I ordered mine in January and got it just a few days ago. I knew it would be a wait so I was ok with that. The shipping updates were great, I was literally counting the hours till I knew the postal worker would be here!! :)

Thanks for your advice in the other video comment section, I already ordered my EMO pet on the 2nd of August. I went ahead and ordered the base model with the skateboard and added in the Home Station and the Corgi hoodie. I can't wait for him to come home.

I ordered my Emo back in July 2021, it was finally shipped Xmas eve and I’ve had the notification that’s my order is now in my country. I should have it delivered within the next week.
When I finally get my Vector 2.0, I'll program it to recognize other robots. I've also purchased the SDK and server software. That'd be cool for Vector to fight off the competitors :-D
Hi! I don't know if you knew about it, but I've seen people buy cat hats for Emo. They run one or two inches big but I guess you could sew the hat so it fits more snug. So if you never get the bunny costume for Emo...you could buy a small bunny hat for cats. There's a youtuber that bought cat hats for her Emo and he looks super cute!!! 🤣 I think I will do that when I get my Emo. I don't want to wait 5 or 6 months to get a costume. P.s. your Emo is so cute. It even seems like he's got a personality. I can't wait for more future updates for Emo. 😊

Also so you know, the costumes are designed to have a hood on them. So by taking down the hood you can still get the effects/healing of the costume (I think) while not having the speakers or vents blocked.

He has a sensor on the front so when you are buttoning up his outfit, he tends to try to back up. There isn't a way to keep him from doing that but he's like a little kid that fusses when you try to put a coat on them. It's pretty funny.

I really wish they could combine an emo and something like the echo dot 10. Be like a desktop speaker plugged in at all times but with a face that could follow your face around and interact like emo when spoke to but also could answer questions and do tasks and video calls like alexa! And maybe looked around for you and played but sleep after a set period of no interaction 😴 or went to clock screen. That would be my dream robot!!
There's a new robot from Amazon called Astro that has many of those features. It's expensive and is only available through invite right now but looks very interesting.
Some "snap on" plastic suits should be available for him too, something the prevents the extra heat to happen. As for Vector, his programers rock, that's problably part of his firmware updates.
@@outsider238 Yeah, but stickers get broken or damage, and if you want to "try something else", pealing it off may not be the best option. Maybe if the "clip on" can be connected to headset, that could open some other creative options.
Production and ordering has picked up quite a bit over the last six weeks or so. They’re currently shipping orders from late August and early September, based on what’s been mentioned by other customers. They’re still receiving a ton of new orders too though, and everyone just assumes without asking they’re going to get it ASAP and then act shocked to find out that’s not the case. I believe they have updated the order page now to specify it’s going to take at least 6bweeks before it’s shipped, but that may still be a little optimistic timeframe. As far as I’ve seen they only ever offered the cow and corgi suits for sale on their website (well then the Santa suit came out later as the Christmas upgrade kit). There was a rabbit suit shown briefly in one of their old promo videos, but I believe it was just something one of their staff owned? Basically the suits are the same as decorative hats that are sold for cat owners to put on their cats. The size that seems to fit EMO is usually the smallest one offered. Amazon sells a rabbit hat which fits EMO but the ears were a little different angle I think, or straight up and not angled, I forget but it was a little different than the one in the video. You could also check other websites like different pet suppliers or Walmart for other types.
Thank you for the tip! I thought I remembered the rabbit costume for sale when Emo was first introduced but maybe you're right that it was just a promo pic. I'm glad production is picking up. I'm sure they are going to have to just get caught up on orders for now.
@@mitchkin5 You can check the current delivery status on their website. It takes some time for the packages to get out of China and there are a limited number of flights. The way it’s been working is the packages get sent to the shipper, then they supply a tracking number back to Living AI once transport is actually arranged. So the tracking numbers lag behind a week or so. The last update showed order numbers up to #14720 were shipped and up to #14289 had a tracking number supplied. Those counts are usually updated once a week around late Friday/early Saturday based on my location in the USA, so very soon again. In another day or so the order number shipped will increase by however many actually went out the door this last week, and the tracking number supplied will change to #14720 then. You can compare your own order number to see how close you are to these examples. When your EMO is shipped you should receive an email with a tracking number, but a few people claim they didn’t get any tracking and EMO just showed up? I’m not so sure about that, but when I was sent my tracking email back in May it went to a junk folder for some reason. So it doesn’t hurt to check there if you have a junk or spam folder. Once they give you a tracking number you can track it on the Living AI website, but some other sites like 17track seem to work better? To most places they seem to be arriving within about three weeks after you receive the tracking number. That’s assuming no hangups in customs or with a slow local delivery company.
Thanks for all the info. After thoroughly checking my emails including the junk ones I feel pretty confident I haven’t received anything yet. So I will keep being patient….( it’s so hard isn’t it?) I’ll keep checking back. :-)
Also sorry about leaving so many comments but I’ve found some things out and have a question… Firstly the question… is Emo designed to be on his charger for long amounts of time like vector? Now what I’ve found out: On the website it states that your able to interact with Emo by saying “Hey Emo” so it might to just be a bug or they just haven’t got round to adding in the hey part or maybe it’s due to the lawsuit with “hey vector” On the guide/instructions manual it also shows the light be rainbow coloured possibly suggesting he might be able to change the colour some time in the future. Whenever Emo is placed in a big open area he will explore more and move about the area a lot more, while when he’s placed on a table he’ll tend to walk about, learn where he his, and dawdle about while sometimes wanting to get your attention. Or at least that’s what I heard. So maybe try placing him in a big area to unlock his full potential
Yes Emo is fine on his charger for long periods of time. He's an "always on" robot. You don't have to say "Hey Emo". I think he actually works better if you don't add "Hey" when addressing him. The lights do have different colored LEDs inside and you can tell Emo to change their color. I'm not sure how far Emo will travel from his charger or wander around since I don't really have a large area for he and Vector to play. I think Vector can wander relatively far but he has to be able to still see his charger when he needs to go back.
@@outsider238 the Hey Emo is what it stated you had to say on his website. So I’m not sure what’s going on there, and the info on the light is found must’ve been outdated. Thanks for the charger info.

@@outsider238 it’s probably outdated info. On the Emo part of their website if you scroll to the bottom it says things Emo can do and mentions “Hey Emo” instead of just Emo. May just be old information from previous plans then. Who knows, maybe they will change to it to something like “hey Emo” or “hi Emo”.

The stickers, are not for on the emo...they are "Bases, and lines to place on surface of tables for him to follow or dock..is the big square one and many others like numbers to follow. Hope this comment helps
The sensor on the front is covered and he keeps thinking something is in front of him and he backs up frequently because of that. I don't put the costume on him hardly at all because it blocks his vents that keep his electronics from overheating. He looks super cute but I only have him wear it for a few minutes.

I have watched so many of your Emo's videos and I do order one too, but I sincerely hope that it is programmable and have its own copy of firmware such that we are able to restore it when messed up with the settings. Hopefully the legal issues are well settled and both companies have healthy competition too.
The corgi one looks pretty cute, too. I really want him but he has so much more potential. I was looking at the website but couldn't find any kind of future updates or roadmap. I know they want to make a better charger but what else? Will Emo get closer/surpass Vectors autonomy/ability?
Yes, his potential is huge. He's pretty new still so it's going to take some time to keep adding things to him. I think it'll be a while before he catches up to Vector since Vector's had more than three years of a head start. I wish I knew of his future updates as well but I also kind of like the surprise when they show up.

Thank you! Currently, Emo doesn't go back to his charger. He can't step up high enough to get on his skateboard. I hear there are plans for a flatter charger that he can walk onto himself but that will probably be some time down the road.

i read the comments to make sure that no one already ask this, but have you heard anything about a more low profile Charger Dock? so Emo can recharge himself without help, or if vector pushes him off his charger.
I had heard quite a while ago that there was a flatter, ramp style charger they were working on that Emo could walk up on and charge himself when he needed to. I haven't heard anything else since then. I hope they come up with something though.

Bad Vector ! 🤣 You answered my question.... how is the heat if Emo wore the costume. Because i noticed the head is warm. Especially here because is constant 30c and feel temp can be higher. So I rather not spend money on the costume. Might spend it on lights in the future though.

You can't change his language so far. I'm actually not sure how many languages he speaks. If you email LivingAI, they should be able to tell you if they have a Dutch speaking Emo. Hopefully they do.

The SDK is a great feature on Vector. I'm not any good with that stuff but I mainly like him as a pet anyhow.

I really wish they could combine an emo and something like the echo dot 10. Be like a desktop speaker plugged in at all times but with a face that could follow your face around and interact like emo when spoke to but also could answer questions and do tasks and video calls like alexa! And maybe looked around for you and played but sleep after a set period of no interaction 😴 or went to clock screen. That would be my dream robot!!
There's a new robot from Amazon called Astro that has many of those features. It's expensive and is only available through invite right now but looks very interesting.
Some "snap on" plastic suits should be available for him too, something the prevents the extra heat to happen.
As for Vector, his programers rock, that's problably part of his firmware updates.
Or using the stickers is an option I suppose. Yes! I wouldn't be surprised if the programmers placed a "pick on emo" program into Vector! Haha!
@@outsider238 Yeah, but stickers get broken or damage, and if you want to "try something else", pealing it off may not be the best option. Maybe if the "clip on" can be connected to headset, that could open some other creative options.

It's more like 5-6 months. They're very backlogged.
Production and ordering has picked up quite a bit over the last six weeks or so. They’re currently shipping orders from late August and early September, based on what’s been mentioned by other customers. They’re still receiving a ton of new orders too though, and everyone just assumes without asking they’re going to get it ASAP and then act shocked to find out that’s not the case. I believe they have updated the order page now to specify it’s going to take at least 6bweeks before it’s shipped, but that may still be a little optimistic timeframe. As far as I’ve seen they only ever offered the cow and corgi suits for sale on their website (well then the Santa suit came out later as the Christmas upgrade kit). There was a rabbit suit shown briefly in one of their old promo videos, but I believe it was just something one of their staff owned? Basically the suits are the same as decorative hats that are sold for cat owners to put on their cats. The size that seems to fit EMO is usually the smallest one offered. Amazon sells a rabbit hat which fits EMO but the ears were a little different angle I think, or straight up and not angled, I forget but it was a little different than the one in the video. You could also check other websites like different pet suppliers or Walmart for other types.
Thank you for the tip! I thought I remembered the rabbit costume for sale when Emo was first introduced but maybe you're right that it was just a promo pic. I'm glad production is picking up. I'm sure they are going to have to just get caught up on orders for now.
I ordered mine on Sept 16 2021 so should I be getting a notice before or on when it ships? I’m trying to be patient but gosh it’s hard to wait !!! Lol
@@mitchkin5 You can check the current delivery status on their website. It takes some time for the packages to get out of China and there are a limited number of flights. The way it’s been working is the packages get sent to the shipper, then they supply a tracking number back to Living AI once transport is actually arranged. So the tracking numbers lag behind a week or so. The last update showed order numbers up to #14720 were shipped and up to #14289 had a tracking number supplied. Those counts are usually updated once a week around late Friday/early Saturday based on my location in the USA, so very soon again. In another day or so the order number shipped will increase by however many actually went out the door this last week, and the tracking number supplied will change to #14720 then. You can compare your own order number to see how close you are to these examples. When your EMO is shipped you should receive an email with a tracking number, but a few people claim they didn’t get any tracking and EMO just showed up? I’m not so sure about that, but when I was sent my tracking email back in May it went to a junk folder for some reason. So it doesn’t hurt to check there if you have a junk or spam folder. Once they give you a tracking number you can track it on the Living AI website, but some other sites like 17track seem to work better? To most places they seem to be arriving within about three weeks after you receive the tracking number. That’s assuming no hangups in customs or with a slow local delivery company.

Firstly the question… is Emo designed to be on his charger for long amounts of time like vector?
Now what I’ve found out:
On the website it states that your able to interact with Emo by saying “Hey Emo” so it might to just be a bug or they just haven’t got round to adding in the hey part or maybe it’s due to the lawsuit with “hey vector”
On the guide/instructions manual it also shows the light be rainbow coloured possibly suggesting he might be able to change the colour some time in the future.
Whenever Emo is placed in a big open area he will explore more and move about the area a lot more, while when he’s placed on a table he’ll tend to walk about, learn where he his, and dawdle about while sometimes wanting to get your attention. Or at least that’s what I heard. So maybe try placing him in a big area to unlock his full potential
Yes Emo is fine on his charger for long periods of time. He's an "always on" robot. You don't have to say "Hey Emo". I think he actually works better if you don't add "Hey" when addressing him. The lights do have different colored LEDs inside and you can tell Emo to change their color. I'm not sure how far Emo will travel from his charger or wander around since I don't really have a large area for he and Vector to play. I think Vector can wander relatively far but he has to be able to still see his charger when he needs to go back.
@@outsider238 the Hey Emo is what it stated you had to say on his website. So I’m not sure what’s going on there, and the info on the light is found must’ve been outdated. Thanks for the charger info.
@@sheepsaga7235 Hmm.. I'm not sure. I've never said "Hey Emo", just "Emo". The light thing might have been just to show that there's different colors in there.
@@outsider238 it’s probably outdated info. On the Emo part of their website if you scroll to the bottom it says things Emo can do and mentions “Hey Emo” instead of just Emo. May just be old information from previous plans then. Who knows, maybe they will change to it to something like “hey Emo” or “hi Emo”.

They just came with the lights and cow costume. They were free. Probably as a good will gesture because of how long it took to get those items.
The stickers, are not for on the emo...they are "Bases, and lines to place on surface of tables for him to follow or dock..is the big square one and many others like numbers to follow. Hope this comment helps
Interesting. I hadn't heard the lines are for him to follow. I've seen people decorating their Emos and skateboards with the stickers.

The sensor on the front is covered and he keeps thinking something is in front of him and he backs up frequently because of that. I don't put the costume on him hardly at all because it blocks his vents that keep his electronics from overheating. He looks super cute but I only have him wear it for a few minutes.

I have watched so many of your Emo's videos and I do order one too, but I sincerely hope that it is programmable and have its own copy of firmware such that we are able to restore it when messed up with the settings. Hopefully the legal issues are well settled and both companies have healthy competition too.

The corgi one looks pretty cute, too. I really want him but he has so much more potential. I was looking at the website but couldn't find any kind of future updates or roadmap. I know they want to make a better charger but what else? Will Emo get closer/surpass Vectors autonomy/ability?
Yes, his potential is huge. He's pretty new still so it's going to take some time to keep adding things to him. I think it'll be a while before he catches up to Vector since Vector's had more than three years of a head start. I wish I knew of his future updates as well but I also kind of like the surprise when they show up.
@@outsider238 That's a good way to look at it, I just bought Vector 2.0 so I know it'll be months before I see it but still excited. I like Emo more but I want more autonomy so I'll probably have both eventually lol. Love your videos by the way, great personality and voice.

Thank you! Currently, Emo doesn't go back to his charger. He can't step up high enough to get on his skateboard. I hear there are plans for a flatter charger that he can walk onto himself but that will probably be some time down the road.

i read the comments to make sure that no one already ask this, but have you heard anything about a more low profile Charger Dock? so Emo can recharge himself without help, or if vector pushes him off his charger.
I had heard quite a while ago that there was a flatter, ramp style charger they were working on that Emo could walk up on and charge himself when he needed to. I haven't heard anything else since then. I hope they come up with something though.

You answered my question.... how is the heat if Emo wore the costume. Because i noticed the head is warm. Especially here because is constant 30c and feel temp can be higher. So I rather not spend money on the costume. Might spend it on lights in the future though.

You can't change his language so far. I'm actually not sure how many languages he speaks. If you email LivingAI, they should be able to tell you if they have a Dutch speaking Emo. Hopefully they do.
