    I just bought a manual 1992 ford escort lx sedan recently from Facebook marketplace,it help's get me to and from work. I avoided getting stuck with a car payment,and having to pay full coverage car insurance. Overall the having taken on buying a used car is challenging but i think it will pay off in the long run as long as i continue to invest in its recovery....im actually thinking about making videos to show the progress......

    In my opinion the fuel injection system was horrible on these trucks. That huge aluminum plenum covering everything was just a bad design. It was used on the 300 sixes and the V8's. Not sure what the designers were thinking.

    Best is put toothpicks in a potato about 1/4 of the way from the top. Find the shallowest container you can where potato doesn’t bottom out but is as close as you can get it and fill with water to about 1/4-1/2 inch from top of container… potato should protrude out the top so set this thing outside somewhere… wait 2-3 weeks, and save water/juice in a container when done. Spray container is ideal (and you’ll know when it’s ready, trust me. And the smell does NOT wash out of whatever it comes in contact with so best to spray into air and not directly on anybody/anything) this may not be an instant method but requires only ingredients that are found around the house ie potato water toothpicks container. thank me later 😂

    Solid tip on the washer! I'll add, if you lose track of how the old one was seated, it's with the open part (the edges) edges down. Anybody struggling with this, the washer is right there below where the teeth sit. I used the cap of a ballpoint pen to pick it out. Getting it in was easy just using my index finger and smoothing it around in a circle.

    • @bmaiceman
      @bmaiceman ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmmm. That's odd.. won't crank? As in kill the battery?? I'm wondering if you have a wiring issue between the sensor and computer. Have you tried unplugging battery let it sit then hook back up after say thirty min to see if it reacts the same way?? Could be another issue that's being temporary fixed each time when you power down to replace the sensor!

      @@bmaiceman I have a 94 Flareside with 302 and 4R70W. Bought it with 164,000 miles. Now has 243,000. Truck has always been sluggish and always seemed like something was going on. But since it got me around I didn’t really worry much about it. Suddenly it died at idle, so i changed the IAC valve. Right after that it ran fine for a few days and went to hard starting. So I changed the TPS and it worked for a while. Then out of nowhere it wouldn’t start at all. So i did the temp sensor thing. Also the water pump started leaking from weep holes. So i put a new pump, thermostat, and hoses. Changed injectors and she ran like new. Then suddenly it would misfire and under load would fall on its face. Then would not crank again. So changed the temp sensor again and ran fine. Then a few days later it would start over again. I checked ignition module, timing, coil, ecu, and pip. All fine as far as I could tell. Checked continuity between harness and ecu. I thought it may be a short to ground, but never found anything. Not saying I didn’t miss something…. I know i have to change regulator and fuel filter. Also going to change plugs. Will also redo all vacuum lines as two of those broke yesterday when i was moving stuff out of the way to check connections on the injectors. I get an intermittent CEL but it comes and goes. Only thing it says is EGR flow malfunction. Probably due to compressor being bypassed. And honestly that has been the case for over a year. It only throws that code when this other stuff started. And it will crank but won’t start. I misspoke previously.

    Same as mine. 1994 Ford F150 XLT 5.0 302 small block 2WD. Has been starting sometimes and sometimes not. Started one day, got around 2 corners, then it died. Cranked, wouldn't start. Replaced Starter. Cranks won't start. Fuel tank and fuel pump assembly is new (less than a year old). Never replaced fuel filter. Fuel injectors replaced, spark plugs, spark plug wires replaced, and fuel pressure regulator (less than a year old). MAF sensor, Idle control valve, ignition coil, and throttle Positioning sensor have been replaced. Alternator is about 2 years old. PCV valve, lower intake, temperature sensor, thermostat, and water pump all replaced (most are within a year to year & a half). Fuel pump engages, but sound doesn't last very long and someone told me that it could be the fuel filter because fuel stops. Through all of this.... system never threw any codes.

Simple start fluid or gass down the induction system then see if it will fire off the bottle. Just pull fuel pump fuse first to prevent flooding! Let me know what happens.

    The leak that you were left with at the end of this video is an ACCEPTABLE LEAK?? At today's water prices YOU GOTTA be KIDDING ME. 😲 If you want to load and connect that dishwasher and turn it on maybe overnight or while you go somewhere and wake up later or come back hours later, do you realize how much water you waste? The reason I came to this site is that I have a portable whirlpool dishwasher that I purchased new. When I first attached it to the faucet it did not leak. Then I used it maybe 8 times and now it is leaking approximately like yours AFTER YOUR FIX! 😖
