Padres are the next irrelevant team. I'm calling it now. They have gotten used to winning these past couple years despite being in the dumpster for almost 20 years and they are starting to turn on players who are just trying to tell the truth about the situation it's going to be ugly when the Padres become the White Sox in a few years. I know you guys are fans of the team but the reality is the team is trying to cut money and ownership is in limbo and will be for a few years, so it’s either keep the team as is and try to make a run this year or trade cease, arraez, king etc and get prospects or mlb ready players so the future doesn’t look to dim cause both of those guys or gonna command a lot of money especially if they do good this year and you guys won’t be able to afford them unfortunately.

At this point it's time to either go all in or get out and trade both of them. The ratings of prospects mean very little. They move up and down until they are called up. Salus has moved up so quickly but now he has been struggling at the plate so his ratings drop. I hear the Padres are even higher on the shortstop. At any rate these two aren't enough to take this team over the top. Trade both pitchers and let's beef up this farm system overnight. And also acquire some Major League ready Talent to fill the open holes on this roster. Forget about competing this year, let's concentrate I'm putting a roster together for the next 5 or 6 years instead of the usual one or two.

The bottom line is that the Dodgers met all of the criteria that Sasaki listed better than any team. If the Padres won, the pressure would have been intense on Sasaki to start immediately and to be successful. In LA they will take it slow and work with him since he will be there 3 or 4 started or maybe start in the bullpen. SD is one of the most beautiful places to live in the US and the Padres have created a good environment at their stadium. Maybe some of the cheesy uniforms were not a good fit from silly softball style to the inappropriate camo.
