You have to love the honesty, and the personal realization of how she actually feels, and she’s relating it to you no sugarcoating that’s amazing in this day and age. She will be successful. She is perfect.
Your sarcasm cracks me up. The facial expressions and tone of your voice just add to your whit. Whether you realize it or not, you're quite funny. Really appreciate you and enjoy your channel.
Hey Erika! Be proud - you got out there and did it, that's the important thing. Your honest, open commentary is very refreshing these days - so many vlogs only post the rose-tinted glasses view and always make out things are "super, smashing, great". You certainly bring enjoyment to your growing subscriber base, so keep on braving and embracing all these new things you're trying. All power to you young lady.
I agree with paddle boarding being boring and frustrating. Other than inflatables being portable, canoeing or kayaking are faster in water but a drag to transport.
Glad to see you have a water activity friend (surf/paddleboard). Hopefully you two are able to hang out, outside of water stuff. It's gotta feel good, getting out of the apartment.
Erika, I think that it was a Resounding success: You got a Story out of it and got to do it with your new friend, thus getting closer as you start having shared experiences. I imagine paddleboarding as either an exercise or, if done solo, as an opportunity to meditate. If you don't like either paths, then.... Thanks again for sharing your life with us. More!
you have to find the joy of being alive, otherwise you always will be bored. Imagine you live on Mars nothing else than rocks , but you are on planet earth so many amazing stuff birds , insects, people, plans threes. basically you have to love being alive.
I agree. SUP is a lot of work for little reward. I'd rather Kayak and fish or just sightsee for a sit on top kayak. Or have a small Jon boat to cruise the back waters or shore line. I enjoy the realism you provide the viewer. Thanks for being real and honest. Good Luck on your channel-I am subscribed. I remember being young and trying to find my world. Thanks.
Even though paddle boarding wasn’t for you, I still give you credit for at least trying. It’s always good to try new things while you’re still young. That sunset though, it was beautiful! Miss Erika, I hope you enjoy your Sunday to the fullest! I know I will! 😀 😉
Try doing some burpees. One exercise to help strengthen necessary muscles and improve your balance that will help with your pop-up You have quite a book collection - I'd love to hear about this and your reading interests Thanks for sharing, take good care 👍
I also sits down when i paddelboard. I can recomend using a double paddel, thats much easyer when you are sitting down on the board. Maybe i would go on a small lake or a litle creek instead of the ocean.. But most often i prefer taking the boat instead! 😉❤️🇸🇪
Hi, Erika! OK, paddleboarding wasn't much exciting but at least you didn't stay on the couch alone. Keep on staying active: it helps a lot. Thanks for sharing your life. I send you a big hug, positive thoughts and a lot of love. And to Abby too. Stay safe and take care, my dear friend.
There is nothing better than canoeing or paddle boarding or boating in any kind of boat. The smaller the boat the better.😂 You were laughing and having a great time. 😊
Abbie seems like a gem! I wonder if companies sell outriggers for paddle boards, like training wheels, for beginners? Speaking of going out every night, video idea: Karaoke! That can even be done in the apartment. Also, it might be best to add a blur between 7:43-7:57.
If you're worried about giving away her location, it's already obvious to locals where she was paddleboarding, and these are just local streets by which to access that beach spot. It's likely not very near her actual home. She may even just be walking to her car.
Lovely Erika. I never understood the attraction to stand up paddle boarding but I have plenty of friends who think it’s great. Well, you tried it and that’s what counts. On to the next adventure.
so we take a raft on a 3 day trip flowing with the stream for a few hours, find a nice shore camp the night. continue on the adventure till we make it to our end spot. I usually try to find areas about 8-10 hours of water stream. and just row 2-3 hours per day camp each night. usually bring everything you would need *lighter the better* with you. camp gear , fishing pole, cloths, and food. Its about finding your adventure letting the beauty of nature create your path. Its not about forcing life to find enjoyment...its about allowing life to show you its beauty, THen maby you will see that its not that we all just enjoy rowing for 10 hours ...no its about the beauty the events the path provided durring the unwanted situation. Being able to say well i dont like to row.. but ill do it every chance i get just for those moments of beauty.
You look so good out there on your paddle board; you're doing something I'd never attempt to do-- never learned to swim that well, wouldn't catch me out in deep water that's for sure
It’s a tremendously, good idea you bring your friend/coach/mentor with you when you surf or paddleboard. At least you won’t drown. No one who watches/Subs to this channel wants to c u hurt.
Last time I did this I was shaking trying to keep my balance. I was definitely trying hard not to fall into the water. Somehow my Aunt who had leg surgery does this no problem. She even has her small dog sit on the front of the board the whole time. Gee whiz.
There are a couple of little tricks to rowing that everyone who was in Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts would know that tends to make the boat much more controllable. This was a good one!
Two things to check B4 going paddleboarding: 1 Your life insurance is up to date.. 2 Your mobile phone is fully charged with the Coastguard on speed dial.
I think you have to get used to it but the flat ones are better that thing is more like a kayak and water seems a bit choppy not a great day for it. It works well on really still water then you slide across very easily.
You're not alone in your opinion of SUP being boring. I think it is a good "core" and balance exercise but, yeah, not so exciting. If you want to try something on the water that is more interesting, look into a kiteboarding. BUT only go with an instructor, It can be dangerous. Also, leaerning to sail in one of the little Laser boats is fun and the wind and directions aroud the bouys is more challending and fun. Once you learn the basics, you can get invited to 'crew' on progressively bigger boats, meet more people and have more fun.
Isn't there cabana boys that do that for you! what about trolling motor for that thing. it gets fun when the shark is starring from beneath, looking at a tasty morsel. Erika nothing beats the couch surfing really... Thanks for Sharing...
You might like a real SUP better, one that you don’t have to air pump, faster and better control. I love SUP myself. You can also try catching small waves.
paddle boarding is easier and potentially more enjoyable on a lake with less wind and no waves -- here in Texas the water is clear so you can see lots of turtles and fish doing their thing.. great way to relax and chill with friends... get a little exercise and work on balance.
I never tried paddleboarding but I did kayaking once and I really liked it. The reasons why I enjoyed it was because we were many friends together and it was also very nice to get some time away from any big cities. It was very quiet and relaxing, the only noise we could hear was basically only from birds or a fish jumping out of the water once in a while. We were also quite high from all the weed we smoked, I think that helped a lot for enjoying our little trip on the lake! lol
Maybe add the complexity and action of fishing to make it more enjoyable. I have a dumb question that you may have explained in a prior video. How come you aren't working or in college? Thanks for sharing your reality and candidness. I like your introspectives on life. Hugs and kisses from Minnesota.
My perspective is that sometimes an activity isn't about the activity itself but instead it is about everything else going on around us while we're doing something. The sound of the seagulls, the sound of the splash of the paddle through the water or nearby waves during sunset and the cool company out with you. >there's no point to this because there's no destination, it's like where are we going. How do you make this fun words of Zen, lol.
Erika, you need to improve your balance technique. Practice on a skateboard, it will help your balance. I travel on path trains to Jersey City, I don't hold hand rails, nothing, just balance. If you want to paddle board, you need to balance regardless of the water movement. I saw you stood up, don't be afraid to fall, it's a learning experience, effort 👍
Is that a friend in this video Erika? If so, that's great. No one loves everything they try, but it is always good to be able to say: "Oh yeah I tried that, it just wasn't my thing."
Hey Erika! I did not know you had to pump it up?!😂 Easier to just walk along the beach. Maybe next time put a life jacket and tether on Kiwi and take her for a ride... apparently dogs enjoy it.
Great job trying. Paddleboarding is nice on a quiet lake or river. It sounds weird but you were using the paddle backwards, scooping water rather than pushing it. Love the real uncut videos tbh!
It's for exercise. Running on a treadmill isn't exciting either, but people do it for their health. Paddle boarding is just a way to get exercise outdoors in a nice environment. If you want excitement, get a jet ski.
"No over-inflating this experience." -cuts to you inflating your paddleboard with a giant hand pump... Noice! My enjoyment of most things usually seems to be more tied to who I'm with than what the actual activity itself. Doing lackluster stuff with a good friend is far preferable to doing activities I'd normally enjoy, but completely alone. And going by her appearance in a few of your videos now, it does look like you do have a friend to accompany you on some of your adventures, yes? That said, the logistical challenges of small water vessels has always thwarted my enjoyment of them... stashing keys and personal effects on the beach, how are we going to travel to and get back from that cantina a few miles away (the getting back part was 50% luck, 50% voodoo when windsurfing), or who's going to pick us up if we decide to keep floating downstream.
The time was filled with almost nonstop laughter. So to me thats a real life good time 😊
You have to love the honesty, and the personal realization of how she actually feels, and she’s relating it to you no sugarcoating that’s amazing in this day and age. She will be successful. She is perfect.
I wonder how motivated Erika would be if she saw a shark fin above the waterline?
Your sarcasm cracks me up. The facial expressions and tone of your voice just add to your whit. Whether you realize it or not, you're quite funny. Really appreciate you and enjoy your channel.
What's important is you're out doing different things. Whether is amazing or boring at the end of the day you should be proud you're out there.
Try new things. Learn new things.
Some people feel the same way about hiking. I love hiking. To each his/her own.
THIS CHANNEL KEEPS GETTING BETTER EVERY VIDEO!!!
Erika, Erika, Erika. Beautiful day, beautiful ocean. Smile, be positive. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, you will find it.
I love the sarcastic humour in this video. lol
Hey Erika! Be proud - you got out there and did it, that's the important thing. Your honest, open commentary is very refreshing these days - so many vlogs only post the rose-tinted glasses view and always make out things are "super, smashing, great".

The drugs weren't strong enough. You can't romanticize paddleboarding if you don't bring flowers
Don't be discouraged. A few months ago you wouldn't even been out there. Baby steps, think what you'll be doing in a few years. 😊
Watching you on that paddle board is actually terrifying. 😄 No but you're so cute and funny I love your vid's. Looking forward to the next adventure.
I agree with paddle boarding being boring and frustrating. Other than inflatables being portable, canoeing or kayaking are faster in water but a drag to transport.

HI Erika, paddle boarding seemed fun. You got to go to the beach with your friend! The weather was awesome! ❤😊

I asked about the book collection too
I laughed out loud just reading the title. 😂

It’s good to see interaction … with people of all things.
Erika it's good exercise. Love the sunset.
I feel the exact same way. It’s more a pita than anything.
Just keep doing what you're doing. At least you can laugh at yourself, and just generally laugh. Humor is such a big part of a healthy life.
Seeing your hair blowing in the wind, reminds me of the film Splash…👍🏽
"I refuse to romanticize stand up paddleboarding"
As you shouldn't. It's just an Uber Eats for algae blooms, sharks, and man-o-war.
You are Sofa King we Todd did...
Great video as always. Hope to see more videos from you soon.
I'm glad to see you with a friend It looks like you're having a blast,as usual a great video
Hahahaha…looks about as fun as pickleball.
There is nothing better than canoeing or paddle boarding or boating in any kind of boat. The smaller the boat the better.😂
You were laughing and having a great time. 😊
Nothing better than boating ? Jeez, Tim, get a girlfriend !!
Mission Bay on a lovely summer's day. I can think of worse things to do.
KiaOra, Bro !!
Just get out and do enjoyment will reveal itself in self amusement lol

@@Graham_Wideman fair point
Stick a sail on the board and go sail boarding!
She’s great!
Lovely Erika. I never understood the attraction to stand up paddle boarding but I have plenty of friends who think it’s great. Well, you tried it and that’s what counts. On to the next adventure.
The golden sunset lighting ☀️🌎⭐️🌞
Hi Erika, I like you because youre not afraid to say what alot of us feel like. Things will get better just hang in there
lol it looks fun to me. well, more than "fun", "chill" in a cool way. you don't get all wet and salty but you get to be around the water
On tonight's episode of lifestyles of the not rich and not famous Erika goes paddle boarding.
I can think of far more enjoyable things to do with paddles and boards.
Like baking!
Absolutely gorgeous 😍🌹

That does not look easy standing up at least for my balance !
Know what? You, can do hard things. 💪🏼 Kudos to you.
This kid is awsome! Lol
1000x better than me!
SUPing is lame unless you're riding waves.
Less of a rush than cliff jumping but then who likes heights?
I've seen people on small lakes with those... with no problems standing... the Ocean seems to be the problem.
Exactly spot on, thank you !
Similar to a kayak up here in AK. It’s way overhyped ! 👍😘💕🌹
This was very amusing. Carry on. =)
It’s a tremendously, good idea you bring your friend/coach/mentor with you when you surf or paddleboard.
At least you won’t drown.
No one who watches/Subs to this channel wants to c u hurt.
Standing up on a paddleboard makes it much easier to topple over😀😇
Last time I did this I was shaking trying to keep my balance. I was definitely trying hard not to fall into the water. Somehow my Aunt who had leg surgery does this no problem. She even has her small dog sit on the front of the board the whole time. Gee whiz.

To keep a perfect balance, you should relax your muscles and mind.
Two things to check B4 going paddleboarding: 1 Your life insurance is up to date.. 2 Your mobile phone is fully charged with the Coastguard on speed dial.
Paddle boarding has always looked boring and pointless to me but I was thinking of trying it anyway in case I was wrong. Thanks for saving my time.
I think you have to get used to it but the flat ones are better that thing is more like a kayak and water seems a bit choppy not a great day for it. It works well on really still water then you slide across very easily.
could be just not for you , i do not think i would enjoy that very much either .
Ever since I was a boy, I have had trouble with paddles. And paddling.
Everyone needs a sarcastic Erika in their life 😂
I’m glad to see you’re standing up against something you don’t approve OK that was a bad pun…
I had to watch the whole video. LOL

A beautiful day with a beautiful hostess. What more can be said?
Take care Erika.
Your Friend
You might like a real SUP better, one that you don’t have to air pump, faster and better control. I love SUP myself. You can also try catching small waves.
Not so shark proof either! - Stay away from oceans on a thing like an SUP..
Hey you were out there, looks warm, what is the temp ? What do you like ?

Looks like fun sweetie ❤❤❤❤
I knew you had friends
Erika, paddleboarding is like surfing.
U have to continually practice before you notice the results you expect.
This channel is Gold, Jerry, Gold.
This was fun

If so, that's great.
No one loves everything they try, but it is always good to be able to say: "Oh yeah I tried that, it just wasn't my thing."
So I see you figured out the psychology of the internet -- people doing something and overstating it just too get that digital fame 😂
Hey Erika! I did not know you had to pump it up?!😂 Easier to just walk along the beach. Maybe next time put a life jacket and tether on Kiwi and take her for a ride... apparently dogs enjoy it.
Funny as sh*t. LOL
I had fun
I support this. #AntiRomanticizeMovement ^^

My fave Daniel Tosh joke is the one about money buying happiness in the form of a jet ski with the people smiling as they hit the dock on the ski 😂
