Definitely “Make the call”, it gives leadership a unique plus by allowing you to call back discarded allies IN ANYONE’s DISCARD PILE (I mostly play 2h solo)
Inspiring Presence, although that obviously limits me to an Avenger hero (or Rogue with a bunch of Avenger allies), with Make the Call as a close second!
Based on the cards you said you liked in leadership Nelson, you might like the deck I posted named "The House Always Wins". Its a Black Panther deck that uses Suit up to recur Maria Hill and Shuri in order to not only get all of T'Challa's upgrades out but to also get Iron Man voltron built up simultaneously in a few turns.
This series is fantastic. Thank you both for everything you do and making this content and sharing your knowledge and opinions. It’s such a joy to see these videos pop up.
I am surprised you didn’t talk about Voltron’s signature allies. Whenever new leadership cards are released look forward to trying out Voltron Black Cat. Honey Badger, Vivian, and Diamondback are also amazing Voltrons especially with sidekick. Diamondback absolutely slaughters masses of Minions or multi villains. It may be a bit finicky to get out but they are all absolutely devastating. Jubilee’s Wolverine is also amazing Voltroned with sidekick. My theory is that Wolverine was designed to help Jubilee with Steady/Stalwart villains.
In multiplayer you can make the call to someone else's discard pole and make their signature ally your sidekick. There are some interesting combos there that haven't been explored
Talking about breaking ally limit: Starlord running all avengers allies can run Avengers Tower, Knowhere, and Triskelion getting you to 6 without needing another player.
I’m not sure if this was hit on but I love playing Voltron at higher player counts. I have honorary X-Men, Avenger, and Guardian decks all intended to be played together. Adding players increases the consistency since you only need 1 player to play 1 Ally that all players can start upgrading.
I jumped into this game around the time of the Red Skull release, and Ready for Action, as primarily a protection player, made me feel good about using allies to block consistently in leadership, I would say that and Rapid Response combos were beginning of Leadership being good.
Good discussion. As someone who generally would like the game to be harder, I’d love to see Make The Call get removed from the game after you use it like Go For Champions.
What's your favorite Leadership card?
Mission Leader, because I am a team player 😊
I really like the Adam Warlock ally but don’t find enough builds to make use of him.
@wkylegreen he works amazingly well in Domino Leadership deck. I like stacking her with wild cards, so he becomes a very versatile option.

Oh awesome! Ill def check that out!
You're both gentlemen and scholars.
And, if I may, you're a saint
@@VillainTheory Thanks bro!
Budget Voltron: Ronin + Inspired + Honorary Avenger + Mighty Avengers + Team Training = 4/5/5 = 25 damage. Why block? Just keep healing...

Terrific cast, gentlemen! Really enjoyed it!

The community should do a recorded event, where you two can do commentary over the gameplay!
Adam Warlock is my personal favourite voltron ally.

Good job, guys! Can’t wait to hear you talking about repurp… I mean, protection in the next episode.
Re-what-now? Never heard of that card. Nope. Definitely won't be talking about it lots and lots and lots... 😉

I love playing yondu and having him on the table for the rest of the game
Seeing Sidekick on the list! Insta-like. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Haha! I thiiink we asked your question too!
Favourite card for Villain--> Repurpose 😁 Can't wait for some Protection talk 😊
Re-what-now? Never heard of that card... 😉
Thanks for listening!

Ready for Action is such a fun card, great mention!
Love this series. I hope you can sell me on Leadership cards outside of Sidekick.
Great episode as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Protection until I Die! @NelsonAllOverCards

I’m currently playing SM camapign with leadership Spider-man & Aggro Spider-ham, and so far I really like Black cat as voltron sidekick
Black Cat is still good all these years later! Awesome
All in favour of calling a hero that protects his allies “block-chump”?
Love it
