Brandecosse brontolare 11" boots are excellent. Mine are 4 years old, mainly worn November through to March. I look after them and they look after me. I will certainly buy them again.

Many thanks again for a great show, very good advice on boot care, I am a bit OCD when it comes to kit care, after every stalk I clean my boots and once dry apply the jollop, as you rightly said, If you don't look after kit it will fail. Look forward to seeing the next show. Take care.

Always good when they are free

I've stalked in SW Scotland for over 20 years, so I am used to the rough tussocky fields, boggy areas, the burns, clear fell, rough forest tracks, the slippery rocks and steep inclines round here. Good boots are essential for comfort and safety while you are stalking, and don't forget good socks. Stalking here regularly requires that you have at least three pairs of decent boots and socks - one pair to wear today, one pair in recovery, and one pair for tomorrow. I have spent a lot of money over the years on expensive boots and none are perfect. The 'Vibram' soles found on many brands of so called stalking boots are far too inflexible for my liking and I avoid them. Where are the true stalking boots? By the way never forget that if you want to keep your feet warm wear a hat! Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them.

I've been told that the only thing you can use on modern leather hiking boots is bee wax. Apparently oil based products, including dubbin breaks down the bond of the sole to the boot. I'm interested to know what you guys think about this.
