Games for under $1: The CHEAPEST Games on the PlayStation Network

It's time to take a look into the weird world of the super low budget video games available on the PlayStation Network. The games featured here all cost less than £1 and are the cheapest games available on PSN. This doesn't include games that hit the sub-£1 price whilst on offer - everything here is priced in the pennies whilst at full-price. Many of these titles seem to exist solely to sell yo...

Star Fighter 3000 (PS1, 1996) - Is the Acorn Archimedes classic any good on the PlayStation?
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Originally released for the Acorn Archimedes in 1994, this flight combat game saw ports to the 3DO, PC, Sega Saturn, and finally the Sony PlayStation by 1996. Sadly, the PlayStation and Saturn versions are not particularly great versions, suffering from awkward controls and very dated graphics, even by early PlayStation standards. Venture outside the home consoles however, and you'll find yours...

Blacksea Odyssey (PS4, 2018) - Nobody seems to know about this game?
มุมมอง 7724 ปีที่แล้ว
A self-proclaimed 'Violent Top-Down Rogue-Lite Space Shoot 'em Up RPG' that was given a limited physical release on PlayStation 4 via Play Asia (1500 copies). A fun little Rogue-Like title that takes a bit of time to get going, but once it does has some cool elements to explore. Also available for PC through Steam, which I imagine would be the best way to experience the game as this title begs ...

I think the fact that you are playing as Tulley in the Turbo CD version is one of the strangest things I've ever heard related to a video game.
It makes you wonder how much they knew about the source material to begin with.
Both Atari and Intellivision produced the most objectively white baby - boomerific generic 1950's "hey fellow kids" games in human history. I laugh when I think how jealous I was as an Atari owner of my Intellivision buddies at the time. Astrosmash, Skiing, Lock ' Chase, Shark Shark! , Burger Time and Bump 'N Jump were actually pretty groovy to be fair. The games on this collection however... not so much. What, no AD&D games?
Pretty much anything that needed licensing was missing out here, with the exception of some re-named sports games.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who found out about this. I thought I was high bruh😂😂 Legit look like it gives your PS5 malware bro😂😂😂
One of the most bizarre experiences on the PS5 by a long shot
Ah scooby doo and the cyber chase. I remeber playing the game to the final level... And never freaking beating it!! And not because i was a dumb kid who couldnt play games. No! Its because i was a dimb kis who broke is playstation! Though i do remember the game being hard so skill would've be am issue regardless... And after watch the vid, yeah skill issue hit my tiny hands hard lol
Sounds like you have some unfinished business... Time to go back and beat it?
Lol if I can find a copy I will!
The rat with a shotgun in tom and jerry frantic antics is a intense mob
It doesn't mess around, that's for sure.
Tom & Jerry mouse hunt, was actually planned to be multiplayer. There is a gap between the single player and option menu someone found several byte flips to have two player pop up, selecting it just crashes the game.
Interesting, that does kinda make sense given the nature of the game too
Awsome video! Keep it up
My favorite Scooby Doo game was actually Scooby Doo Mysteries on the Sega Genesis. Was also my very first point and click adventure game!
Definitely one I should check out, point and click adventure feels like a much better fit for Scoob
Honestly I don’t think your that skilled lol and incredibly painful because you gotta press buttons lol man up son
Wow! I just watched your video in its entirety! Amazing! What a deep dive! It was very good. Thanks for your content....id like to offer some unasked for constructive criticism, lol. It was such a great video, i think a lovely final touch wouldve been to say something like "thanks for watching" and goodbye. It just seemed to end a little abruptly. Just a thought. Looking forward tonwatching more of your content. Oh and btw i can say this as a 44 year old...in the day, as a child, those little LCD systems were prettt good! 😂
Thank you! I often record a proper outro, go off on a tangent, and end up cutting it thanks to it being 2-3 minutes long! So in other words, I agree 🤣.
I thought I would hate the cartoony looking characters in 2020 but the customisation makes it all better. I just wished they added more games like gymnastics :/
I have this game it's just nostalgia to my knowledge
Thanks for making this video! It's so sad that IOC has opted to make NFT videogames instead of this gems, I wish in LA 2028 we get a realistic videogame again, because the cartoon theme is getting a little boring in the last editions
I agree, by LA 2028 it will have been 16 years since London 2012. Surely we can produce something great by then!
London 2012 doesn’t feel like a game that came out in 2012 it was surley ahead of its time
For a 12 year old game it really nails simulating the look and feel of the Olympics as it was presented on television. Definitely something we should celebrate!
Scooby unmasked is like SLY Cooper! Cool!
All these games need a remake or a come back for the PS5.
I’d play them!
I honestly feel that mystery mayhem is the best "Scooby doo" game, but not the best "Scooby doo game". As a game its bad, no doubt. Gameplay consists of walking with an occasional monster brake, and a (thankfully) even more occasional on rails temple run section. Remove the gameplay and you would have had a really faithful miniseries spin-off
my favorite remains scooby doo unmasked because it reminds me of Crash Bandicoot in the gameplay and I'm obsessed with Crash Bandicoot
Can’t argue with that!
I was one of the devs, come look at what I'm up to now.
That’s awesome! Loving the pixel art videos!
Classic Creep Capers on the N64 is my favorite besides the camera placements being annoying and requiring a save card.. I have been jump scared and still had fun with the game. I do believe a good Scooby Doo game could be a mixture of hide and seek and the board game Clue combined
Classic Creep Capers has been mentioned a lot, I’ll have to try it out.
London 2012 has always been my fav. Wonderful graphics, new games and loved to play it
Boring tapping one button no challenge
Track and field and olyimics button mashing are the best times
Why they didnt make paris2024?
Good question! We got some kind of smartphone game by the looks of it, but nothing more.
Зачем они превратили игры про Олимпийские игры в подобие Марио Пати??! Зачем эта мультяшность и спецэффекты?
12:35 it wouldn’t be the fucking Olympics of that was the case
I only have played London Olympics
Not a bad option to start with at all!
I really liked London 2012. The control scheme was right (compared to earlier games). In my opinion Athens 2004 was the deepest, but I had troubles with button mashing. The Torino and Vancouver games were great also. I have Tokyo and play it a lot with my son. If we could get back to the London game model, I would get it in a heartbeat. Winning gold included anthems (though short) but that was huge.
I do hope we see another full game in the future! The more they can move away from button mashing and make controls more timing and precision based the better.
I love this game so much, also love that you can play as Zurg in Toy Story 3 ps3
THAT'S A FOUL THROW
This man needs to be my friend 🙂 Just came across this channel for the first time. I'm amazed at the number of titles he has on his shelves 💪💪💪
Great video. Congratulaions. If you make a video about newer games, take into account Medal winners 24.
Thanks! Will do!
@@ProjectPlayGaming Great. I hope to see suach a video in the future. Thanks.
The PS2 version of War of the Whiskers has a case of "Rayman Arena Syndrome". It was a PS2 exclusive for a couple months, so they added extra bells and whistles for the other platforms. There is an option to play with 4 simultaneous players in the other versions. Gamecube and Xbox load times are basically non-existent as well.
I need London 2012 on PS5! It’s still so good
this game walked so Ace combat could run!!
I remember Torino 2006 being a game I play ALOT!
That’s awesome!
Athens 2024 is the BEST
Athens 2004 was my favourite when I was younger, London 2012 was the best overall. 👍
Loved Athens 2004 growing up but i am still scarred from the button mashing haha Also played Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010. Slight preference to Torino. Thats where i feel like it all came together for winter games
Thanks for the video, but these games are not interesting for you, just because you suck at it. I played half of them, got good, and really enjoyed it
Loved Sydney 2000
I never liked Olympics games because of button mashing. The prospect of ruining controllers or my fingers always put me off! I’d hope the haptics of modern controllers will make control schemes in future games (if there are any) more inventive, like the diving and gymnastics controls you showed in the vid.
1) London 2012 2) Athens 2004 3) Torino 2006 / Vancouver 2010
ทำไมไม่มีประเทศไทยในเกมส์โอลิมปิกอ่ะ
Note: On the title screen of Mouse Hunt, he mentions that Tom and Jerry are melting, the reason was because you were playing the European version of this game. (btw this game slaps 'cos its down right fun and hilarious) There is a reference in this game, the title screen music is based of the opening of the 1975 Tom and Jerry Show, same goes for the end and the game over screen.
I remember watching these youtube gameplays of mouse atack...best childhood moments
LONDON 2012🎉
Oh man I'm a huge fan I actually collected all the Olympics from 2000 to present. For some reason Rio Olympics is hard to find.
The 2028 Olympics game was released decades ago. It's called California Games 🏄🏻♂️
Nagano was much better on the Nintendo 64
I can imagine the controls feeling a lot better on N64 to be honest
@@ProjectPlayGaming yes but it was hard to play never won gold at downhill
