Whenever I get a new hero, the first port of call is always Rhino, he’s a great way to learn a character

I hope they revisit the Champion trait! They're my favorite team in the comics and I hope we get hero packs for Brawn and Moon Girl. (Also hopefully so we get Gamma cards too in Brawn's pack.) And I hope we get some more Web-Warrior cards in Aggression or Leadership some day too.

Nick Fury Sr IS the original Nick Fury from the comics. The 'new' NF is from the Ultimates universe which came long after the original and was based on Samuel L Jackson. Why they call him Sr. is beyond my grasp of the situation...

Coming from the future magneto is a miss and easily top 6.

He’s my current favorite hero in the game and he’s so much fun in Justice with Gunboat Diplomacy + thematic Hope encounter set ally and a sea of side schemes.

Love the videos, I play true solo but have been thinking about playing two handed solo for some variance. Could you do a video on all the things you can do on another player's turn? I have an idea of some but would like an indepth idea of options

As someone who has just recently started playing and thinking of creating my own decks I found this rather interesting

So what are the very best leadership heroes?

I feel also having certain expansions water down the difficulty, I've seen a lot of CC of Marvel Champions that talk about heroes and villains being easy due to X card that came in this "unrelated expansion" (I hate you Next Evolution), loved the approach you took here.

My top 5: 1. Ultron 2. Venom 3. Mysterio 4. Apocalypse 5. Red Skull For me the best deluxe expansions for villains are AoA and SM by some margin.

I don’t play every vilain, but Klaw is my favorite. I hate taking more time to play vilains than my hero. Klaw standard for my first 2-3 games with a new heros precon than on expert mode again with precon, than, make a deck to destroy Klaw and face a stronger villain. 🤗

Because of the “ease of play” (being not easy), it took awhile for Psylocke to grow on me. Slowly but surely, she has been growing on me.

I like to play the green goblin scenario as a whole, so although the first one is easy to navigate, it really sets the tone for the pandemonium that follows when green goblin is unleashed in the next scenario. Great content, as always VT ❤

Enjoyed the look at this. For me, you've dramatically overestimated En Sabah Nur, Magog, Four Horsemen, and Klaw, and underestimated Jugs, Sinister Six, and Hela

Any video where you describe something as “dodgy” instantly becomes a modern classic. Agreed with much of it, except I think Master Mold is the best scenario from the first mutant wave! Also, Wrecking Crew is the only MC product I can’t recommend in 2024; there’s just no value there. No mod sets, no player cards, and a boring scenario.

Totally agree about Collector 1. Collector 1 is broken with a slow slow, plodding feel. My group says things like "I didn't get to do anything," and "why do I even care what's on the cards if we're just going to throw them away?" I'm actually re-writing the Collector to be a scenario where you collect artifacts for him, you can choose which ones you collect,, they are guarded, and they help you when you get them. Some are better some are worse, but whatever you pick, the Collector gets to use them against you when you collect a certain number. You get to "pick your poison."

How does Toe to Toe work with Nick Fury if he is Stealth Mode? Does the enemy perform its attack which becomes a scheme, afterwhich Nick, changes into Assault mode for the deal 5 damage, or does Nick switch to Assault mode such that the enemy attack is actually an attack? I think if it is the former, Toe to Toe could be really good for Nick, to get some extra threat on the suit before flipping to Assault.

I do sort of miss how the earlier villains had a lot more cards in their deck (Mutagen Formula has 26, but Apocalypse for instance only has 10). I think the larger "core" deck for the villains helps bring out the theme a little better.

Our group (100% multiplayer) really liked The Wrecking Crew, although they acknowledge that Kang did it better. We liked how in Wrecking Crew and Kang, you feel rewarded for defeating a villain stage. Green Goblin Mutagen Formula is still one of my absolute favorites because all 4 aspects are tested from the very first round. As such, it's been my test-bed for new decks. I know some use Drang as a test-bed, but Drang is shorter, and doesn't let you get your decks completely built out to see how they play.

I really relate a lot to your viewpoints on each villains, including details about mod set, like Band of Badoon being best of Drang, or The Hood mod sets being best of the Hood pack. So I will only elaborate on the very few differences, for sake of discussion. :p Collector I: I always play expert, but I rediscovered him recently in playing Standard mode. And I felt his gimmick was interesting with his low stat, weak setup, and no expert card. The collection becoming his "thing" like the "Stalwart" that fits Thanos, if it makes sense. Now I still think he can be too easy on standard, that's what keep him fairly low in my eyes, but I don't hate him anymore. I will just play him very sparingly, at 2 or more players. Sandman: I find him like Rhino, or Absorbing Man. His scenario has definitly more personality than them, but from pure gameplay perspective, it is a bit boring. Fine in campaign, like Absorbing man, but that's it. Sabertooth: Maybe I'm still on "honeymoon" with him, and maybe he will fall flat in the future, but for now, I put him in the same kind of Bag as Magog, except Magog is way better from a mechanical standpoint. But I still enjoy the 'escort' mission of Sabertooth for the theme pov, and it also weaken some powerful cards like Captain America or Spider Man defense cards. Yes they can exhaust to trigger them, but that is cost, and that is fine. Mysterio: I feel he is too swingy. Sometime too easy, sometime crush you out of nowhere, and while all of that is tense, I think I would play the hood over him, because I love mod sets customization that hood offer, while Mysterio relies on his illusion mod set. Not a bad scenario, totally fit the campaign IMO, like Hela, or Tower Defense, but not a great standalone villain. And that is pretty much it. Very good video, and I think we look for mostly the same things regarding our criterias for what make up for a "good" villain, which is very cool.

I feel kind of similarly. Biggest differences are that I would have Sabretooth, Unus and Juggernaut higher. I would also have Magneto lower and Mysterio way lower. Hate Mystique mod set and I dislike shuffling my deck constantly. Especially, since I have to try and avoid looking at it with the different card backs.

Hey, bro! Merry Christmas!! I love your videos, bro. One question about the Agents of Shield expansion. I have everything until SM (fan of MCU's Infinity Saga). Is this expansion compatible with I have??

Early on, I naturally played against Rhino a lot but then over the years stopped playing him. Recently, though, I added him to my list of villains for testing decks after I tried him with The Doomsday Chair Encounter set instead of his usual one. With this modification, he has become one of my favorite villains to test decks against, and, frankly, is very challenging, especially when M.O.D.O.K. comes into play two or three times in one game (and two times occurs quite frequently because the two copies of the Doomsday Chair summon M.O.D.O.K. -- and also have 8 threat on them).

I think Magneto is my favorite scenario right now, though Mansion Attack is the one I've played the most over the past 18 months by far.

Great video and a great list! Mine is quite similar, especially the top and bottom tiers. I've played Stryfe a bit recently which I hadn't done in a long time, and while his mechanism about increasing card costs is frustrating as are some of his attachments I'm finding him more interesting than I remembered.

I have a lot of similar feelings, most of them are zero or one off. Notable exceptions are Kang, Thanos and Mysterio. The first two tend to drag while Mysterio can be a real non event or cause much tedious shuffling so I really avoid them. I do like Hela as she always lets me build, she can get "exciting" with PSS. It seems weird that Sandman & Rhino are so far apart as they feel very similar to me. I like all the AOA scenarios a lot it's handily the best box for villains IMO. The Mojo set tends to push you to rush or build for them which I am not a fan o0f though they are otherwise very fun, except Mojo. Have a good festive time!

I still love 3 cost hawkeye ally. He is amazing against minions. 8 damage to possible minions and 2 thwart or 2 attack and a chump block.

I am so against role queue haha, if they ever add it- it better only ever be for competitive. There will always be players like me that are happy to fill, but I'm only good with select tanks or healers, so being able to flex based on comp is what I love about the game. I absolutely hate that Overwatch added role queue to quick play, and it's one of the reasons I stopped playing. But I agree with you on most everything else!

Strategist all the way. Rocket, CnD, or Mantis. Everytime. If I have to play dps I go storm. If I have to play tank its Groot.
