Cooking By Heart with Chris Sarandon
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 มิ.ย. 2022
Cooking by Heart is a podcast where I will be talking with actors, authors, politicians, business figures, health care professionals, musicians, and comedians and we will center on memories of the meals or favorite foods we all grew up with, from the exotic to the mundane, dishes that still tickle or tantalize us as adults and, most importantly, we’ll discuss the stories and people that accompany those memories.

In this episode, award winning actor Victor Garber talks about growing up with his local celebrity mom, his funny, depressed father’s amazing French toast, and his developing type 1 diabetes at 11. At 16, he leaves home & school to pursue a folk singing career, which leads to a hit record, and a subsequent stage, movie, and TV career and his life changing work with J.J. Abrams and Garber’s multiple award-nominated role on ‘Alias.’ A fascinating conversation with this star of stage screen and TV.

Hi
Manny's mother Hannah was the younger sister to my late paternal grandfather Arthur Kleiman (later changed to Clements), who emigrated to New Zealand in 1926. I have never met Manny or being to the US but am proud to say he is my first cousin, once removed.
Enjoyed this episode. When she mentioned helping milking a cow that reminded me when I was growing up I would go with my Mommy when she would milk our cow. And we also had a root cellar and had a lot of can food. And also when she mentioned the chickens being killed. I remember after they were killed my Mommy would put them in boiling hot water and singe the feathers and pluck the feathers out. And that’s one smell I would never forget🤣🤣
Hi
I wish I knew this existed sooner!
This one hits really hard now
Love the segment about pickiness 😄 I think you guys don't realise how much this means to your autistic fans. Feels great to be validated in our weirdness with food. Separating food and only eating one thing all the time makes a lot of us feel inadequate, seeing that cool people like yourselves have similar issues, makes one feel more at peace ❤ thank you for doing what you're doing. Just hearing two awesome people talk about food is honestly healing 😌
Loved it! Hal's memory is a gem. And Chris, you are an exceptional listener.
I was in same class in college with Susan at Catholic University and I remember Chris’s incredible acting, especially a performance at the National Catheral in Washington,D.C. Greetings!
Great, were you there too?

Chris, one of my favorite roles of yours, was the dual role in my favorite Dickens novel, "A Tale of Two Cities"; it was an amazing performance!!!

Love you honey! Your still sexy, FOR REAL!
Hi Chris! Huge fan of your movies and podcast. Just feed the raccoon some catfood and it'll leave your garden alone! I have a coon that I feed daily and it never touches my plants!!! True story, lol!❤
Thanks Chris enjoyed it!
Thanks for making this video happen despite all the issues! Good stuff!
It's not that much of a leap to bring an older Jerry back. If I thought of a way I'm sure the clever people who make the films/scripts or whatever can. Anyway, good to see you're in fine form 🙂
How did I not know about this until today!!
Me, too!
Rest in Peace, Mr. Page🙏🏽
I love to fry chicken liver for my family and they love it!!!!
