Now that's pretty cool! I wish I would've grown up in that same era back when they were being produced. Too cool! I hope to see one in person some day... Thanks for watching! Subscribe for more Jeep history, Wednesday's @ 7pm! - Garrett / Sla Automotive Art
Hi I had a 1965 deluxe 4 door in that same light green color. I don’t think the Hydromatic was paired with the V8 until the Buick 350 version. Speaking of which the one I’d always wished I bought was a base 4 door with 350, 3 on the tree I looked at in the late 1970s. It was painted a watermelon pink from the factory and was the best condition of all I had seen. As a child I do remember a a deluxe 2 door around 1968. I have seen that same car in a rather dilapidated state as recently as 10-15 years ago.
Hi Mark! Now that is pretty cool, the watermelon pink color... I had no idea that was a color option from the factory. I wonder, was it special ordered? A deluxe 2 door would be spectacular to own, however your 65 deluxe 4 door would be a dream to own as well! What was your favorite memory with that vehicle? Thanks so much for watching! I meant to say the the late 1960s for the pink one…I’m sure special ordered for a company. Actually my favorite memory is of my grandparents 1965 base Wagoneer, white other green interior with the 230 OHC motor. We drove it across country when it was new. It replaced a 1962 Utility Wagon with same motor.
