The Swiss movement is better than the Vostok commy garbage they were going to do and it looks so cheap and fake comparatively. Oh wait it is fake… maybe don’t sell and scrap the parts early and let the production do its thing. 🤡🫵🏻

I don't know if anyone tried it here, but with a dremmel and the buffing pad on it with the PolyWatch diamond paste, you can remove scratches from sapphire. I had one of my sapphire crystal watches scratch while traveling, not sure how it happened, so I replaced it, but kept the sapphire. Well, tonight I put the paste on it with the dremmel. It took about 3-5 minutes of buffing the scratch, and now it is gone completely. I do have to warn though that it can leave dibbits of where the scratch was.

Now just can’t find the replacement crystal lol

Nice channel, dude. Got my first Vostok a few weeks ago (amphibia)... I unfortunately sold my beautiful Seiko JDM when I was desperate for cash last year (major regrets!!!) Still pretty broke, so the Vostok was a cheap way for me to at least get a new mechanical.

I want the type 2 homage, they’re cool to me but I don’t get why marathon and benrus run $800-1500

MWC do not make issue watches. They are a rip of CWC watches. They are not 'new old stock'. If they didn't keep up this 'military issue' nonsense and just came out and said 'homage' they would sell more. Baltany do the same watch and market it as a homage. They are Chinese copies and should be viewed as such. I have had a MWC chronograph and it was good quality - just quit with the 'military issue' and enjoy it for what it is or save up for the CWC.

Really great video. After easily popping a couple of bezels off with dull knives I stumbled across one that refused to cooperate. Regardless of the amount of force I used it remained on the $50 shitter watch. I seen a bezel removal press similar to yours on aliexpress and click click click it’s on the way. I was glad to find your video so I could see what was coming. Maybe you can do a video of installing the nylon bezel gasket “hytrel ring” on the other bezel type. They’re troublesome and people are using fishing line in place of them after they damage theirs trying to re install their bezel’s

I'm relatively sure that these are the exact same bracelets sold on Ali Express for $5.00-$20.00. I have compared that and the Forster and can find no difference other than the clasp branding.

I recently found these available online. I had one as a teenager in Australia in early 90s and now I have another one at nearly 50 ! Love it !

Mine is 090679 .. they come media blasted so i used scotch brite on its bezel to remove the gloss and now it looks like its supposed to. My case is shaped like yours but mine is bigger somehow at 49mm lug to lug measured outside. Its my first.. hows your's holding up?

Very nice! I dig it... the domed crystal reminds me of the one on my RMLE. Perfect size too at 38 mm, though not a big fan of butterfly clasps. They have a different dial coming out just posted on IG, hopefully they'll still have a no date option and a bracelet that's less blingy and has a real clasp (a tool-less micro adjust system would be a big bonus and will make this watch perfect!)

This is the only correct tutorial on youtube, many don’t mention to compress the crown stem into the movement before measuring the distance between the crown guard and the crown base. Very important. Kudos to u man. I wasted many stems before coming across this video. Thanks brother!

Just finished my first watch and this was the last thing. I eyeballed it and cut without measuring. Got it right the first try by some miracle... The second hand was a totally different experience, however.
