Gracie is iconic. I feel like we've only got a few more months of being on the "inside" before everyone everywhere is a Lawrence fan. Keep up the fight, y'all!
I was there! It took two days of hell to get there though. Flying from florida to NY my connecting flight in D.C got cancelled after we sat on the plane for 8-9 hours til 11:30pm came around at which point we went back to the gate. After hours of trying (and failing) to recover my bag and being told by every hotel with an opening that itll be $900+ for 1 night, I ended up stranded in downtown D.C in the pouring rain wandering around til i found a hostel at 3am. Got up at 6am, caught a cab back to the airport where i was finally able to get my bag, caught another cab to union station, bought the last ticket to penn station they had, and i ended up getting to manhattan 2 hours before the show. I had just enough time to drop my stuff off and finally take a shower before walking down 7th into the park. Still worth it! Misterwives opened which was a nice surprise. Also yeah we were all soaked by the time they did this song, the rain got bad for a bit
wow! they'll be in my little city if Syracuse next month in a tiny venue. saw them at the same place two years ago. such great people these Lawrence kids. so glad we don't go through what you went through - but i would!
My jaw DROPPED at the sight of the sax in the beginning, extremely beautiful solo. AND an amazing genre shift to bring the whole band back in, major applause
Every moment of that was jaw-droppingly cool. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sumner's sax during the first section; it's such a perfect touch in that arrangement. And that gospel reprise is sooo dope, was bopping my head the whole time
Such amazing talent, I believe they’re let down a bit by one dimensional, overly literal songwriting. Sorry but I’m just tired of “this song is about when you want to just stay in with your crush and do nothing, it’s called Do nothing with you”, “this song is about people being beautiful despite having imperfections like freckles, it’s called Freckles”, “this song is about losing love when you’re 23, it’s called 23”, “this song is about how girls can’t make the first move in this society, it’s called “Make a Move”… etc etc. If Lawrence could push their art and write songs like say, Joanna Newsom they’d be the best band in the world and all their fans could stop being incredulous about how underrated they are and why they’re not bigger… it’s the songwriting.

Everyone should be a Lawrence fan ❤
Saw them last summer playing with MisterWives and have become a fan then.
I just discovered them and wondered where they've been all my life. Surely, destined for greatness. I hope to get to a show before they come huge.
@@jmoney0303Go soon my friend. Fun time watching them.
Literally scrambling to get my ticket now. By November she will be a household name.
I'm not crying, it's just been raining, on my face...
1:50 Shoutout to our boy, Sumner Becker, for soothing us with the alto sax.
That’s the best I’ve ever heard Gracie sing
I gotta say, that sax solo really takes me back to the Billy Joel 80s era.

Beautiful, reminds me of a Scottish song... In fact, it's very apt considering Scotlands rather damp climate 🏴💙❤️
