Good to have you back, as a new tuber I was trying to do 2 videos a week and a bit like you started to tire, so going for one decent video per week from now on. This watch looks good on the elasticated bracelet
Glad you're back at it. Bill Gates used to say he'd assign complex tasks to his lazy workers because they'd find efficient ways to complete the assignments to be done with them sooner. I think you've just stumbled upon this methodology yourself. Nice job. Very nice video showing how you slowly either like or dislike the watch as the initial "wow" factor fades.

Glad you're back, Pete. Your channel is one of my favorites, I was hoping you weren't giving it up. I took a small hiatus from watching TH-cam videos, so I didn't realize you went AWOL until a couple of days ago when I resumed. (I know, not the same thing, but it was a nice break to only drool over watches 16 hour of the day and not 18.) Do whatever you need to make it work for you.

So glad you're back! I always appreciated your selection of watches to review and your perspective. You hit all the important points and it really helps to determine whether a watch is for me or not. But yeah, it should not be a chore. This format works, so I sure hope you keep 'em coming!

Really enjoyed the new format! I think it’s important to spend time with a watch, find its faults and charms and form a bond with it as opposed to doing a quick initial impression and then jumping to the next new shiny thing. Well done!

Good to have you back, Pete! I totally understand your hiatus. If you found yourself getting burned out on making videos, and god forbid, watches themselves (gasp!), then a break is required. "Something that requires very little effort for my slacker ass" is probably my life's motto LOL. A Timex on a Speidel stretchy bracelet is probably the ultimate Grandpa Watch! I can envision a whole roomful of 90 year old dudes hitting their Indiglo buttons over their games of checkers in the Rec Room at the Retirement Home haha. Love the new format, welcome back man!

Man, I hate to see when a beloved member of the watch community falls of the map. It's happened before to me. I watched this channel a lot during the COVID era. Hope you're okay.
Great video as usual, Pete. Damn cool Timex, and when the seconds hand hits the indicies at least close to perfect, quartz movements are fine by me. Seems like a true strap monster (maybe a bit overused/tired term by now, but still practcal IMHO) as well.
Love the dial and hands design on this one, it's different enough from the "original" with their own take. The Indiglo feature is of course always cool as well. Btw, I know I've been missing out on some various watch channels lately, maybe hence for me this was the first time I've noticed an accustic on your wall. Which I like, various guitars as gorgeous backrounds decoration always make me happy lol.
I was just wondering these days what you're up to and am happy to see you're still around. Always enjoying your videos. I also liked the new format. Maybe you can add some non-studio footage from during the week next time? Or tell a little story about your impressions. Anyways, good to see you again. Peace :)

Have the same watch and it’s definitely larger than expected despite being 40mm. Like how you paired the different straps.
I like the new format! It is good to change things up and keep it fresh. That is a nice watch for $89, looks like an Omega. Definitely looks best on the bracelets.

I've got a couple of these watches. I've had 'em 6 months. They look good. The time needs to be re-set weekly, and I only discovered a few days ago that when you press the light it slows the second hand down. Both watches do it, and one has a new battery. They're good looking watches though.

Hey, Pete! The new format is really fun. Then again, your vids have always been a fun take on watches. I have 3 Timex Standards now, all in the special edition “Dia de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) versions. Love ‘em. Thanks for the review. I appreciated the strap/bracelet fashion show - looks awesome on the mesh bracelet. Distressed black leather would work well also. Not sure if you mentioned this, but I don't believe the case is stainless steel, which would be a big drawback.

Now what exactly is that ribbed khaki nato strap you show at 6:33? It looks fantastic and I need to get one (or two)(in every color).
I loved how my Timex Weekender looked on natos, but I had to get rid of it because the ticking was offensively loud and kept me up sometimes. Does this have a loud ticking sound?
Love this format, Pete. Gives the viewer bite-size information on the tiny things you discover about the watch as you wear it over the week. I already have two Timex watches and now itching to get my hands on another one (a GMT) before the year is out. The seconds hand of both watches do not hit the markers, so I guess this one you reviewed is an improvement by Timex. Stay cool and roll out these videos at your own pace. We'll be here to watch them :-)

Hello Pete, I've been a fan of yours for the last two years and have fallen deeply down the same rabbit hole as you and your followers. Yostok, Casio, Orient, Bulova, Hamilton, Rotary, Merkur, Shinola, Pagani, Timex, San Martin and Mondaine constitute my collection. My question to you is: If you didn't have any watches at all, which 3 (or 5, take your pick) would you choose? I ask, mainly, because, having about 50 watches and only 2 wrists, I would like some guidance on this matter, please. I dare say your viewers would, too. Keep on keeping on. Best.
