I live in Covington and am from NKY. I am here to say that many of us do just consider NKY as an extension of Cincinnati lol. Same German history and architecture! Mainstrasse is awesome! But just be careful if you’re out at night. Covington has its rough spots. Mainstrasse is pretty safe for the most part, except for the occasional drunk idiots fighting. There was a shooting a few days ago at Mainstrasse but not sure how that ended!

Only transplants like transplants. We natives do not like all the "growth." The gentrification and congestion are not supported by the infrastructure. Plus, the rising cost of living is not on par with what the people who are actually FROM here find sustainable. The people who built this city are being priced out and marginalized. But I guess this is no more disgusting than what's happening all over this "great" nation of ours. Thanks for visiting and leaving. We love TOURISTS!
