5:35 The amount of pride the french feel for their culture is good and deserved. Not that it's a surprise that austrians (and germans, for that matter) distance themselves from that feeling, but it's a damn shame, since they also have lots to be proud of. Thinking that the "horrible things" your people has done are specially worse and more terrible than the horrible things that every other people and nation has also done is just the other face of the same narcissistic coin. I get that you don't want to be caught feeling better than anyone, but you're also not worse or less deserving of national pride.

I paid close attention to what was presented, and let me tell you that we agree on some things, for example, regarding introverted character traits and how difficult it is to relate to others in both academic and social environments. Regarding myself, I enrolled in an academy to apply to a national university in my country, and if I didn't mention it, I'm 26 years old. Going back to courses in science and humanities is a bit tedious; basically, I did 6 months, and I know what it feels like not to be with classmates of the same age. However, that doesn't mean I didn't interact; on the contrary, it’s a bit easier. After finishing that, I find it interesting to study in Europe. By the way, I am from South America. I also decided to study literature, and I hope it goes well next year. Best of luck, María, and have an excellent Christmas.

Pere-Lachaise is an amazing place. I spent an entire day in a cold November walking among the tombstones, happy as a clam. The cemetery at Novodevichy Convent in Moscow is another fantastic walk through history. Don't underestimate the allure of the dead.
