From what I hear, the creator of Jojo was heavily involved in a supervisor role. He green lit a lot, which would presumably include green lighting what World over Heaven achieved against Gold Experience Requiem. I suppose it all comes down to how people want to interpret it though. All art is subjective.

as you said, there's no reason why Joker's willpower wouldn't keep getting restored every time it got reset, but that would just mean he could act and fight normally, as it only paralyzes you if you're stuck at zero. And even then, they also mentioned how Joker's willpower actually can't be reset in the first place, so yes, the argument is correct. the episode also straight up says that Araki wrote Eyes of Heaven himself, there's no reason not to use the video game

To anwser your question, yea Jesus actually plays a huge role in Part 7 and is heavily theorized if not outright confirmed to be a JoJo. Also Giorno is Part 5, Jolyne is Part 6. And yes you should watch it.

To clear it up even without Joker's social links recharging his will in canon a Persona user's will is unshakable they cannot be broken even a Persona user who hasn't even tapped into their powers yet or even knew about them unknowingly resisted a God trying to destroy their will so even Gold Experience Requiem's busted return to zero ability could not break Joker's will.

I'd have a problem w/ them using Eyes of Heaven, but Araki (the managaka of JJBA) was the one who wrote it, so that's about as official of a counter to GER as we're ever gonna get. He also acted as a supervisor on the game. It's not canon, but given Araki's involvement, I don't mind it being used, as it's the only other source for GER knowledge beyond like 5 minutes in Part 5 and a stats page.

The only battles db get right are the ones that aren't close at all 💀

World over heaven did almost the same thing as Joker’s ability and it over powered GER, since that was the closest thing to their powers directly interacting, they wanted to use it.

So I wanted to make things a bit clearer for you on some points you might be confused about that death battle didn't go too in depth about. So Ren (Joker) is a wild card persona user, which as they said gives him access to every single persona in the franchise but one thing they didn't mention is, that because Joker is a wild card he has an ability called Unshakable Will which negates any sort of will manipulation which is why GER return to 0 wouldn't be able to affect Joker's willpower. They also briefly mentioned this with Maruki and Yaldabaoth but Joker has gone toe to toe and defeated many reality warpers that can do what GER does but better and on a much larger scale so that should gibe you an idea of the scope of how absurd a wild card user such as Joker can be.

Yaldobaoth is a literal God and final boss who can rewrite concepts at will. Satanael is the Ultimate Persona evolution of Arsene, and Yaldobaoth's opposite. Yaldobaoth has all of Gold Experience Requiem's on steroids on Satanael countered it and took the power for himself for Joker to use in the game.
