Please tell me that your ecu is not modified. I have just put a 355 into my vp and have blue tops and walbro pump, will this work without a tune or is it a pig at idle and around town?
It's all in the tune man!! Definitely need it if you want the best from your combo
what exhaust setup? ecotecs never sound this good
It's a $250 blackops 2.5inch catback system from a VT-VZ. Had to modify it slightly to fit the VS.

@@unclesmate yeah they were ebay extractors, Tiger brand or something like that, again had to modify slightly to fit the different catback.

No way man, stock motor, stock cooling system all works great.
Did this ever get to got without the intercooler?
Nah it ran good even in summer. Was on E85 though.

Thanks. Yeah that engine still had the banana manifold, it ran 11.8@112mph without Gas. It was on a 150hp shot. That same engine was put into my yellow VS GTSR and ran 11.3@117mph N/A and 10.4@133 with the a 150hp shot.
@rapposracing8538 awesome, just finished a Zex kit install on my HK. Runs 11.0@122 NA and going to spray 150 and see how it goes
@@MrPig208 yeah nice that'll probably go very close to high 9 if it hooks up. My yellow car could of been quicker on the 10.4 run but had wheelspin
@rapposracing8538 my HK hooks up well NA off transbrake at 5200 so hoping that continues

I use the sonnax build charts from there website. This one is basically a Level 2. I'm haven't used any billet shafts or the real expensive parts yet. Maybe on the next 1.
@@rapposracing8538 aw yea cool looking to put sonnax gear into mine and a 4l79 drum that uses turbo 350 clutches little bit bigger apparently. Cheers mate.

What’s the compression ratio on this engine?
It was about 10.5 to 1. The block was 040 with flat tops. Not zero decked and standard heads
Mate this 355 flys...who built it as me and my brother are after the same 355 set up as yours...we decided to stay true to the iron lion 5litres and not go the ls route
Thanks mate!! Yeah I've stuck with the iron lion. So I had machine work and heads done by Westend and I put it all together.

@@rapposracing8538 Yeh the sound isn't great. A lot of fun though. My fastest no gas with the blower was an 11.23@123. Our turbo car sounded like a 2 stroke dirt bike inside 🤣 It's amazing how much power the stock block and cranks can tolerate.

Thanks mate!! I did 2 runs before this without the Nitrous, both were 12.1@113mph and the intake temps went over 130deg buy the end!!. So dropped a little bit.
That seems a little slow, I would think it should be faster plus bouncing that rev Limiter on that late shift didn’t help
Yeah there is more in it, this was only the first night at the track, needs a few adjustments but apparently it's already the quickest V6 Commodore with factory M90 blower. I Think a bit more track time plus couple small changes I can run high 9s and on a very low budget.
I'm building an Ecotec Stock Single Turbo in my S10 pick-up, what do you need to prepare your engines? What power can I draw from this engine without preparation?
I'm no V6 expert this is my first build. But what I did for preparing with boost was open the ring gaps a bit, head studs and Cometic Gaskets. This is a low budget build and time will tell how long it lasts
