I love how you bring in the SKX and other pieces for size comparisons

Really like the revised C65 Aquitaine. Wish it was 39mm with a 20mm lug width. The 41mm size was an interesting choice given the vintage character of this watch. Christopher Ward does make a really nice watch. I plan to own one in the future now that they finally fixed the logo on the dial.

Saw an interview with the "chairman" of CW, said they had to wait some years (?) so they would be able to have the "swiss crosses" only, on their dial, without having problems with... all swiss lawyers! As for this one, i'd get the GMT any day, good they did a whole line all at once.
    Cheers mate, be well.

I heard this as well, hoping they stick with now they are in the clear

What a stunner! Man, I love my 42mm C60, but I'd rather have this Aquitane. For me, the real stars here are that box crystal & the rounded sapphire bezel, they just ooze 60s skin diver vibes. Love the dial with the new logo (although I'm one of the few who actually LIKED the old logo lol), and the taper on that bracelet is perfection (and finally, screw pins!). This watch is tempting! BTW, I finally purchased an unworn Smiths Everest (gilt dial, rivet bracelet) on the secondary market for a great price! I was worried 36mm might be too small, but it's awesome. Thanx for sharing!

Great review! Everything covered...I'm torn between one of these and the Lorier Neptune.

I think the display cases make it thinner. I’m not entire sure, never owned a CW. But it’s my next one very soon. Can’t decide. It I’m so impressed with the company. I might end up owning 3. Super compressor, C65 chrono, and a pro 300. Doxa is unofficially made in China. And I love CW had display case backs. You can verify the movement with out opening it up and re-seal testing. I always get kinda learning/skeptical, or maybe I’m just a huge cynical person. But for anything over $1k I need to why I’m getting. Idk. But I also do love so many other dives. But CW seems to alway have a little more to offer than Mido, Hamilton, venecianico- which have seiko movements-

Excellent review. Can't decide if I want this in green or the new Trident C60 300 in green. Which green do you prefer?

8 haven't handled the new 300, but I think that's the one I want! I like the 38 and 40mm options and the more modern look of the 300.

Thank God it doesnt have "Christopher Ward" in really lame font written across the dial...

A green one ona leather strap is on its way to me as I’m typing. Part of me regrets not getting it on a bracelet

You know what. People used to complain a lot about the logo but I think the only thing wrong with it was the placement. This makes it look like a cheap microbrand. Not a fan of these new models at all.

I can see the quality from watch to bracelet but I would look for a more substantial name like seiko or oris ,hamilton to name but a few at over a thousand dollars.

Do you think the green could be worn everyday?

    • @ChillinwitWatches

If I were picking a one and only watch to wear everyday, I probably would pick something black.

I bought this watch in blue from a seller on ebay and the accuracy on this watch is incredible, in the first 10 days it gained about 13 seconds. I reset it back 9 days ago and in that time it's gained a total of 10 seconds so it's running just a hair over 1 second per day, I wear it everyday and while I sleep gains about a second and while wearing it it keeps perfect time, I don't know if I got lucky with this one but it's very impressive, also the person who sold it to me bought it from Christopher Ward as nearly new. I don't have a watch timing machine I'm just going off my world clock on my phone.
