At this point it has to be more Dodgers fans watching this show lol... 2017 galvanized Dodgers fans, 2022 was the Padres World Series, and here we are.
Jim I’m drinking your tears! And it sounds like your going back on your word and your not screaming SELL because Sheel ruined your chances!! This keeps getting better and better lmao can’t wait to see what happens next lol
AJ has only ever got a team to the postseason 3 times. The Padres are clearly cutting payroll the past few seasons. They have 3 SP in the rotation. Their lineup from 6-9 is an automatic out. You have no depth. You gave 2 terrible contracts that will age very poorly. This as it stands is a 75 win team. They’ve been good at finding BP arms so that might keep them from completely tanking but we all knew Yu Darvish alone wasn’t enough to bring in Roki.
You're over thinking it and it makes you look foolish. The Dodgers have always been a stable class organization from the time of Branch Ricky with exception of the Fox and McCourt years. There is no shot across the bow or shade at San Diego...
Ya right about one thing. Dodgers locking up yamamoto , just gives other Japanese players to want to go there. Murakami heading to La next year as muncy successor
Hey guys, I'm a Dodgers fan, but also a baseball fan in general. I grew up loving this sport. I understand that we are the "evil" empire now. Do you think the Padres got in over their head with some of the contracts they made with Bogaerts, Darvish and Tatis Jr? Will they trade Bogaerts? also what happens to Cease and Arraez. Keep up the awesome work guys
I completely agree with you. I think the “stability” he’s referring to is that the dodgers invest more than any other team into development and training. Dodgers also have a top 10 farm system. Dodgers have been to the post season for the past 12 years in a row. Dodgers also reportedly have a very healthy clubhouse atmosphere and Dave Roberts as the ultimate “father figure” to help guys through the ups and downs of a season. Padres, on the other hand, were so desperate to be like the dodgers that they tried to run before learning to walk. They traded the FARM for guys like Soto, arraez, cease, Scott. They held a pseudo championship rally before the 2023 season… and missed the post season. They took out loans to make payday late in the 23 season. They also are saddled with MASSIVE long term contracts to guys like machado, boegarts and tatis. And for people that claim “then why did the padres make the finalists?” Truth be told… probably because Sasaki loves Southern California, deeply respects darvish, and SD is an amazing city to live in.
@@JonandJim760great comeback “Hey you want to watch a top two non-P4 programs or do you want to see the most famous professional basketball team with the all time leading scorer in it?”
screw the play actor Sasaki - he knew ahead of time a year ago who and where he was going there was a big charade pretending like they were interested in going elsewhere bums we had a backdoor deal already Shook on it a year ago with the Dodgers F them Bad actors also hope he sucks as a player
If it was a tight decision for Roki, then the little things matter. Unfortunately I think the lawsuit and future outlook of the team operations was enough for him to pass on the Padres.
I appreciate you guys being Baseball fans before fans of your team. You guys always have honest and in depth analysis even if the truth hurts sometimes. Way better than the cheerleading and copium you hear in the morning show on the other station.
When the Jays came out in the last week and they were one of the three finalists I knew this was a bunch of BS. He didn't even give the Braves a chance. A team that has developed a lot of good pitchers in the past. This was a done deal before the process begun.
Exactly and yall gotta get over it. Your money is too short to compete with the Dodgers. You gotta hope to get lucky and catch lightning in a bottle like the D-Backs did. Sorry for ya 🤷🏾♂️
The talk show host on 97.3 The Fan just came up with a trade with Dylan cease going to Minnesota Padres receiving Left-handed corner outfielder Trevor Lauant and Catcher Christian Vazquez and Griffin Jax Pitcher This is not a confirmed deal at all it's just one proposition idea that could be proposed to Minnesota?? What do you guys think...?? re: more control for the next 3 years for these guys instead of losing Dylan cease after 1 year And who knows if Minnesota is going to accept the proposal PS no one has made the proposal to Minnesota to begin with but maybe this could be passed on to AJ preller to consider the deal ??

The Yoshinobo angle to sign Sasaki makes a lot of sense. Good Call.

He’s right.
DID you really think he was gonna say I choose because I'm not a competitor so I went to a team thats already built

332M for Yamamoto AND Sasaki sounds a hell of a lot better than 325M for Yamamoto. Friedman is definitely חָכָם.

100% agree regarding Ben Verlander. Finally, something Dodger and Padre fans can agreeing on.
