You're right. You should have played the original by Richie Valens. Although the original isn't the original either, it's a traditional Mexican folk song and Valens made a rock n roll version of it. But Lilly knows the 'chocolate' version, which of course is just English lyrics using the traditional tune, but it proves that Lilly knows more about music than us because Lilly is smarter than us!
I heard that song Lilly talking about it's call "Choco Choco Latte" song by Soul Control ,does sound like La Bamba song. I heard the song, but I didn't know who sing it, I never heard of of the group.but I like it. I played that song so many times on TH-cam.
I'm not sure that they know their music Bill, if they are genuine then they haven't heard of just about anything, but they do seem to remember a lot of what they've reacted to, as opposed to those who put in a massive over reaction to a song, and a few weeks later they've forgotten about it. I'd say Rob Squad are my favourite reactors, although they like the pause button a bit too much for my liking. My all time favourite was Jayvee TV, but he seems to have given up reacting.

Fun fact: The Ketchup Song talks about a man named Diego and his favorite song he dances and sings to, that song? Rapper's Delight by The Sugarhill Gang. In fact, the Ketchup Song's chorus is a version of what someone from a Spanish speaking country, that does not know English, my sing the intro of Rapper's Delight like "I said a hip-hop, the hippie, the hippie · Now, what you hear is not a test, I'm rapping to the beat" just in a faster tempo. So if you don't know Spanish and try to sing along the Ketchup Song you are basically trying to mimic words that were already mimicked from an English speaking song, going full circle.
@@AshleyReynolds-vc6ly I switch them back on all the time Ashley, and two minutes later they are off again, it's down to Lilly being a child, they more or less disable the comments on every video we put up, despite the fact that we have another 150 plus videos where comments are allowed. Sometimes they'll switch the comments off on a video we made two years ago. And of course you need likes and comments to get your video seen by more people, so we're fighting a losing battle with that one.

Playing the original or copy does not matter. The phenomenal talent of Los Lobos brought this song to #1 with this incredible rendition.
