Fish Roe Fried Rice in 10 minutes (DELICIOUS) - Cooking With You
Fish Roe Fried Rice (10 Minutes Easy & Quick Recipe)
This Fish Roe Fried Rice recipe is cooked in under 10 minutes with staple items that freeze very well or that hardly expires (like the Chinese sausages). It’s a traditional fried rice that has a nice twist with fish roe added. No special Asian condiments required.
This recipes calls for 3 servings.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of cooked jasmine rice (left out at room temperature for at least 2 hours without a lid)
- 3 Chinese sausage links
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 small white onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of defrosted mixed diced veggies
- 1/8 teaspoon grounded white pepper (optional)
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons chicken broth mix powder
- 2 tablespoons of tiny fish roe
- Oil for cooking
Directions:
1. Mince 4 garlic cloves very finely. Set aside on a large plate.
2. Diced 1 small white onion. Set aside on the large plate with the garlic.
3. Cut 3 Chinese sausage links by cutting it into 4 long pieces then thinly cut the long pieces into tiny pieces. Set aside on the large plate.
4. Oil your wok and set the fire on high heat. Beat two whole eggs in a bowl and pour it into the wok and cook faully and cut into small pieces with your spatula. Set it aside on a small bowl.
5. Oil your wok again with the fire still on high heat, put the minced garlic and Chinese sausage pieces and cook until the garlic is golden brown.
6. Put in the diced onions and 1 cup of defrosted mixed diced veggies. Stir and cook until the onion is translucent.
7. Put 3 cups of cooked jasmine rice into the wok. Make sure your rice was put out for at least 2 hours at room temperature without a lid so that any moisture is evaporated to avoid a soggy fried rice.
8. Put in yours seasonings which are 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1/8 teaspoons of ground white pepper and 1 & 1/2 teaspoons chicken broth mix powder.
9. Stir until until you don’t see any white clumps of rice. If there are, just break them up with your spatula and continue stirring.
10. Once your rice is well mixed with all of the other ingredients, put in 2 tablespoons of tiny fish roes and mix it well.
11. Add the cooked eggs that we had set aside into the pan and mix well. Once well mixed, turn off the heat and your fish roe fried rice is ready.

    Just blending the Pandan leaves didnt work at all for me. It tastes like grass. Are you sure your pandan extract is only adding color to it? I tried blending and also cooking it whole together with the rice with the effect of 0 taste added to it.

    🌽Cambodian Grilled Corn with Coconut Sauce🌾 12 corns on the cob Mix 1 can (400 ml) of coconut milk with 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 3 Tbsp sugar Green onions for garnishing In a medium sized pot on medium heat, pour in 400 ml of coconut milk which is the entire can. Pour 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and stir quickly to completely incorporate it with the coconut milk to avoid clumpy parts. Constantly stir the mixture until you have a thick texture and turn off the heat. Immediately add in the chopped green onions and stir until it is all incorporated and transfer to a medium sized bowl. On the grill at medium heat, place the corn on the cobs.
