Hi my name is Wally ,
I'm from Melbourne, Australia & welcome to my woodworking channel .
I have a full time job in manufacturing & in my spare time I enjoy making projects; some small, some big.
Although my channel is mostly about woodworking , I also have a passion for landscape gardening , occasionally I may do a review/unboxing of related equipment ie... (woodworking tools)...( landscape/ gardening tools / sheds ...etc ).
I've been using both hand/power tools for over 35 years , I'm not a professional woodworker , but rather an enthusiast , with a real passion to learn/share my ideas & inspire others.
Thanks for watching my videos & subscribing .
Have a great day !

Build the perfect Adirondack chair .
In this video I built a classic Adirondack Chair !
I used a combination of mostly Oregon timber - F17 Hardwood (seat slats)... & Cypress Pine (back slats)...
Building this iconic chair was a lot of work ! - but the finished result was well worth it ! - what do you think ?

In this video I'll show you how to build a Folding Step Stool that is multifunctional , easy to store . When unfurled it can be used as a three -tier ladder , great for those hard to reach places in the kitchen . DIY Whiskey Gift Box.
มุมมอง 2.6K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this project I challenged myself to create something out of the ordinary... ''a gift box'' (Whiskey/Wine)...not just any gift box , but one with flair , & pleasing to the eye. The end result were a combination of light & dark coloured timbers (offcuts) laminated together to create a chess board/checkers theme. I must confess I used a lot of glue in the laminating process , but the end result...

How to make a bread box - with tambour roll top lid .

Using Hardwood off cuts , I thought they would be an excellent choice to make a breadbox,,, not just any breadbox , but one with a tambour roll top lid & drawer on top. After sketching several designs with various measurements I finally came up with one I liked. The Core of the build was Mortise & Tenon joints. The most critical component was the inside (2) side panels where the runner tracks f...

I built a portable flip/top bench cart , it's fitted with a thicknesser & disc/belt sander with extra storage in the bottom drawer compartment. 99% of material used was 3/4 inch marine grade plyboard & held together with pocket hole screws , My first time using pocket hole jig/screws , I must admit I was very sceptical at first , but was pleasantly surprised with this product .

Great job Wal you really are a master of woodwork ... be careful mate
Thanks mate !! ..... well maybe not a Master , rather someone who has a red hot go !
Ficou formidável. Muito lindo mesmo. Vc tem as medidas ? Parabéns.
For your glueups try using a silicon kitchen spatula. It is a versatile spreader and nothing sticks to it so cleanups take moments.
Thanks for the Tip ! I'll keep that in mind next glue up ! '' cheers ''
This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you so much !!!
You're very welcome , I'm glad you like it !!!
Que projeto mais lindo vou tentar fazer um desse vc poderia passar as dimensão apenas da madeiras que utilizou para a porta deslizantes vi que fez 12 pequenas madeiras poderia passar a dimensao de apenas uma obrigado!

Hi Wally. Great video and project. The cup/wineglass holder is fantastic. Please make a cheese and craker holder for the other armrest. Love the design. James One Handed Maker
Thanks James ... Good idea that ! (cheese-cracker holder)..... although the idea of making an ottoman to compliment the chair did cross my mind ! ....... any new builds coming up on your end ? Regards Wally .
Ottoman would be good! Just finished making a Cahon Drum and hope to have the video out soon. Take care James
Excellent unboxing demo, you went straight to the goods without useless banter that so many woodworking TH-camrs do.
Thanks for watching ! I appreciate your comment 🙏 .
You can buy a loop and hook conversion kit for the disc these days, which allows you to use different sandpapers at will. Surely there's a marketing advantage to supplying them at the POS.
You make a very good (interesting) point - thanks !

Where I come from we call the “bow tie” a “Dutchmen”. The 5 Dutchman was a great decision. They really classed it up nicely by showing the skill of the craftsman! Well done!
Thank you . . . . you taught me something . . . I just watched a video '' split door repair using a dutchman ''
SUPEEER
impeccable craftsmanship. My only thought is the strength that the arms will provide in the inclined position. The rest of the bench could hold a tank. Overall......5 stars.
Thanks Rod , during lockdown I made / sold (4) additional incline benches .... from the feedback to this day they are all 100% functional , I added (2) additional blocks for the rear incline's as seen at the end of the video ...... the thought of adding a metal plate along the wooden arms may be on the cards for future build ... cheers Rod .

gracias por ver mi video, y aún más gracias por suscribirte amigo mío .

I just got my Dewalt planer this past weekend, so now I need a table for it, I’ve been watching videos on the subject for a couple of weeks now, I honestly have to give you credit for the best breakdown video, of step by step action to make this table. Excellent work. Now only to get you to go to IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS, come join the dark side, leave the metric world behind!! ( you do kinda look like Obi-Wan)
Thanks so much ! that video contained well over 3hrs of video footage which took me an entire week to edit down to 23 minutes ! ................. Ahh yes come to the Dark Side did you say - where we have Cookies ! Mmmm who doesn't love Cookies !
Since you're screwing the runners on anyway - use double-sided tape instead of glue. Much quicker and gives the possibility of changing the runners if needed...
Great suggestion !
I just made one for my saw. Love this sled, game changer for me in my shop. Thanks
Yup ! the sled has replaced my drop saw , Cheers mate...
I wish mine was so fit as yours. I bought exactly the same one and it has a lot of small issues (I was expecting much more from such a company)
I'm sorry to hear that my friend ..... may I ask what issues are causing you grief ?
@@wallytrinc9885 yeah sure, first the yellow cover for the saw was crooked and floppy, the fence is not in 90 degrees with the table (this is not possible to adjust) the table top is not dead flat and when I fix the blade to be 90 degrees on the left side it is not 90 on the square on the right side… I’m a bit disappointed coz its not a cheap saw and I was expecting it to be solid. Anyway enjoy yours and always be careful 🙂
@@leonardokalinci9894 There are many issues you have found ! if you still have your purchase receipt is it still possible for exchange/refund ? .... Regards Wally
@@wallytrinc9885 I bought it 3 years ago and it has been sent it many time to be repaired but every time I discovered new flaw. I think I just got unlucky with mine( sometimes I wish I bought a different company) Best regards 👍🏼
İncredible
Thank you🙏
Hahaha he dont like it lol
I think it looks great, I love how you put your clamps on the cart so they are right there when you need them
Glad you like them! cheers!......I was away (holiday) for a while , limited internet...
Hi mate how’s it held up? I’m thinking of buying one for commercial use.
Great for home garage use , the drawers are awesome and smooth ! , would recommend you have it beside a wall to stop slight movement , they're more expensive now , I'm happy with mine , cheers mate .
Looks great unfortunately if it's in the Caribbean. Inside the dog house will get wet when it rains.
Just recently came across your video and really liked it. I am planing on building a couple chess boards for two of my grandsons and would like to know if you have any plans available for your chess board design.
G'day Mr Lewis , unfortunately I don't have (plans) ...I'm very hands on with my projects & tend to wing it as I go along....I get asked this (plans) quite a bit , so maybe I need to start doing so . Regards Wally
Thats an amazing masterpiece Sir. Sir , do you have blueprint and dimensions on how to build one?
Thanks. so much Madam Dorothy , unfortunately I don't. , several of my projects have had numerous requests. ie ( blueprints-plans etc )..... I'm confident in making projects, ( But) like a fish out of water creating blueprints/plans.... I need to make an effort/learn how !!
Thanks for your reply Sir. I understand you
Do u sell the plans and if so how much
I don't have plans per say but it's something I'm looking at in the future !
