This has got to be one of the best live performances I've ever seen. Clyde is the embodiment of passion, opening up his chest for us to see his very soul, whether that's by singing so soulfully that you don't even need the words to understand what seems to be his whole being is conveying, or tearing up the keys with such ferocity and fearlessness that it inspires us to believe. Believe in him, believe in us, because we'll make it through this. We can make it through anything. Have Gracie give the most outstanding supporting vocals to push at the right moments for us to understand this tale of two hearts struggling against the gravity of distance and have the brass, strings and drums fill the space with instrumentation that moves us through feelings of emptiness, then fearing to hope, then daring to hope and finally finding the comfort of our home state of mind. An absolute masterpiece all around. Wow
WTF did I just watch?!? Clyde's solo was absolutely bonkers insane! If you have not seen them live, what is wrong with you? This is one of the most talented bands out there today. Live, they are unchained!
Dear Lawrence, I live in Philadelphia and did not attend this show. I profoundly regret this mistake. Please accept this as my apology until the next time you are in town again
This video is from the Hotel TV tour from a few years ago, not the Concert at the Met on Sept 17th, 2024 that was the kickoff of their Family Business tour. But yeah, they were both great. If they show up anywhere within 150 miles of you, GO. They’re one of the greatest live bands performing today. You won’t regret it.
Now that I know the story behind this song, it makes it that much sweeter. And can we talk about that killer organ solo and perfect horn arrangements? Need a stank face emoji.
I’m stopping the video at :43 in… to acknowledge the SOUL that comes outta this dude. Said it in many comments before… Clyde is Dr John, Joe Cocker, and all 3 Beastie Boys rolled into one hell of a musician. Anyway… back to it… 🤘🤘
Ever since I discovered these guys I have been on a rampage of watching every single video and they still manage to surpass themselves every time. Clyde is an absolute musical beat for arranging all this beautiful mess and all the band are complimenting perfect one another. Thank you for moving me with your trills!
Beautiful, man. Thanks Clyde. I know this song is based on a real life experience. You sang from the gut, dude. We've all lived through a version of this. Thanks for the great performance.
If they do any new back to the future films, Lawrence HAS to be tapped for some original tunes. They have that Huey Lewis charm needed to bring the series from the 80's to the 2020's with style.
Dear Clyde, Marry me. I am into geeky smart dudes, who have great voices. I saw your testimony in front of Congress and fell more in love with you. Please accept this as a marriage proposal from a nice redhead with a degree who uses their cat and a Beck lyric as their identifier
Love watching Gracie watch Clyde during the solo ❤

100% Truth. And some folk dare to say they don’t have soul.
I'm so surprised they don't have global recognition cause soul is a language that transcends all languages.
How can Clyde's voice get ever better and more passionate!? Fantastic performance!

I loved the song and haven't heard the story yet. What is it?
@@Paulogy Check out the Hotel TV documentary series. They talked about it in the most recent episode.

🤘🤘
That keyboard solo was insane
A little Gracie makes everything much better! A LOT of Gracie is freaking FIRE! A lot of Clyde ROCKS!
I appreciate what Gracie brings to most songs. But I can listen to Clyde ALL BY HIMSELF This is my favorite song of theirs.
I love how Clyde and the drummer work together to bend the rhythm.
In concert they do innumerable things that demonstrate how tight they are. I don’t think I’ve seen a tighter, cohesive unit outside of E Street.
@@Merc-zf8zz I absolutely do notice that, too. I'm also a musician, and I can tell how much people rehearse. These folks absolutely rehearse a lot.
This song literally breaks out!! Man.
These kids are so talented!!
Man kudos to whoever mixed this audio. Truly amazing capture of an amazing performance.
The soul of this solo.... You made me melt :)
Clyde absolutely shredding the keys and vocals. What a talent!
That Shirt, man. Constanza forever!
heard this song live at the Gothic Theater in Denver 2022 as my first post pandemic concert. Remains to this day the best song I ever heard live.
Love the Gothic

Can we please have an acoustic ish version of that 🥹
Ray Charles is smiling up there.
That wasn't an organ solo. It was an emotional exorcism.
I'm the Like nº 700, but the fan nº1.

Why did they not play this in Detroit!!!
I f*in love you. I really do.
Um ... bit of a non sequitur, but is that a George Costanza shirt?
It is. This is from the Hotel TV tour, and it was filled with TV references, from apparel to music interludes.
