Who Will Ultimately Be The MCU's Anchor Being?
Deadpool and Wolverine came out a few weeks ago and it was everything that I hoped it would be. It was fun. It was touching. It had me burst out laughing at certain moments. I screamed at certain cameos that I won’t spoil for anyone who still hasn’t seen the film yet.
One of the best parts about the film is that - sure. It is a love letter to all the Fox X-Men films, but it actually does push along the overarching Multiverse storyline along - which out of all the films in Marvel’s phases 4 and 5, aka the Multiverse Saga, has been lacking. And out of all the needed exposition dumps to explain to audiences what’s going on, they added one new variable to the mix. The concept of an Anchor Being.
In short, an anchor being is supposed to be someone of such great importance to a given universe that their world quite literally revolves around them. On a metatextual level, they’re the character that’s front and center of the films that the audiences are there to see. On a storytelling level, it’s the character with the most plot importance and if they were killed or removed - would literally make that world collapse.

I’ve been having a lot of fun creating TH-cam videos, but I feel like I’m missing something. When I first started out, I knew there was one niche that if given the opportunity, I could talk about forever and never get burnt out. Comic Books. I can talk forever about any and every little thing in any nerdy pop culture property entirely unprompted to anyone who will let me. I’m pretty good with a...
What Were the Blade Scripts that Marvel Abandoned?

Ever since it was originally announced, fans have been excited about the possibility of an upcoming MCU Blade film. And from what has been officially announced - Mahershala Ali will be starring as the titular part-vampire vampire hunter, it will be rated R, and then we got an off-screen post-credits cameo in Eternals of Ali telling Dane Whitman “Are you sure you’re ready for that, Mr. Whitman?”...

It’s hard to understate the importance veterans have in our society. The brave men and women who honorably stood up to play their part in service to the nation. it’s no surprise that so many of the most acclaimed creative minds once served their country. That Time Marvel Tried to Bury the X-Men

It’s a good time to be an X-Men fan right now. We have a hit cartoon that is so beloved by everyone that it’s the focal point in discussions about weekly release schedules. The upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine film has no one talking about the Superhero film Fatigue. And the Fall of Krakoa storyline is front and center for many of the arcs across nearly all of Marvel’s current titles. We’re only...
What Happened to all the Great Supervillains?
มุมมอง 1.3K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
The hero/villain dynamic is so engrained in the very fiber of comic books that it’s almost impossible to find a hero without at least one deep, compelling nemesis in mainstream comic books. Superman has Lex Luthor. Batman has the Joker. Spider-Man has the Green Goblin. The Fantastic Four have Doctor Doom. So why is it then that in the live-action adaptation, supervillains almost always become a...

I love comic books. For just a moment, I can immerse myself in the story where the physically impressive superheroes put on flashy costumes to go face-to-face with the bad guy. Everything makes sense, even if it’s set in an absurdly over-the-top world. And at the end of the day, the good guys will usually always triumph, and the fans are happy. It should come as no surprise then that another po...

"you dare call that thing human?!" my god that part is deep
I thought it was fun having Khonshu go apeshit and Marc bodying the entire Avengers just because, but I actually drew the line at the moon rock hammer deal, that was legitimately just too stupid even for that story
“ODIN’S BEARD! HOW?” *”M O O N R O C K S “*
saw some kid on twitter complaining about this saying the comic was bad. grow up people, shoe your parents that a smile is not impossible to achieve for their child
This was very wonderful, thank u for making this video, it’s good to honor and remember our veterans 🫡
This is why I love ms marvel. Kamala does what's right because she wants to do the right thing.
As long as stories are well written, i don't have a problem with anti heros. Villians are more interesting than heros anyway.
BULLSHIT GO
Ill never understand god stuff like thor is a god but then gods like konshu just exist and seem so much stronger then the norse pantheon
Oh snap
Wish silver surfer can use it 😢
It was Khonshu possessing MK. Khonshu could manipulate theore.
And this is why I love Moon Knight. He's a badass, he can lift Mjolnir and he gave Taskmaster his own personal 9/11.
It really pisses me off when peopel say that it's a glitch for some reason.
Simple answer is the writers wrote it this way
honestly, I thought it was because Mjolnir couldn't differentiate the personalities or Moon Knight was so insane that Mjolnir just gave up
This is because the hammer is made from Uru which is a type of moon rock and since moon knight is the avatar of the moon god he can lift it
This was literally a retcon done by the writer at the time, it’s not the real origin of the hammer
BULLSHIT GO!!!!
Marvel just keeps on getting more and more hard to bear.
Can Moon Knight Waterbend? The moon controls the tide so does Moon Knight also control the ocean?
At one point everyone was an Avenger lol
also it’s canon that all black panthers are worthy of mjolnir iirc
Moon Knight is awesome, my son and I want more 👊
In terms of securing commercialism, it might well become a Spider-man (Peter or Miles ?) w/an interest to finally secure him back into live action Marvel for good while not totally washing out the entertaining work multiverse stuff in the animated movies has done thus far; I'm reluctant to say how 'the more shallow' alternative is Deadpool.
In terms of capabilities to reliably handle this it'd prob. make the most sense that it'd be Dr.Strange.. if anyone's interested in a consistent return to a 'Savage Hulk' a la Edward Norton, 'in the interest of a consistent return to a 'Savage Hulk' I could see an adaptation which could *maybe* make the Hulk like this but only after going through something as distinctly intense as an adaptation of 'The Immortal Hulk' story , maybe changing 'The one beneath all' to've functionally been 'Alioth' and having that comic's final chat btw the Hulk and 'The one above all' sort of, instead be a ~'wholesome and *radical 4th wall disappearance*' giving the Hulk a glimpse of how much he and Marvel characters mean to irl ppl-- think the irl footage from 'End of Evangelion' and you might know what I'm trying to get at or something like the end of ~'Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time' where Shinji has some crazy big reveals and settlements before apparently reconciling with his dad but before those final 'epilogue' like moments where he chooses to stay with Mari. Whether in a series or movie(s), the Hulk related idea might be substantially difficult to pull off and commit with, requiring functional 'R rated vibes' and maybe even trippiness akin to the auteur vibe of 'Legion' or a Christopher Nolan movie but I personally think it'd be a really poetic and metatextual take for one of Marvel's most famous (but vulnerable to reductionism) characters, not the least since there is seemingly not much to say about a ceaselessly strong rage monster who mainly just wants to be left alone ( '_' 'to say nothing' of 'his other side').
Elektra at 8:06 looks so DARN CUTE xD :D !. Also, it demonstrates how close her outfit is to Psylocke's (Kwannon that is) if red and accessorized differently.
Bro was set by Johnny storm
then Magneto should too
Yet Magneto cant 🤨
Current Moonknight has powers???
In the moonlight, yes
WCA Moonknight had powers too.
I remember when he was just crazy and convinced himself he was physically stronger during moon phases
So Konshu is the god of Moons... here i thought he was just an earth based god.
Hulk did fight in the final battle in endgame though
It’s moon rock
They need to let 2099 wield it
cause its fortnite. cant stand ritarded ppl, its a game where u have moon knight, thanos, darth vader, john wick, mr incredible, batman, harley quinn, and travis scott running around wit guns, im pretty sure we know why moon knight can use mjolnir, its cause its fortnite, theres zero lore
I hate the casual fans/only fortnite fan's, they are just scringe dumb and i hate them because they dont know about these things.
It’s not that he’s worthy, it’s because the hammer is made of the thing the god he works for rules over. 😂
It's getting good Hollywood finally realizing that all you have to do is stay true with the comic material when you're making these superhero movies/shows
Gustavo Fring
Because he has multiple personalities, one of them has to be worthy and considering they share a body it doesn’t matter who’s in control at the time
they need to make both variants of Doctor Doom and black panther skins able to wield mjolnir now
He can’t wield it but can actually bend it to his will, somehow he and Johnathan become good friends
Iron man in the multiverse has a version where he is dr doom.
Dr. Doom having a room inside filled with Iron Man stuff just shows that.. 'Victor Von Doom does have a heart'
It's not his home it's someone else's
@@tstudios8871 it's a joke. RDJ as Iron Man. RDJ as Dr. Doom..
Moon Knight technically "lifts" mjlonir through telekinesis
No
@@SvnMelodies indeed
Giving moonknight powers was a horseshit decision
I think that he should have "powers" yknow? Like definitely be above what a typical human should be able to be to the point that you're like "d-does he have powers? I thought he was a normal dude," but not so much that you're like "ok so he has superpowers now ig." Part of Marc's draw is the mystique of his character & not knowing where the human ends & the knight begins
@@Fanimati0n no
just because he could wield mjolnir how would that make him able to defeat Thor
B/c he's the GOAT
Where did it touch you?
If we're going on comics then they should give black panther the hammer
