Night Of 100 Frights is no doubt the best Scooby-Doo game, i really hope they reboot it someday
Your just wrong spooky swamp if factually the best
Mystery Mayhem is best
Night of 100 Frights was a veeery large part of my childhood. Shit's goated
I wish. They could make a second game or a remaster and it would be a dream come true lol
Night of 100 Frights is my childhood
Unmasked and Night of 100 Frights are my absolute faves! Still happily play them to this day!
YES I SAY THE SAME THING REMASTER NIGHT OF 100 FRIGHTS!
@@yvette76lb exactly
bruh...i am crying over this, this was all of my childhood, great to see it again, might emulate the games tbh
Amem
And those were the first scooby doo games I ever played on PlayStation
As a former speedrunner of first frights I can say your assessment is accurate but I do love the the stories in both the "lego Scooby-Doo" games as well as I genuinely find beauty in simplicity. Thanks for reviewing my childhood ♡
First fights and spooky swamp are my favs absolute nostalgia
I had the Wii version of them
@@zorei7071 same dude, best wii game I had besides Lego Batman.
@@zorei7071 i had the PS2 version
@@Pinsonneaultmotorsports I’m playing through the ps2 version on my modded ps3
Unmasked is without a doubt my favourite. I remember playing it so much as a kid. I picked it up a few months ago and had a fun time.
An underrated platformer imo
Reading the comments it seems a lot of people had a great time with UnmaskedX maybe I should give it another shot!
This video is pure nostalgia, I used to play Scooby-Doo Night of 100 frights a lot as a kid! Great job on the video by the way, I made sure to leave a like and I subscribed. 😁👍
Thanks!
Night of 100 frights was one of my favorite PlayStation 2 platformers growing up, I replay it about every other year and always go for 100%. The atmosphere perfectly recaptures the one from the original show.
Very much agree! Easily the game that feels most like the original series.
Dude same, I own it on Xbox, PS2, and GameCube. I've 100% completed it on every system.
How can you pass Wreck on Deck pt 2?! Lol it always ruins my 100%
I've been looking for someone to review these games for years!!! Thank you so much!!! The nostalgia is unreal!!! Would you be able to play these games like a full play through? You have a new subscriber!!!
Thanks! A full playthrough? Maybe one day! Most of them seem beatable in a fairly short amount of time.
@@ProjectPlayGaming yeah thats true aha, a mini play through then 😎. Idk just seeing your reaction to the game or breakdown of the game while playing it would be sick :))
Unmasked was the game I had a kid. Hearing you go over the different moves and collectibles made me so nostalgic. I have a copy on ps2 now, just need to get it out of storage. I miss this game, it’s so underrated in my opinion. Though, I am someone who has a special interest in TV/Movie/Book tie in video games from around this era.
to me mystery mayhem nailed the aspect of scary. As a scooby doo game it's likely not the best but in terms of atmosphere and music it's probably the closest thing to the actual show. The mystery element was......yeah pretty mediocre. But the enemies were by far the scariest looking in any of these scooby doo games other than episode 2 of first frights maybe. Like dude one of the enemies is a literal twister monster.......kinda cool but seeing that thing approach you while your in the middle of a deserted town is scary. Overall, mystery mayhem felt more like a rated E horrer game more than anything
I’d disagree and say Night of 100 Frights was a lot more scarier, for a Scooby Doo game. The atmosphere, the dreary colours, the music, the cinematography, the level design and the occasional jump scare here and there, all of that was a large contribution to how scary, and big, the game was.
I never really played these games as a kid except for cyber chase, never finished it though. This makes me want to play them. Especially night of 100 frights. Great video
Thanks! I'd definitely recommend Night of 100 Frights.
Binge watching your channel and it's been great. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos dude and please keep making them.
Thanks dude! Got plenty of video ideas that I'm ready to get going with. Been a bit slow on videos for the past year or so but I'll keep making them whenever time allows!
29:17 that is such a wtf turning point of these scooby doo games you’ve shown before that I’ve bursted out laughing so much
New here and I thought this was amazing, thank you
Thanks!
How has this dude only got 200 subs... These videos are really well made and professional....
Thanks dude! Thankfully I very much enjoy making all these videos, regardless of how well they do.
Remember it's all a matter of opinion! .... personally I love scooby doo : first fright. Its cartoonish its colorful. It's got good levels. The fighting is so much fun, and it's everything I want ...., platform and beat em up. Scooby doo : First fright is one of my favorite video games and I play it all the time and I always will. No matter the age ...ps co-op is fun as hell.
Co-op is something I'll have to try!
Yeah man true
First frights isn't perfect and could have been done a lot better like he said but I played it as a kid and i have good memories from it
One of the reasons why i like it
I remember enjoying Cyber Chase a long time ago, but holy damn it has not aged well
Saying something "has not aged well" is detracting and superficial way of pointing out its age, a factor which should not be considered an imperfection. And it certainly shouldn't take away from your enjoyment of something from bygone era.
I'm playing it today and its alot of fun it's just crash bandicoot with scooby doo characters it's pretty easy but 100%ing a level is hard because to get all the scooby snacks you need to make sure the multiplier doesnt go away when you see a line of scooby snacks because it makes it impossible to 100% the level at that point
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 Agreed. Vinyl hasn't "aged well" yet people are buying more vinyl than they are CDs. Hell, even cassettes are coming back, too. You're right, "not aged well" is a dead-end phrasing which implies meaning but actually has none. It's empty linguistic calories.
I hated the game. It was too hard. Funny seeing him say it was too easy. I was a kid [>
Cyber Chase was a platformer. It has age as good as any other platform of its time. Unless you want to compare platforming games then and the ridiculous standards of today.
Hey man just found your channel trough this video, amazing stuff you got going on here. Really enjoying the way you format and present this video its a great time watching! Wanted to leave you a comment to let you know you made something i really enjoy watching and to keep it up with the great vids!
Thanks!
Scooby-Doo night of 100 frights was my first ever PS2 game I got with my console for Christmas, I didn't have a memory card at the time so I had to replay the first part of the game over and over again until I finally got my hands on a memory card for my birthday, so many fond memories of the game, finding cheat codes and cool events if you set your PS2 clock to certain dates
Great game to start off with!
Amazing video. Thanks 💕
Thanks!
Great video and you saved me a lot of headache. Trying to figure out which of these I wanted to play. Night of 1000 Friday looks like the game I want. Thank you very much. Keep up the great content.
Thanks! Night of 100 Frights is definitely the way to go!
I loved playing the spooky swamp, by far the best memory I have on the ps2. Even after switching to Xbox, I still bring out the old ps2 sometimes.
Dude this is really well edited and structured, I just saw you only had 200 subscribers, you deserve way more
Thank you!
the memories you unlocked with the night of 100 frights .. dk why i was recommended this video but loved it 🤣
I know you were focusing on Playststion games in this video, but for me the game that best exemplifies Scooby Doo as a series is the Sega Genesis game. Tons of clue finding and mystery solving in that one, was glad to see you included a screen shot of it in the intro!
Definitely think it's going to be worth visiting the other Scooby games outside of PlayStation!
Man, this video brings back memories. Scooby Doo Unmasked was by far one of my favourite games on the PS2. Scooby Doo and the Spooky Swamp on the Wii was also really fun. But my personal preference is Unmasked. I'd love to see these old Scooby Doo games ported to modern consoles much like other THQ games from the PS2 era. Replaying Unmasked on the Nintendo Switch would be a dream come true.
Whether it's remakes, remasters, or something completely new, it's about time we saw some more Scooby-Doo games!
Subbed nice video 😀🙂
Thank you for keeping these hidden gems alive :D
Honestly, a Resident Evil-type take on a Scooby-Doo game sounds great!
We can dream!
Nintendo 64 creepers capers and it is a nightmare lmao. Fond memories
@@trippndix9767 I need to give that one a go!
Glad you reviewed the Scooby games, still a fan after all these years!
Same dude
Thank you for making this. Me and my brother played Unmasked dozens of times on GameCube but never had a save card so we'd try to get as far as possible each time.
We lost that game from 2 movings and many times organizing the house. It's been like a decade but I occasionally have a nice memory of trading the controller back and forth with my brother.
I never knew the name and could never remember. It was short and not that memorable compared to 100 frights so finding info about the game was weirdly hard.
Probably gonna buy a copy off ebay and play through it this year
Grab a copy and relive the memories!
Nice video !!!!
Thanks!
Nice determination with all these games! That’s a lot of play
scooby doo first frights has the best intro by far.....straight bop
After the comment about how they wanted to avoid a full Resident Evil approach, I couldn't stop thinking about how they absolutely went that way with the "Zombie Island" movie lol
Great reviews btw! I only played Cyber Chase & 100 Frights but now I'm tempted to give the rest a try.
They're all worth giving a go!
Also they really missed an opportunity by not making a Zombie Island game.
@@ProjectPlayGamingScooby-Doo on zombie island is one of my favorite movies and I agree with you. It would of been a great idea to make a zombie island video game they really did miss a big opportunity with that.

Thanks!
The cyber chase Scooby Doo movie was one of my FAVOURITE Scooby Doo animated movies 😁
Also the Legend of Zorro one with the Hex girls was also lit! 🙌
The Scooby movies are fun! I wish we got more games based on them.
I loved first frights and still do, adore playing it with my siblings it's so fun and had funny and cool moments plus the soundtrack and having to pick the culprit at the end was nice
Definitely give mystery mayhem more of a chance. Ignoring the Luigi’s Mansion rip off and somewhat clunky controls(honestly both were never a bother for me), its still a nice touch of classic-modern scooby doo with great personality and great gameplay. Night of 100 frights and mystery mayhem are my favorites.
Night of 100 frights slapped so hard, I would love a remaster of this.
The perfect Scooby game to remaster!
@@ProjectPlayGaming Night of 100 Frights is the scooby-Doo game that Battle for Bikini Bottom is for SpongeBob.
Props to shaggy for coming in to do the review
Cyber Chase was the only Scooby-Doo game I played on a Playstation console, and Idk if I ever finished it (I remember playing the final boss level), but I never got to play the others. Classic Creep Capers for GBC is probably the one game in the franchise that has actual mystery solving gameplay as it requires you to go around and gather clues and try and solve the mystery. Funnily enough, when I got that game, I got it under the assumption that it was Cyber Chase for GBC, because that’s what the box said! (Call it a bootleg, bcs there never was a Cyber Chase game for GBC. However, the actual game I played was fine, I managed to finish it, but I never replayed it).
If you throw out nostalgia, first frights is best one. The level design is crazy in that game
Still love night of 100 frights, played it so much as a kid, also I remember playing who's watching who on the DS
I like how back in the day most cutscenes were in game. Makes it feel more like a whole product instead of separate pieces of a whole game.
I feel like if they put the right amount of effort into a modern Scooby-Doo game, we could have the whole game and cutscenes looking identical to the cartoon - similar to what the recent South Park games did.
@@ProjectPlayGaming we can only hope man. That would be awesome though. Hopefully they don't make the game based on the new Velma TV show 😂
@@ProjectPlayGaming I think it's a lot easier for South Park though since the show's already made in 3D. They most likely already had a lot of the assets and didn't have to change any of the animations to fit into the gameplay. Guilty Gear might be a better example.
@@DantesGrill Very good point!
I loved night of 100 frights as a kid. Really, still to this day I think it's great. I still replay it probably every other year!
100%!
Another quality video mate. It's also good to see your content getting the viewership it deserves. Don't get disheartened: if you're genuinely enjoying making these vids, keep it up. I'll certainly remember your channel from now on.
Have you considered doing a Simpsons video in this style? That'd be fun with plenty of material for you to work with, both on and off the PlayStation.
Thanks! I have considered Simpsons videos, loads of content there and a huge range of different games over the years. Only downside is I'd have to subject myself to The Simpsons Wrestling again...
@@ProjectPlayGaming Ha ha. Just remember, it's all for the cause. And that's nothing anyway: just wait until you try some of the 8 and 16-bit Simpsons games. They'll give you more than a cow, man.
@@xoChrisiskingox I remember having a rough time with a couple of the Game Boy games back in the day! Definitely tempting me to start though...
I know the video is old but man this was a good video.
Thanks!
Mystery mayhem was my personal favorite. Granted, I played it before I even knew what Luigi’s mansion was, but Indidnt care. The movie set in particular was a whole lot of fun, and the Bayou level was pretty good too
Nice job with this video, I feel like Night of 100 Frights probably had the most quality over quantity put into it, especially over unmasked
It's easily the game that feels like most like it was made by actual fans of Scooby-Doo.
You saying that they should’ve made Lego Scooby Doo is actually a wish come true in which you can play Lego Scooby in Lego Dimension. So glad Lego gave us that.
Scooby doo first frights was something I absolutely loved as a kid
I wish I played more of these when I was a kid to be honest! Might have gotten into them a bit more.
I grew up playing Mystery Mayhem on the original xbox and I remember it fairly well and had a lot of fond memories with it. Sad to see it didn't age that well
I Imagine it's still fun if you played it growing up!
Love the video and these games, Did you finish a proper chapter in unmasked though? You get to piece the clues together at the end and solve the mystery, literally what you wanted. I will admit that game was my childhood though.
I did, but it didn’t really have the kind of depth I was looking for though. To be fair, my perfect Scooby Doo game would probably be a little complicated for something that would be aimed at kids!
yeah I'm nostalgia goggled up the ass about it, no subsequent game rlly gained any more quality than unmasked had@@ProjectPlayGaming
Hopefully you watched cyber chase by now, one of the classics up there with zombie island, aliens, witchs
I just found this in my reccomended, and am loving watching Dollar Store Orlando Bloom show me my childhood ❤
I'm a $5 Orlando Bloom at the very least
I've realy liked the firts frights, spooky swamp and the unmasked one, to me, those are the best
Glad you enjoyed them at least!
There's still people watching these videos. 8/9/23
Also, you need to start asking people to subscribe, apparently it works lmao
i never realized Spooky Swamp was a Lego clone, i mean i wont have known i’ve never played a Lego game before the story had good potential, out of all the other scooby games it is the most one with investigative elements, i remember really enjoying the snow level and taking pictures of the monsters to fill up the compendium thingy
4:34 I just can't get over how ridiculously angled Daphne's arms are. None of the other characters are like that either, it's just her. It looks horrendous.
I've owned the Gamecube version of Night of 100 Frights since it came out. Top notch Scooby-Doo game and a hidden gem, even if the gameplay doesn't have all the elements of the show.
You have to play Scooby-Doo Mystery for the SNES. It has all of the elements of the show and is exactly what you were looking for with these games. I'd argue that it's quite possibly the best Scooby-Doo game ever made, although I've never seen all of those exclusive PC games so maybe some of those are equal or better. The Sega Genesis Scooby-Doo Mystery (same title but entirely different game) is also very good. I'd love to see you do a part 2 covering those two games specifically, and perhaps all those Gameboy titles too (although none of those are very good unfortunately.)
I'm definitely tempted to do a part 2 covering all the other Scooby games out there!
@@ProjectPlayGaming I hope you do it soon, because I can't wait to hear your reaction to that SNES game. I just know you're going to love what they did with that one.
scooby is so old my grandpa knew it from his teenage years
I grew up with whos watching Who on the DS! I lost my copy at some point, but now with emulation I have finally beat it
Should do one on spongebob games, but it's a great video :D
SpongeBob games will be a fun one!
Scooby do unmasked and sly cooper 2 were the first ever games I remember playing. Watching this makes me nostalgic and makes me want to grab a ps2
Well worth grabbing a PS2 these days, loads of great games for a decent price.
Unmasked, Mystery Mayhem, and 100 nights of frights were my childhood. Never played the others shown in the video but absolutely love the ones I mentioned.
I actually played all of these games up into scooby doo unmasked. Honestly I enjoyed each one of them but if I had to pick the best then night of 100 frights is it. Mystery mayhem is a close second for me though. I also remember playing a SD game on the N64 can't remember the name of it but that was a interesting one too
I had unmasked as kid on gamecube, loved it so much. Wish they would remaster that lol
My favorite as a kid was Mystery Mayhem but I probably couldn't play it for 10 minutes now
Cyber Chase was one of the first games that made me rage as a child
Understandable!
Night of 100 frights and Spooky Swamp were just the best game XD
The torus scooby-doo games were my childhood! I honestly love them so much, but to each their own I guess...
My favorite Scooby-Doo game is unmasked have fond memories of that game as a child. It's also the only Scooby-Doo game i ever played.✨
I highly recommend giving Night of 100 Frights a go!
The Cyber Chase was my first PS1 game actually, got it for Christmas in first grade from my grandparents. I remember beating the first boss and not being able to get any further for a long time. That game has a liminal space feel similar to how the end of the movie does when the gang meets their digital counterparts.
I have always wanted to play Night of 100 Frights, I'm gonna have to pick that one up.
Unmasked was one of my favourite DS games as I kid (I still have my childhood copy too)
I loved the cyber chase movie but never heard of the game, but might of 100 frights I definitely remember what a game
The ps1 game is one of my favorites from growing up. Ps2 Era it was definitely unmasked for my favorite scooby doo game.
Glad I got to play these in my childhood
Probably the best time to experience these l!
I agree with everyone else Night of 100 Frights was a very well made scooby doo game. it's obviosuly intended not just for kids but scooby- doo lovers.
The 2009 & 2010 Scooby games reminds me of Crash of The Titans & Crash Mind Over Mutant
They do have a very similar thing going on!
Mystery Mayhem is so unbelievably underrated. I had a blast playing that as a kid.
The background sound at 3:11-3:14 was also used for the cyber ninjas of the Mortal Kombat games
Good ears! I always enjoy recognising sound effects from other games.
This was amazing good old days 😏🤝
night of the 100 frights was my childhood game
A good game to have!
Scooby doo night of 100 frights even recreates the original intro. I can't say I've ever played a scooby doo game on playstation I didn't have at least some fun with. I can't even call any of them bad.
All things considered, Scooby-Doo has had a pretty decent video game run. Even the worst Scooby games are better than some entire franchises.
Oh man, Night of a Hundred Frights was the first game I got with my GameCube, I loved it sooo much and actually started getting into classic Scooby-Doo Where Are You? Because of it, also the game has these Monster tokens you can find as a bonus and see them in a gallery, which for the Green Ghost it incorrectly has its first appearance as “a Bicycle Built for Boo!” Instead of “A Night of Fright is no delight.”
I didn’t know about that mistake! Interesting
Good reviews, yeah Night of 100 Frights is by far the best. You did though miss a huge part of collecting monster tokens though.
Cyber-chase was my first video game ever. Has a special place in my heart. But can't dispute your criticism about the phone call every 5 seconds during the first few levels of the game.
Honestly, for a first game it’s not a bad start!
You missed classic capers, it was also for the ps1 :3. Enjoyed the video though my man!
Did that see a release? I was under the impression the PS1 version got cancelled!
@@ProjectPlayGaming I've seen videos of it being played apprently on the ps1 emulator if i'm not mistaken.
@@InfernalDarkOne I'll have to look into that, considering the N64/PC versions came out I'd assume the PS1 version must have been near complete.
@@ProjectPlayGaming Hey no worries man, loved this video ya put off and totatlly agree the 10 frights gave the best scooby vibe. Mystery Mayhem was a very close top for me though, if it had a more hub sorta world like 100 frights I think it would have been better off. Anyway keep up the awesome work.
Scooby Doo N100F is just pure nostalgia.. I loved speedrunning it too!
I Still get tempted to go back and play it sometimes.
@@ProjectPlayGaming Agreed! If you're down to have a casual playthrough sometime or want to learn few cool tricks I'd be more than happy to help!
I love how everytime I see a video on a game I been wanting since I was a kid. I end up grabbing it the next time I pop into the game store. Title for title. Console for console. Life been hitting different 😂💯
Iplayed Mystery Mayhem on my PS2 in one of those demo disks. It was fun.
Man, I miss demo disks!
I used to watch where are you episodes on vhs..at one point it was all I’d watch lol..for movies had the the witches, and the phantom virus😢 man to be a kid watching those again
The movies were great!
Scooby Doo mystery mayhem it's my favorite
Scooby Doo: Who’s Watching Who? For the PSP stuck to my mind. I remember it being my favorite game for a long time when I still had the PSP, and it still is one of my staple games whenever I play the emulator. I remember the chasing mini game there frightening me a lot when I was a kid, as well as the soundtrack giving me the spooky vibes but not so much to the point that it scared me off. It’s still perfect to me, but honestly I only really owned a PSP and PS4 so the one for PSP is basically my only choice here haha.
They should release like a remaster/remake trilogy of Night, Unmasked, and Mystery Mayhem.
Ps. I recommend playing the games in this order for maximum enjoyment: Mystery Mayhem, Unmasked, and Finally 100 Frights.
Would love to see a remaster collection!
What can I say... I came for Scooby "Cyber Chase" game, but I ended up watchin' the whole review!!
Very well done, keep the torch burnin'!
Subscriber #90!!
Have a nice day, greetings from Colombia!
Thanks! There's a whole world of Scooby-Doo games to enjoy!
Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Night of 100 Frights definitely felt the most fanservice heavy. I remember as a kid playing it and getting excited when I ran into Don Knotts lol
With the long history of Scooby-Doo, a bit of fanservice goes a long way
play the SNES one, that one was literally like the cartoons. you had to solve the mystery, collect items to make the trap, set the trap up and go out and grab the baddy to "lure" into the trap.
very faithful to the cartoons.
There’s a ton of Scooby games I need to check out in the future
Me and my brothers played 3 out of these 7 games and we had a total blast playing them the cool thing about the 2009 game is that you can play as some of the villains which had they're very on special abilities and weapons my personal favorite was the little toy solider with the rocket launcher
Bro! Therez no better experience than the last two Scooby Doo games!
I beg to differ, Night of 100 Frights is where to go!
