and stuff more than the cut itself. I have tried epoxy.
I still have a Shimano silent hub new in the box, they were often used on police bikes. It is 100% silent. The Shimano ceased production years ago.
Rode tru this similar cracks till tires indicators are gone. Gone tru 4 GP5000 tires like this be exact
I used a Parktool checker which showed 0.5% wear so I need a new chain. I measured with calipers which showed no wear. I also compared a new and old chain side by side and again no stretch. Parktool no good.
Excellent video
I have this problem with one RideNow TPU tube. I was hoping you had the solution! Water tests do NOT show any holes. Very frustrating. I will keep it as a spare, since the leak is so slow. One thing I DO like about these tubes is the WAY they handle thorn punctures. I picked up two massive goatheads about 3miles from home. I didn't pull them out, as that typically means an instant flat with butyl tubes. I left thorns in and rode. Thorns eventually broke off. Still held air. Got home, still had plenty of air in gravel bike. When I pulled tube to find holes for repair, I couldn't! I HAD to put tube in water to see any air leak. It's as if the stretchy material nearly sealed itself in the same way a whoopie cushion does. Even knowing where the hole was, it was super hard to see it and hole was caused by a BIG thorn. Anyway, I suspect these tubes will allow me to get home or finish rides that I otherwise wouldn't. Of course I'll find bike with a flat tire the next time I go to ride, but that's ok. I'm super impressed with the RN tubes. Light and inexpensive, with finding a leak the only downside. I'm sure Tubolito tubes are good, too. All of these are so much better than the Panaracer urethane tubes I tried in the 1980's. I'll post a video if I come up with a method of finding punctures.
I typically get around 10,000 km, and that is typically 1.5x -2x the distance of my riding friends. I am interested to see someone getting over double the distance out of these tires. Do you mind me asking what you weigh, and what is the quality of your road surfaces?
All my stats are average. 68 kilos and typically ~150 watts. Surfaces - average just as well. I do several months of climbing a year. On perfect flat roads I’d squeeze 30K from these tyres, it seems 🤪
I tried melting the cuts with soldering iron, didn't work though, it kinda just smokes.
Sucks
Is this a problem with the Deore Cues hubs too? I have the FH-QC500-MS
Does it have a return home option in navigation like the wahoo?
Hi! On Garmins a similar option is called “Back to start”. It can guide you along the same route or the most direct route - whatever you prefer.
RIDE NOW TPU tubes user here, using in road bikes. of the 4 tubes from the same batch 1 provies a slow leak. I pump the tire up go for a ride, wake up the next morning it's close to flat or flat. Holds air during the ride though. I like the feel but this is definitely a turn off. bike is rideable but not close to how it should be/ideal.
Thanks for your feedback! Luckily, all my road RideNows are still fine. While neither of MTB ones is 🤪
I just installed gravel TPU tubes replacing going tubeless while the bike sits I don’t ride it as much and the front tube leaks brand new never really rode the bike. So I broke the bead. Took the tube out pumped it up put it in water no streaming bubbles remounted the tire pumped it up again and then it leaked again. Go figure can’t imagine what’s going on with this tube. Maybe the valve cap is doing something to the valve is tight. I don’t know what else to say. If I even should buy another pair or go to a different brand.
Scooter charger broke so Im using the bikes while it gets here This video is exactly what I needed Thank you
Thank you for the feedback!
Does anyone know the tension of the rear spokes on the vision 55sl?
Hi, it's around 100 kgf. Both sides, since the wheel has 2:1 lacing pattern.
Yes!!
These tools are just an indication not a high precision tool. Given they indicate a bit too early it is to give you a heads up so you at least will be able to change before it's too late. If you want to maximize and really squeeze the most km out of your drivetrain you will just have to at least get a 3 point chain checker, and also check several places over the entire length of the chain and just make up your own mind of what seems right. Chains are rather inexpensive compared to cassettes and then + chainring, so I'd rather just swop it out once I reach the 0.5% just to have some peace of mind. I will also evaluate the condition of the cassette and chainring because there's no use of a new chain if the cassette/chainring is worn. That's just going to get extra expensive for no reason.
Ну так что стала в итоге трещать новая втулка или нет? (думаю да)
Does this apply also to mountain biking? does wax also stay long in the presence of mud and water etc? cheers
Wax does work in mud and water as well, but you need to rewax after each muddy or rainy ride if you want the chain to last. Oiled chains need to be deep cleaned and revised after such rides either, but for some reason lots of riders ignore this 🤪
is the garmin male adapter under the unit already there or can we add one on?
