Nice lead-in to the video! That was some Foley artist level of tire squeal when you braked hard. "Feel the power of the Fusion!" reminds me of the Honda Accord I got as a high school graduation gift... Any attempt at acceleration was met with a downshift (or multiple downshifts), and the tachometer bounced up to 4-5-6k as nothing else really happened. You could actually feel the difference when there were passengers in the car. It was also the same "Practical Beige" as the Porsche. Grandma bought it because she figured it wouldn't "show the dirt". How about the black Porsche 928 that came into view at 8:28? I've always kinda liked those. G-Wagens have always looked a bit low rent to me for what they're being sold as in the US. Something like a first gen Mitsubishi Montero, Isuzu Trooper, or a giant Suzuki Samurai. Their owners are people who scream: "Look at me! I'm a baller! I'ma drive around in this porta potty with a V8 so you KNOW I'm important!" Barf. I thought the clouds you were driving in to at the beginning were quite scenic, but I'm from the PNW, so I'm kind of weird like that. I also love that house at 16:12! As far as the driving vids with no talking that are scoring high amounts of views... do remember that we're in an era where people are watching mukbangs, Shein hauls, and Skibidi Toilet, presumably while drooling on their devices. You're shooting above that, what with your interests, humor, and views on life. I'm pretty sure you could jump start the algorithm and get it to pick you up pretty quickly, though you might have to stoop a bit low to do it. But yeah... We gotta figure out how to get you into the driver's seat of some different cars, eh? A Ford Fusion is a cromulent transportation device for people who treat cars as a necessary evil, but hopefully it'll end up seeing you through to better things. -Gawd. I just wrote another novel here.

The BMW is very nice but the small engine might be as slow as your Ford despite being a BMW. Top quality though, but crazy expensive spare parts and repairs!

I like your adventurous spirit... pick a spot to go to and see where it takes you. 🙂 Another way to get a good look at an area is to park your car there and then cruise around on a bike with a GoPro. You can get around much easier in those narrow neighborhood roads and see a lot more. But more importantly, if you feel like your brakes aren't what they used to be, I'd get them checked out if it hasn't been serviced in a while. Your life (and others') depends on it. You're probably not interested but your fusion has a continuously variable transmission or CVT. It operates differently than an automatic transmission. It uses a belt and pulleys to select a great ratio that optimizes fuel efficiency while an automatic transmission is in a specific gear. Basically, the fusion is sluggish because of the cvt and not the motor. For a better driving experience, avoid cars with a CVT. Love your channel! 👍

It would not be an Erika video if there was not fog on the vistas ON THE DAY, and ONLY ON THE DAY, you plan to show it to us. Plenty of car spotting (Porsche, G-Wagon, etc) and lots of thrills and spill (starting with no gas, sliding into a red light, speeding 20 over, fog/smog, and losing a camera). All in all a pretty eventful video. Maybe you should look into getting some performance upgrades to your car to help you with traffic and hills. A better high flow air filter with a cold air intake, new exhaust with muffler, and some lighter aluminum wheels with low profile tires would be a start. It won't be a sports car but you would get some more horsepower to help with the sluggishness (about 25 ish horsepower and a much better get up and go with lighter wheels and tires). The air intake and exhaust would give about 5-7 horsepower each and the wheels would give reduced rotational mass and would spin faster with the current setup. That is if you want to even bother with the car as the parts would have to go with the car on trade in and you really wouldn't get your money back on them. I think you said 2014 so thats what I researched. The cold air intake runs about $350 with hi flow filter, the exhaust runs about $1k-$1.5k maybe more with installation and the wheels and tires run about 1k-1.5k with 16inch or 17" although I would stay with 16's to reduce weight and there are a TON of options to choose from. I would link some but youtube won't let me. I believe the car is also a hybrid and so there not much you can do besides what I have shown you unless you go turbo and even then a turbo gets REALLY pricey and I doubt you want to keep the car long enough to justify the cost.

This is my favorite car channel featuring a Ford Fusion. I enjoy your commentary/complaints about gas prices, traffic, construction, cars, houses etc. But, when you live in the San Diego area, your right to complain about the weather has been revoked!

I love the new channel header "this is a car channel" it's very to the point and challenges us to be bored but refuses to be boring! 😁 I'm guessing your Fusion has 1 exhaust, mine has 2 which gives it a bit of horse power. California has some nice spots been there a few times....maybe you can take us on road trip to the Griffith Observatory, or a drive down the Sunset strip, perhaps Hover Dam or Vegas...Joshua Tree National park the options are endless. Maybe in the future if you have the funds, rent a dream vehicle and take us on a road trip to said destinations would be fun!
