Fabulous episode Chris. Melissa Gilbert was an incredible guest with such epic stories about eating quite grown up food at a very young age. I had to.laugh at her frog on ice story. That was great. I am gen x too and vividly remember frog dissection day. Melissa comes from great acting stock. Hugely enjoyable episode. Thank you Chris.
As a Gen X woman, it's refreshing to hear from Melissa Gilbert and how she grew up in real life. Im glad she has a great life. Its wonderful to hear someone in Hollywood having memyor being loved and a happy family. Also, the way she subtly noted the one person was her business partner and not anything else later instead of saying something right away, lots of diplomacy there. This show was relaxing and engaging all at the same time.
Talk about being blessed! Before watching this episode, I googled "Melissa Gilbert" + "husband" and read about Timothy Busfield seeing a woman sitting in "his" bar during his normally quiet hour. That he talked to Melissa and recognized that she was "the one"; and she had the same recognition. Which, of course, is the way it works when one meets one's true love. So happy for them and their big blended family! Thanks to Michael Landon's vision and their hard work, after watching most of the Little House episodes through the years, I read the books to my daughter on leisurely summer mornings, after bringing her poached eggs on toast and oj on a tray in bed. Then she read the series to her young dyslexic son, after starting with the "Boxcar Children" books. He developed a love for having great stories read to him; and then they and his younger sister all watched young Laura in the dvd series that I ordered - in their Mama's big bed on the Friday night family nights that she carried on with them from her childhood! So the Little House tradition continues on and on! I must find the Helen Keller movie! They've loved "Anne of Green Gables", "Little Women", and many older movies I've collected - thanks to all of you and many other fine actors who've made true classics.
Chris whatever you are doing keep doing it, you look great! I guess maybe it's good genes or just good habits, but some people age like fine wine, I remember meeting a gentleman who was 92 at the time, looked probably 20 years younger, sharp as a tack and could speed walk with the best of em', I love it!
