As I've gotten older I realized that I busted my butt to be happy. I don't think I ever truly achieved it. I've since figured out that what I really wanted was to be content. I had a new house and new car, 2 kids and a dog. I didn't need a new house or a new car but they looked good. I thought I needed it then and worked long hours to keep them. I was tired and grumpy most of the time. When I was a kid I usd to sit on the banks of the river and watch water go by. I was content. Now I sometimes go sit there for the same reason.
Never take the comment section that seriously. There are a lot of people who love to post terrible things because it makes them feel superior. There are trolls everywhere. Remember, most people enjoy the video and don't comment. You have to be inspired to go out of your way to post a positive comment. It is much easier for the trolls to post hate and get the reaction they want. They want attention. Posting terrible things gets them attention. It is rather sad.

Have you tried joining any clubs (book club, toastmasters, etc.) or maybe doing some volunteer work (library, animal shelter, etc.)? The quickest way to build relationships is having a routine that somewhat forces you to do it. Those may not be lifelong relationships, but will open the door to making 2nd and 3rd degree connections.

As someone who seems line a very kind person, you should try volunteering. You will definitely meet a lot of people and most of them will probably be good people. You will learn and polish lots of skills: leadership, teamwork, communication, problem solving, empathy, time management, and confidence. All of these skills will help no matter which path you choose, and even if you change paths down the road you still have them and the will be useful.
I'm autistic (diagnosed) and I didn't think for a moment that you are autistic. Having said that, I don't think that being autistic means there's something "wrong" with me, it just means my brain processes my experience of the world differently from other people who aren't autistic. There's nothing "wrong"with that, in fact being able to see the world differently can have it's benefits. In my experience, happiness is not worth looking for. Happiness comes and goes, and that is natural. No one is happy all the time. What you want to aim for is contentment. Be content with what you have, who you are, where you are, etc, etc. If you are content, then you're in a place of balance between being happy and sad, and being in that place of balance means you're neither sad nor happy, but open to both. It's important, sometimes, to be sad. And sometimes happiness comes your way, but they will never stay. This idea that you have to strive for happiness will only, ironically, make you sad, because it's impossible to be happy all the time. You're certainly not dumb, far from it. I see someone who wants to explore life, to explore who they are, to experience all the things. You may have self doubts, but that's normal at your age. Self doubt is important, because it points the way to self growth, self development, to self knowledge... Self doubt is the fastest and most effective way to overcoming self doubt. All those people that lack self doubt scare me... To be sure of things, without having done any of the work needed to be sure of things, is self delusion. That's really effing bad. This is my third time watching you. You are doing fine. There’s nothing wrong with you. I see your journey as a learning journey and you are finding out that people are just ignorant and say things on the fly. I have a suggestion that you might want to consider doing. You should be reviewing cooking supplies and gadgets of different brands and different price ranges, what works and what doesn’t for you and how you make and cook things, find sponsors that make kitchen stuff review their wares and critique giving your feed back to those sponsors that support you. I haven’t subbed yet but I should just because you keep popping up on my feed.

No one is perfect and everyone has flaws whether it be physical or psychological. There are so many people that hate themselves and love to pick out negatives they think they see in other people. You are a beautiful person and I think quirky flaws and inconsistencies are sexy in women. Having fun and being yourself is most important, never be afraid to look stupid , people love that. Ignore those that spread negativity, they hate themselves.
Regarding the ADD/ADHD/Autism thing. There is a lot to what you said about medicating people to "fix problems", but I have a little bit to add personally. Human beings in general love to pin things down to sort it in their own mind if not physically. It's why we put a name to things, it's why we have categories to make sense of the world and all its various bits and bobs. If you combine that with social media you unfortunately often get snap judgments (I'm as guilty of this as anyone) and hot takes. That's not the entire reason, of course, some people are just rude and.. insert very bad words of your choice (that I am for a change not going to use). But I firmly believe what I described is part of it.
When anyone critiques someone its a reflection of who they are not what they think of you. EVERYONE is perfectly imperfect! You are an amazing young woman who has her whole life in front of her!!

Be content with what you have, who you are, where you are, etc, etc. If you are content, then you're in a place of balance between being happy and sad, and being in that place of balance means you're neither sad nor happy, but open to both. It's important, sometimes, to be sad. And sometimes happiness comes your way, but they will never stay. This idea that you have to strive for happiness will only, ironically, make you sad, because it's impossible to be happy all the time.
You're certainly not dumb, far from it. I see someone who wants to explore life, to explore who they are, to experience all the things. You may have self doubts, but that's normal at your age. Self doubt is important, because it points the way to self growth, self development, to self knowledge... Self doubt is the fastest and most effective way to overcoming self doubt. All those people that lack self doubt scare me... To be sure of things, without having done any of the work needed to be sure of things, is self delusion. That's really effing bad.
Your path is the right one, never doubt that.

Erika don't listen to people - you are perfect the way you are. Your personality is refreshing and nice and is one of the things that got my attention on this channel. You don't have to be a social butterfly flirting on camera or showing your body like is so common these days to be considered normal. You are more sane compared to what is on TH-cam these days. Stick with it and adjust if necessary but I think your channel and your personality are perfect the way it is.

I was talking exactly about this with a friend yesterday! Everyone these days just want to put a label on somebody if their behaviour doesn't fit what's normal for them. People who put those labels on themselves are just looking for a excuse for doing something or not doing something.

This is my third time watching you. You are doing fine. There’s nothing wrong with you. I see your journey as a learning journey and you are finding out that people are just ignorant and say things on the fly. I have a suggestion that you might want to consider doing. You should be reviewing cooking supplies and gadgets of different brands and different price ranges, what works and what doesn’t for you and how you make and cook things, find sponsors that make kitchen stuff review their wares and critique giving your feed back to those sponsors that support you. I haven’t subbed yet but I should just because you keep popping up on my feed.

Reading is the greatest of all life hacks. Someone spends a significant amount of their life figuring out something then puts it into a format that you can digest in a few hours or days. From what little you have said about school I get the feeling you may be a closeted autodidact.

No one is perfect and everyone has flaws whether it be physical or psychological. There are so many people that hate themselves and love to pick out negatives they think they see in other people. You are a beautiful person and I think quirky flaws and inconsistencies are sexy in women. Having fun and being yourself is most important, never be afraid to look stupid , people love that. Ignore those that spread negativity, they hate themselves.
Regarding the ADD/ADHD/Autism thing. There is a lot to what you said about medicating people to "fix problems", but I have a little bit to add personally.
Human beings in general love to pin things down to sort it in their own mind if not physically. It's why we put a name to things, it's why we have categories to make sense of the world and all its various bits and bobs. If you combine that with social media you unfortunately often get snap judgments (I'm as guilty of this as anyone) and hot takes. That's not the entire reason, of course, some people are just rude and.. insert very bad words of your choice (that I am for a change not going to use).
But I firmly believe what I described is part of it.
