    I am interested in gettinga mustang but the only red option they have is carmine red and it looks brown. It's ugly I want the same bright red as the car. But this video says bad to dye seats so getting a white interior to dye red no good option i guess. Just wont bother getting a mustang then

    It is possible that Kaiser management felt that the DJ models would steal sales from the CJ, rather than add to the total number of units sold.

    • @wagonworks803

      This could be true, I believe the DJ line was for commercial use, CJ was for personal use. Having more DJ based vehicles would've been a smart idea. Thanks of watching! Subscribe for more Jeep history every Wednesday at 7pm! - Garrett

    Hey, nice video. Is it possible to remove only the grille? I wanna wrap mine in black, with one piece of vinyl (I hate the chrome look) and thought it might be easier to put the vinyl on with the grille off. Thanks man!

    • @wagonworks803
      @wagonworks803 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the feedback and for watching! Unfortunately, if you’re looking to remove the grille, the bumper must come off the vehicle. The grille is held on by tabs that need access and room to get in there with a tool. Hope this helps! I made a video how to remove grille, it’s on the 18-22 equinox. Almost the same as the new ones, (pretty much the same) here’s the link for it, it’ll help you out. th-cam.com/video/sgJj2QVxNgU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZvMzJ9QQDpqOnG-k - Garrett

      It’s been awhile since I worked on one of these, you might be able to get the door handle free without taking the door panel off if your car does not have keyless entry. There’s an access hole with a black cap over the hole, remove that you’ll gain access to the Torx screw that you’ll need to loosen up to remove the door handle. I hope this helps. Hello there! Im currently looking for an automotive apprenticeship ideally as a painter. Is there any advice or recommendations you could give if you dont mind. Also is it possible say for instance you got chosen for the apprenticeship and you lack on there expectation, can they just kick you out or will they support me until im successful? Thank you!

    • @wagonworks803
      @wagonworks803 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Adam let me start off by saying thanks for watching my video and commenting. To cut right to chase and answer your question, yes, you can start and get into the field as a paint tech helper/ painter helper/ painter apprentice. I started off in this field in 2020 with ZERO knowledge, zero trade school, tech school, college degrees, certifications. Nothing. It is VERY possible to hop right into this field and make GOOD money. I hopped right into it starting out sanding cars at a Maaco, sweeping floors, etc. working my way to collision repair and learning how to paint as well (at a different job at a dealership). If I were to do it all over again, I’d go to a dealership and not an independent shop. No collision shop or dealership are ran the same, however, dealerships have typically offer better benefits for their employees, healthcare, PTO, Paid Training, provided uniforms along with washing and drying service for the uniforms. Nice big, clean, bright, well lit dealership. Go on indeed, monster, start looking for autobody apprentice (just to start off as, to get your foot in the door) or if you’re lucky enough, your area might have a dealership looking for a painter helper. (Typically there is a need for more auto body techs and apprentice than auto painters and helpers). If you have no success, it can be nerve racking, walk into dealer collision centers and tell them you’re looking to get started, you’re eager to learn and willing to do What it takes. Once hired in, it all depends on the management (no matter where you’re at), if they’ll help you succeed if you’re struggling. HOWEVER, MOST places will help you succeed and provide paid training, but you have to make it known you’re willing and eager to learn. I’ve seen apprenticeships and helpers come in, drag their feet, be sick all the time, not care what they do… and get fired. If you act like that, you will get fired. 90% of these shops will help you succeed when getting started. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK, you can do it! Please let us know what happens, comment back. Please check out my auto body collision and paint career advice playlist. I answer LOTS of questions in all those videos! Thanks much! So what if I’m going into Automotive just to learn how to paint cars. What type of paint would I use, could the paint wear down or damage any parts of the car?

    • @wagonworks803
      @wagonworks803 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching my video and commenting! To answer your question, each auto shop/ dealership may use a different type of paint. For example, a waterborne paint is the a common type of automotive paint used by auto shops. Any type of paint wearing down over time can be most commonly caused by two things, one being the age of the paint on the car (for example, 75 year old paint on a vehicle, yes the paint won't be perfect), or two, the preparation job before paint the car. When it comes to painting a car, it's all about the prep work that comes long before the painting, (painting is the fun part of it all). In order for paint to stick, a vehicle must be sanded down with a particular grit, (depending on paint application and the final material on the vehicle). I hope this helps. Please comment back if you have more questions. Please check out my auto collision and paint career advice playlist on the channel.
