14:34 as far as I’m concerned, the Tim Burton movies and the Joel Schumacher movies take place in two separate universes entirely.

Fucking loved this show it was my first entry into Batman and superhero’s I had a dvd with a man bat episode a cat women episode and a penguin episode I replayed them almost every night cus when I turned 5 the show was already off the air so I jjst had to watch the dvds my dad got me and man I remember when I got the whole series for my 6th birthday I watched an episode almost every night this will always be MY definitive animated Batman.

Something that doesn't get mentioned about this series is the choice to make Poison Ivy a friend of Barbara Gordon's. I'm not particularly against it but it's definitely something different. Also the theme tune for season 1 and 2 was composed by The Edge, guitarist for the band U2.

Yeah the embargoing behavior has happened a lot over the years, especially in the 90s and 00s. It's based on the belief that audiences aren't smart enough to understand that different stories can be told about the same characters.

I dunno. Focusing on action fight scenes seems like a waste of the character. The best batman stories are the detective stories, and ones that lead to, and then deal with the consequences of, dramatic revelations. You don't need an interesting character if all he's doing is leaping and fighting. It's why Spiderman needs to have jokes in to stand out.

The Batman vs Dracula can be defined by one short scene that goes WAY harder than it has any right to. It's one short conversation between Bruce and Alfred as an emergency call comes in. "Break in at the bank." "Sir, don't you have more apocalyptic matters to attend to? "It's a blood bank."

I remember this movie. It was really good, but no one talked about it because they insisted it was just another evil JL. It's rather aggressively, not that, but that's what people insisted it was. I wish they'd given it a chance because it was a really interesting concept, and I wish we'd been able to see more of this version of DC.

Even as a kid I disliked this show and it hasn’t grown on me since. I wasn’t old enough to see BTAS in its original run but I got the DVD’s when they came out and it was sooo much better than anything I saw in The Batman. Never realised it but it’s actually what you brought up. The pathos thing. Even as an 8 year old I felt like seeing that “other side” to Batman’s villains made something better. The only part of the series I liked whenever I’d watch it was Clayface and Poison Ivy which… unsurprisingly both of those villain origins and personal lives are actually interesting

Too bad Nightmare was rejected from the Doctor Strange films. Since Strange origin is all about him becoming more humble, Nightmare would had been a great first villain, since his powers could allow the film to explore Strange's past and how the death of his sister lead him to become this sturbbon arrogant doctor, unable to accept things that are out of his control. This could tie perfectly with Strange arc through the film, with becoming a sorcerer by letting go of his illusion of control and open his mind to new possibilites.

I wish that knock it off episode got cancelled because I hate that episode.

I imagine it was in the same world as the Green Lantern series due to Sam Luis being a creator for it who also worked on GLTAS. I also liked how it focused on lesser known characters like Magpie.

I hope it comes back one day. I know Giancarlo Volpe stated a few years ago that he would be interested in making it more adult themed like Invincible.

When you were talking about how it should've shown Luthor kill his dad and establish that he had earned the company, I thought of a fanfic I read that did something similar. In it, Luthor as a kid decides he's not going to stand for his dad abusing his mom. So he simply replaces life-saving medication his dad is on with mints the same size and color and successfully kills him without anyone even realizing it, not because he wouldn't love to gloat, but because it'd be easier on his mom if she thought it was a natural death. It was such a striking, quick way to convey Lex Luthor as we know him - smart, capable of rising based on his own merits, evil but with basic decency, and not entirely unsympathetic. His dad having a perfect, loving appearance in the public eye also made Lex's distrust of Superman make sense; he's seen too-good-to-be-true before. And it's just wild to realize a fanfic did better at constructing an AU Lex Luthor than the DCEU, given the DCEU had professional writers and time to do multiple drafts and fanfics are typically first-drafts posted by amateur writers. When some 19 year old on AO3 is running circles around canon, things have gone *wrong*.

Meant for kids, failed. It looked like it was meant for teens. Likely why they went for Teen Titans, and after that that nightmare known as Teen Titans Go. I fear for any remake for Batman Beyond with how current things are going on in Hollywood. Basically, the Woke. Right now, certain elements are in control, and it has backfired badly as they are pushing their own agendas and that is turning away the fans, which at this time are parents and they will likely watch what their kids would watch as a way to introduce old favorites to their kids, only to be very upset and prevent their kids from watching. New creators believe that they can do whatever they want to favorite characters, and expect people to accept, but the truth is the complete opposite. The legacy of what comes from before and into the beyond is from older fans, that they been upsetting over the years, they are the ones who keep it alive for the next generation be their own kids, the kids of their relatives, but overall, this is something pass down from one generation to the next generation. Right now, the older generation of fans are rejecting what they created, they are open to new ideas, after all going from Batman the animated series to accepting Batman Beyond require an open mind, but when you change core elements for your own agendas over the happiness of the fans, that is when you fail, and it will cost you badly. We got media companies giving what new the best reviews, because these are people agree with the new generation of creators, except that problem the majority of the people they are trying to sale this stuff to is rejecting and we can see lack of sales and viewers, even if they are getting positive reviews. It's getting to the point, where official reviewers hate something it actually something the average person will enjoy. There was the Super Mario Bros movie, the reviewers saying this was will not make money, it was a complete mess, and nobody will watch it because it was not aligned to the new agendas, and in the end, they look stupid as that film made over a billion dollars. Lastly, sorry for the rant, but I felt the need to explain things about the possibility of a remake of Batman Beyond.

animated lex was great. and honestly eisenberg is just a horrible actor. he just is so hated. flippant. curt. and i have never bought him in any role except zuckerberg and even then he was just worse than zuckerberg.

It feels like the BVS Lex should have actually been a young clone of the real Lex Luthor, who lives in hiding and is referred to as "father" by his clone. Keep the abuse, but re-contexualize it as Lex being abusive towards a clone of himself. There's a precedent for Lex clones with red hair. In the end we get the real Lex and his clone goes on to become Joker, which is clearly what they wanted instead of Lex. Why not?

Just gonna leave a comment saying that the Powerpuff Girls are coming to MultiVersus. So we're finally getting that Batman and PPG crossover after all these years. And after watching this video, I hope they'll get a PowerPunk Girls alternate skin.

Spectacular Spider-Man was Amazing 😌. It was just Ugly there childish art style throw me off after the 90’s series. Yet with a BANGING OPENING and impeccable voice cast……( Josh Keaton was Better ) while Barnes was GREAT and is my nostalgia 🥰. Two Magnificent shows, 90’s Spider-Man only surpassed by Batman the animated series 😌.
