Turns out you CAN get unlimited continues which makes this one of the easiest games to platinum out there, especially as a shoot 'em up... ~25% platinum rate, guess I should do my research next time!
Well damn, I didn't knot this had a physical release. Are there any other digital only games that did get physical releases. I tried to do my own research, but it's hard to find the information on if a digital game got a physical release...
There are a few lists out there of physical releases, but I'm yet to find one that includes everything (all regions primarily). There are quite a few games that only seemed to find physical releases in certain regions. Kick-Ass 2 is one, seems to have only got a physical release in a select few countries in Europe. A few India-only releases out there too, like Ra.One.

If you like these type of games you should definitely give the metal slug franchise a try it's a great gaming series
I do need to play more Metal Slug! I've briefly tried a couple of the games but never fully gotten into them.
