I know this was a joke but I recently played FFX for the first time all the way through, the amount of people I ended up talking about it was kind of a shock. Coworkers whom I've never talked about videogames with, people who played it 20 years ago and still remember it, people who have never played an RPG besides FFX. It was great. Most of them said the same thing, "That had the stupid soccer game in it right? .... OH RIGHT IT WAS CALLED BLITZBALL!!" I love FFX.
I never beat it because in the lightning area I kept playing blitzball non stop. My teams stats were too good. I released a player to get another but couldn't find another player in that spot so I quit lol. I'm probably the only one that liked it
This is one of the things I love about this series. It's... Popular lol. I am very happy for the amount of people that i get to share FF experiences with!
I first played this game when I was 8 years old because I would sit and watch my Dad play it. Needless to say I didn’t get super far lol. I got stuck fighting the boss during the Mi’ihen operation and BEGGED my Dad to help. He refused, only repeatedly saying “You’re my son. You can beat it”. I was so mad at him that I gave up on it. When he passed away 3 years later and I got the games from his collection, I decided to give it another go. When I got to the credits all I could say was “I finally did it Dad. Because I’m your son” Needless to say I cried during the credits. Playing this game after my Dad died and experiencing the relationship that Titus had with his father…to experience a game where death and memories play such a CRUCIAL role to the story and development of the characters…..this “game” is so much more than a game to me. And it’s so much more than that for anyone who plays it. It is the nexus that brings together the lives and memories of all who play it. Thank you for this video 🙏🏾
Damn dude, I straight up teared up reading that first paragraph. Immediately thought of the high five at the end cinematic. Must have been a powerful moment. Sorry for your loss, man. Hope you're doing well.
@@Ordacleaphobia Thanks so much for the reply bro. It really does mean a lot. You’re so right though and GOD are you bringing back memories man! That High-five, Titus disappearing, the entire ending broke me. But the most powerful moment was after the credits rolled and “The End” popped up. THAT’S when I bawled like I was a baby bro, not gone lie 😭😂
@@kagetaz8534 yeah i first played the game at 12, i think i beat it, coming from ff8 and ff9 final fantasy x was ground breaking. Yeah so many sad scenes, japanese are good at that. At least u have a good memory for ur dad, here is a song u should try out next time u play it, DiZi: Painted Heart (chinese bamboo flute) sets the cinematic scenes that are meant to evoke emotions, this song and a few drinks will definitely have u crying in bittersweet. Have a good one bro🤙🏽🇦🇺
I played through X for the first time a year ago, and even though I'm 28 it was one of the most magical, unforgettable experiences of my life. I didn't grow up with it and yet any time I hear the soundtrack it feels like I'm getting hit with a wave of nostalgia LMAO. I think it really speaks to how much X holds up, even 20 years after release And holy shit man. I've been obsessed with 10 and watched tons of video essays about it, but none of them have hit me the same way yours did. Your writing, editing, and every bit of the presentation makes this my favorite final fantasy content ;w; really can't wait to see what else you're cooking up, keep up the amazing work
I'm 28 too and I played it for the first time 2 years ago! It also made me feel very nostalgic, it reminded me of kingdom hearts with similar sound effects and things like that. So glad I played it :)
@@berger8100 I feel grateful I got to play this game for the first time during 2020. I felt like I had really gone on a long journey with a group of friends :')
Yes, X holds up. I played it in 2002, I played it in 2014, and then again in 2020. Each time I see something new about the story I didn't see before. This is because the story hits different once one experiences life over time.
Sure X-2 is a romp at times and can get silly, but it's an emotionally powerful game. Under the cheese it's wistful and contemplative, and in Chapter 4 beyond it really comes out. Luca's Episode Complete and the It's Better This Way ending brings me to very ugly tears. You can see the world grasp for a new meaning, whether in politics or in love. X-2 has a lot to offer if one is willing to look underneath the cheese.
I've never felt older than I did when you said how old FFX is and how most gamers don't even know about it. These games came out when I was in middle school and between it and FFXII they get a replay and deep discussion with my friends and least once every few years. Crazy to think about where the JRPG genre rests with modern gaming. At one point, it was the best gaming had to offer.
State of the Arc podcast recently did a book review style covering of this game, delving into the philosophy and themes of this game. An hour a week for 14 weeks. Each hour covering one or two chapters. Seeing this after seeing that is like a perfect epilogue. Thank you for this. Also, thank you for clearing up the role of yuyevon for me. I was having trouble understanding why he would sommon both Faith Zanarkand AND Sin. Now it all makes sense.
I played this back in 2001 and a handful of times ever since. I never knew that either. I think the game didn’t do the ‘best’ job explaining it and you had to seek outside material to cover the whole story. I played it again a few weeks ago and finally understood (with some minor research as well)
I have all these version of FFX as well as the Vita version. I just love how bright, colorful, and tropical this world is. You feel like you're on vacation, and I think its linearity lends to that. Life is an open world adventure, vacations are usually linear journeys to a specific destination, often with nice stops along the way. FFX feels more like a roadtrip to me than FFXV ever did. The characters are all bright and positive. The game is not drenched in darkness. Its tone is kind of unique within the series. It looked amazing for its time but it doesn't suffer from an overly realistic presentation that sacrifices art design, like current FF games. We still had non-human party members and as realistic as the graphics were, it still felt kinda anime-ish. I miss that.
@@Deadflower20xx Hmmm yeah agreed. FFX would be my goto offline game to play for life if given only one game to pick. FFXIV is just ridiculously addictive as an MMO. I'm still 5 years of playtime short of my FFXI experience though. 11 years of FFXI and currently about 6 years into FFXIV.
Brooooooo! That concept for X-3 is incredible! The summoning of other cities to explore? Making X-2 not suck with the weapon being tied to the far plane?! Reevaluating the theme of having to let go, and the permanence of death?! This is EXCELLENT. Sad to know this won't be the way X-3 goes. With modern square though, they have taken us out of the dark ages, and I have faith (😉) they could pull off something great.
Great Video. FF X still remains very close to my heart and despite the rocky reception of the sequel I hope we can get a continuation someday as I do love Spira as well and will enjoy it being explored in any capacity. Please continue with the videos despite not having a clear upload schedule these are very enjoyable. Quality over quantity.
Loved it - just wanted to share some of my own theories as well: I've always thought about Yuna rejoining/supporting as kinda a final part of her development - everything comes full circle. It's been a common thing (in history) of people who lead the charge against an old regime ending up becoming some of its strongest supporters after the fact, or are at least extremely nostalgic for it. I'd haven't heard about that cut content before, but honestly, after knowing that it exists, just makes me feel more confident in my theory - they were considering something similar at one stage, but then cut it. It's honestly a very interesting arc Yuna has been on, but I honestly think that considering Yuna never got such a proof of what Yu Yevon had done to her father, it just kinda allows her to unknowingly repeat her father's mistakes. As well, it's gonna be very hard to try and not do anything close to OG VII's plot, considering the amount of theories that already exist about the two being connected - so I do wish them luck if they ever do do X-3 to make somehting completely new.
Hey all, thanks for watching! This video contains some spoilers for Final Fantasy IX around 11:47, and it's come to my attention I neglected to include a warning in the video description until recently. As someone who's not fond of having things spoiled for me, I'm fairly upset with myself that I might have ruined a few people's journeys through an unforgettable game. So, yes, beware some spoilers for Final Fantasy IX between 11:47 and 12:15.
@@patriarch6644 Thanks you for the feedback, and sorry for the uncomfortable viewing experience! I'll avoid that kind of fast-forward visual in the future.
Perfect timing for this video. Just finished my 2nd run of this game on the Steam Version (4th time playing this game in total). Did the grinding to challenge Penance, Nemesis and the Dark Aeons. Thank goodness for that 4x turbo mode to cut down on farming/grinding time. This is my first and favorite Final Fantasy. I cannot wait for the day they announce FFX-3, whenever that is.
It's incredible how FFX continues to be popular in Japan. Mid 2022 there was this boom of Wakka becoming a meme (Oto-Wakka) and it's so surreal to see it unfold first hand lol
I view X-2 as a celebration of life after endless tragedy. Tidus' revival is not a finger snap reversal, it is the natural culmination of her recovery and a hell of a lot of hard work. TIDE-US (grrrrr) still feels fear that he is ephemeral in the secret ending, and his and Yuna's decision to cherish each other in the present is a perfect ending in very literal sense, seeing as you need to 100% the game (*shudders in ptsd*) but also because it wraps up the narrative in a perfect bow. Unless 3 is a masterpiece, canon ends there for me. John Dimaggio can't even do the Wakka voice anymore, if the audio drama is anything to go by. Oh and PS it's more or less confirmed that Yuna caused the Beckoning and I wouldn't be surprised if Tidus wished Sin back because he's taking their break up hard and their last adventure was an aphrodisiac.
Wow, wonderfully clear and concise explanation of the latter stretch of the story and perfect visual aids, really helped to click a few pieces into place for me.
Not only do I love the concept put forward for the what shouldn't hopefully be the last entry in the story but it also puts into words why I actually enjoy ffx-2 regardless of it's short comings and why I enjoy spiral so much. On a side note, if a ffx-3 does come out I would definitely recommend this to people who haven't played it as a tldr up until the speculation part.
thank you so much for this video. im 53 and ffx was my all time favorite game. havent played since i was 34. it was so nice to get an detailed explanation and now i got closure. if there is another one coming......gonna have to buy me an xbox.
Incidentally, it was recently that Braska's inclusion in the series-crossover mobile game Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia was included in the global (thus, official English localization) client. I don't recall offhand what all went down, but Yuna's reunion with her father allowed him to witness what had become of his successors, Tidus and Jecht (who had since been allied a while through DFFOO's...world?) had some comparisons and contrasts, and Auron was allowed some reprieve to again journey with the man he and Jecht both felt they'd failed, the latter to an exploitable degree. DFFOO, much as I've skipped much of its scenes due to having only played about half the represented series, has been an exercise in resonance and dissonance of characters and dynamics among the titles' narratives, and even within them, as showcased in Braska's arrival... _before Rikku!_ Seriously, assets for her implementation had been datamined, yet several years in she's still MIA, despite frikkin' _Reks_ being the latest addition in the Japanese version!
I just realized that if Lenne and Shuyin were from the time Bevelle and Zanarkand were at war, does that mean they possibly knew Yu Yevon and Lady Yunalesca?
Man this was a joy to watch and listen to, DAMN THAT MUSIC. And you perfectly explained how special FFX is in away that really did it justice. Thanks a lot man.
This is my friend's most impactful game (series?) and we have many discussions about the endings and whether bringing back Tidus was a good or bad decision, both personally and thematically. Here, you've outlined pretty much how I feel about it. Yuna and Spira have taken a step backward in their process of grief, which is not an uncommon thing to experience emotionally. But the tangibility of the dead in their world presents a unique opportunity to explore WHY holding onto the past and deceased loved ones too long is an unhealthy thing to do, even though it's so tempting. It's an ambitious undertaking, but I'd love to see it done justice, giving us true closure for the FF10 universe.
That’s a really great point, and would make a lot of sense as the central theme of a potential sequel/resolution. Why being able to revive the dead is too good to be true.
I personally don’t want a FFX3. If they take the Braska prequel approach, they are just telling stories already told. Not worth a 20 year wait imo. Besides, I prefer a bit of mystery behind those events. Having a whole game to detail them will ruin the mystery. Less is more, as they say. If FFX3 follows the event of the audio drama and novella, I feel the game will be doomed to fail. Whether you like them or not, it’s undeniable that those pieces of media have left a less than appetizing taste in the mouths of a big chunk of the fandom. For it to be salvageable, there either has to be HUGE retcons or the story has to be good enough to contend against both the 20 year wait AND the acknowledged canon of the divisive AD and novella… Sadly, either situation is not ideal. So, for me, I’d rather just see the series be left untouched. I’m just so tired as a FFX fan…
Yeah, not sure why I said, “If I had my way…” because you’re right, it really already is lol But now that you mention it, I could dust off the old Vita…
I haven't played every Final Fantasy game but FFX is definitely one of my favorites. It has some of the best soundtracks, characters, settings, etc. in a Final Fantasy game. It's also one of the few to make me get emotional.
FFX was the bomb! I don't know if anybody remembers the demo version that came on a DVD with a Playstation Magazine. Then it was just a matter of time till the game became available and it blew me away. One of the best FF experiences ever and along with its sequel made for a perfect summer game to enjoy!
This was a really good video. I finished X, but never finished X-2. I need to return to it. I think the concept behind its story is good after hearing your summary. Shuyin as an anti-Tidus is a cool idea to explore. The way the additional content ended suggests that a X-3 is necessary. I imagine that they'll make one once they're finished with the VII remake. I'd love to see you do a deep dive into IX since that's my favourite in the franchise.
I wont say tht dansg08 is a friend but he is someone that i can talk to, he is a great guy and is INSANELY knowledgeable about ffx. he 100% platinum run of the game is hands down my favorite guide. For those who wonder it is pronounced dans-go 8, it is an acronym Dark Anima No Sphere Grid 08
Point of order, Calms (prior to the Eternal Calm) lasted only about a year, not several. I didn't put this together on my first playthroughs. I thought Calms were about a decade. I was quite put out by the revelation, but I realized it was for the best. If the Calm had only *just* ended at the start of X then our young party members would be almost as inexperienced as Tidus. It also makes the absence of a Sin Truther faction in X-2 more reasonable as 2 years later is well past the normal timeline. I think it could also have interesting ramifications for the Beckoned Sin plotline. Yuna could find her authority in Nu Yevon irreparably damaged by Sin's resurgence even if the incident is quickly addressed. Though I'm not sure how they would make that hit different from the aftermath of sending Yunalesca.
Where did you get 1 year from? The Calm definitely is 10 years, they clearly explain that on the Mi'hen Highroad when meeting the little girl. 10 years and some month ago Yuna said on the ship she met Jecht the day her father left. It didn't take them 9 years to finish the journey and kill Sin. Auron brought Tidus to Spira at the moment Sin's new shell were finished.
@@Ariancia.Thystarian I forget. It might have been when I was reading supplemental material. But Braska's Calm was about a year long about ten years ago. If the Calm ended when Sin-Ject brought Tidus over there would be no time for Lulu to have already gone on a failed pilgrimage or for Chappu to have gone off. And if you think about it Wakka and Lulu would be almost as unaccustomed to it as Tidus.
@@Brahmsonite Wait that's some valid points. How did Lulu go on two pilgrimage before Yuna if Sin just came back. But just a year of Calm... if it's that short I don't think I agree with Yuna anymore. Also why are they pressing 10 years so much while not at all making it clear how fast Sin comes back?
@@Brahmsonite The fandom wiki agree with you too. It says Braska's calm was slight less than a year. So no calm actually have a set time, what we where suppose to take away from the Mi'hen explanation is that the calm is the time between Sin dies and Sin comes back. How long that time is seems to vary. And to Yuna, no matter how short the time, it's worth it. Sin kills when it comes to close to groups of people. And until Sin starts wandering aimlessly it's controlled by the last "final summoning". So if it's strong enough they might be able to keep Sin away for a while. Of course Jecht being an emotional person failing to not get to close to Beside, most likely trying to check up on Braska's daughter. While missing his son. Using Shiva's fate to keep Sin still, because it kept Jecht still reminding him of home. But that means Jecht managed to keep Sin some what under his control for 9 years?
35:08 Funny that you mentioned this! Shinra, the whiz kid in FFX-2, talks about this kind of thing and a lot of people theorize that The Planet is, in fact, Spira a long, long time after FFX-2.
The truth is, continued development interest in the Final Fantasy X series was a victim of the Square Enix merger to my knowledge; Everyone who was involved with the game is still involved with Final Fantasy to this day, although one of the scenario writers is now a free lancer, they still have a good relationship with SE and accepts work from them. To my knowledge, the *only* reasons we didn't really see anything after X-2 is purely because the leadership at SE had no interest in approving another game while the writers equally have moved on as they wanted to try new ideas. Keep in mind all the guys involved with this title were in their 30s when they made it and they're now in their 50s, so unless they decide to go back to this out of a spark of nostalgia, it is very unlikely it will be touched again. More likely new blood will want to make a new title out of their love of the game when they were young and how that would turn out will be purely up to speculation, if that; Such was the case with the FFVII remake.
I think Nomura once said some years ago that one reason they won't go into FFX back anytime soon is because they're all too busy with current projects, XIV, XVI and VII Remakes games, so thanks VII for going into a 10 years long project I guess.
I... Just realized how strange it is that specifically Summoners are responsible for seeing souls off to the farplane AND summoning aeons to fight Sin. Like... That's a very specific set of roles that's been ordained to them by the faith of Spira.
They were originally there to send. Summoming became a way of "dealing" with Sin..or more-so clever plan to keep yevon ticking over. It's not strange. You people will over analyze the simplest of things just to make it complicated and sound profound which it is not.
Kingdom Hearts got me into Final Fantasy. Ten was the first one I had ever played and still to this day is my all time favorite. So after the audio story from the anniversary release. I am pretty excited for the 3rd. What I was wondering is if Sin is summoned back through the beckoning does it mean that every defeated Sin over the last 1000 years could possibly be beckoned back, possibly simultaneously? Is it even Jetch’s Sin that has been beckoned back?
Fantastic video, I particularly loved how you analyzed the core themes of the games and did justice to FFX-2, which does a very good job in picking up on the wider implications of the original's ending. However, I'm surprised you didn't mention the richest opportunity for the FFX world to become a bigger franchise than just squeezing an extra game: A prequel. Be it an exploration of Braska's pilgrimage, the events that led to the Bevelle vs. Zanarkand war, the creation of Sin or even a former summoner's pilgrimage, the world of Spira is ripe with stories worth exploring that tackle the same themes as FFX. Honestly, FFX-2 already wrapped all the important narrative threads. Yuna and Tidus's arcs are done. There are even alternate endings in which Yuna either never revives Tidus or outright refuses to resurrect a dream. The potential is in expanding the past. It's a fortunate place, honestly, since you know that whatever plot point you create will automatically be resolved happily in ~1000 years, so you can create any intrigue and destruction you want meanwhile. Like FF7 Crisis Core, there is great potential in tragic stories with beloved characters, as long as you ultimately know their sacrifice means something.
Thank you for watching, and you bring up a very good point! There's definitely a ton of potential in exploring the past, and there are plenty of avenues to take--My personal preference being something centered around one of the earliest pilgrimages, even if not directly. I wanted to dive into the prequel idea in this video a bit more, but I ultimately felt like what I had in the script at the time was taking too much attention away from focusing on the core of the video. (Who knows, maybe i can include this in a 'Director's Cut' version sometime in the future!)
This video has been on my watch later list for like 9 months now. I've been playing the series for the first time, and I FINALLY got to 10 a little while ago. I was excited, not only because I was really looking forward to the game, but because I was intrigued by the title of this video. So last night, I finally beat it. Great game, very moving. Now to watch the vid- oh. Oh, this video is gonna talk about the sequel, too. Guess I'm playing the sequel now. All aboard for Yuna's Wild Tomb Raiding Adventure! One day maybe I'll watch this thing. From the few minutes I saw, it looks really good!
There is a huge misconception about the audio drama and novel. Watch a couple videos by Final Fantasy Peasant and you'll feel a lot better about them, I promise! :)
Im pretty optimistic about the concept of FFX-3 tbh. The only way they can fuck it up royally for me is to go "Btw the FF7 connection is canon lets double down on that" Say they rehash old things and we have to fight sin again? Cool, Spira lives off of cycles so maybe one final one to truly put the fayth, summoning as a whole and maybe even the farplane to rest could be a nice send off. (also probably the return of seymour) If they go with new stuff? Im totally open. Honestly what they COULD do which would be a bold-as-fuck move would be to have the cast remember being in Dissidia, possibly Opera Omnia particularly. A lot of lessons learned from strangers from other worlds. Though that might be too radical of a change. After all, currently in OO Tidus and Jecht have a pretty healthy relationship and Yuna is able to journey with her father. And Im a sucker so ya know what they could do that'd make me scream in happiness? The crew repair or use parts of Vegnagun to shoot sin out of the sky in a show of defiance for the past even using the past to do so. And then going forward with defeating the root cause of the farplane disturbances which I assume is Seymour. He could even be what summoned Sin back. Maybe a boss rush of the former high summoners' final aeons similar to the end of FFX but its not _your_ aeons this time.
Very succint summary of a very convoluted plot from the first game, thank you for putting into words what I haven't been able to figure out and piece together for years despite scouring wikias. Super enlightening and informative, great editing and music and even though it's not a fave FF of mine, I love going back and revisiting these worlds from time to time through videos like this.
@@107Pedro An example of a convoluted plot in the game is what Tidus is supposed to be. In the game they tell him he's a dream, but after doing some research, I found out he's a summon like the aeons, which is why he can see the human form of Bahamut. They never really explained that well imo and I think also people took the dream thing at face value because of how it was presented. I played this game when I was 5-6 years old and replaying it as a 14 year old, I just never understood what they were trying to tell me unless I went out of my way to watch videos on the topic. The presentation of lore in the game makes it easy to rub your head when trying to connect points together cause you really have to pay attention to names and what important characters are saying
@@eclipsewh7777 what? From the first time I got to zanarkand and they said the fate was dreaming the fake Zanarkand I got that Tidus is a summoned being. The only thing in the game I never understood was where dream zanarkand was, as a kid I tought it was in like the farplane or "Aeon dimension", but its actually in the middle of the sea? That should be explained
Not only does Tidus come back but his old team the Zanarkand abes comes back too. And you can even play against them at luca. Tidus is listed as star player. It would be awesome if their rivals, the Zanarkand duggles also came and then resume their derby match that was rudely interrupted by Sin. Maybe this can happen in a future ffx sequel maybe as an unlockable feature ?
This is what I would do if I made FFX-3. I would make a generational battle between the older generation who lived under the fear of sin. Turn to Yuyevon and Yuyevon Turns to Seymour mother Final Aeon Anemia. Due to the fire Flys being unstable and vast amount of zombies running around Zanakerand. Where the young generation going to have to fight the older generation to be free. "Stay away from the summoner you heathen!" Who knows they might take this and use it in Kingdom Hearts Sora.
It would be quiet interesting if Tidus would be having an existential crisis while Yuna becomes a somewhat of an antagonist because she now desires to follow a life script. It could come out that Yuna didn't just resurrect him that one time where he died to a bomb & then out of nowhere he could be told that the reason he exists once again in the first place is because the dead have their own desires to fulfill, therefor his & yuna's roles of the first game reverse where he has go on a pilgrimage. A lot of late stage cancer victims understand that their life is coming to an end but their family members fight tooth and nail to delay their passing.
The thing that always bothered me between X and X-2 was the change to Rikku's character. Sure, she's spunky in the first game, but she is also wise and pensive, the only non-Unsent party member to refuse to visit the Farplane, because she knows that nothing will come from wishing for the past. She flat out tells Tidus that the whole pilgrimage thing is bullshit. That spunkiness belies a person with the strength to face reality, warts and all. Then in X-2... she's a flipping idiot. They reduced her nature to a comedy relief dumbass to pratfall off Payne's straight-man attitude.
I'm in the minority of people who really loved X2, I see where your coming from. I would argue this belittling of characters applies to the whole cast, not just Rikku. Whenever Lulu, Wakka or Kimari, are onscreen they also seem less than ffX set them up to become. X2 was also the first title with an all female cast. Japan and anime tends to catogorise women so 3 charcters 3 stereotypes, sad girl, mad girl, and dumb girl.
Yeah, over the past few decades, it seems that video game companies are having a difficult time resolving their cliffhangers as fans would love them to do. You already mentioned the return of former Soldier First Class Genesis making his return in the secret ending of Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. What does Genesis intend to do with Weiss, and what can the now well-established heroes do to stop his plans where Zack wasn't able to put a permanent stop to Genesis before? Then we have Capcom's Mega Man universe. There are now 11 games in the main series, and we know that Dr. Light and Dr. Wily will build X and Zero at some point, but what happens to the original cast of robots? The X series, this one stopped at 8 games in the main series and ends with something happening to the new Maverick Hunter Axl. What, exactly did Lumine do to him? Even if Axl is repaired, how are his systems going to be affected by Lumine's last action? Also, though many fans don't want it, Sigma must somehow return again because we find out in the Zero series that Sigma won't face true defeat until the first Cyber Elf is created to fully nullify the the computer virus that Sigma is. And then Mega Man Legends 2 ended with Mega Man Volnutt/Trigger stuck in space. The next sequel flat-out cancelled around the time that Inafune left Capcom, no one else willing to take up the mantle. This is why I never really got excited about newer generation game consoles after the PS2... Aside from the Final Fantasy 13 trilogy and Final Fantasy 15... there was no more continuation of any of my other favorite game series on any of them. Any Mega Man series, the original Castlevania timeline, none of it.
Honestly this whole video just reminds me with that whole FF9 thing that is slightly going on. It's very interesting how the creative process for JRPG related content is going on at Square so far. It's like this weird wave that is being foretold by FF7R. I see FF7R being the bank account for this potential big wave of fanservice content galore tbh.
i can't describe to you how gutted i was when i watched such a well thought out, high quality production video essay on my favorite ps2 jrpg, went to your channel and saw nothing else!!! but then i saw the notification for a video from you about my other favorite ps2 jrpg and everything righted itself haha. as much as i love both X and X-2 i can't say that i was really looking forward to the prospect of X-3 after the novella/audio drama, but if they go in any of the directions you hypothesize then i'd be cautiously optimistic. i agree that X has one of the most compelling and well developed universes and i want to see so much more about how Spira either breaks from its cycle, or continues to spiral down it. 😅 i'm really excited for whatever you do next, it's obvious how much time and effort you put into these so i'm excited to see your channel grow!
A fellow Spira lover! Haha, I took a bit longer with this video than I initially planned, but I'm hoping to hit a cadence where uploads become more regular!
I had zero hype towards X3, I was there in that ffx3 forum when the fan translations were happening (or trying to happen) and I couldn’t believe they were killing of Tidus and bringing sin yet again. Your video and theories about where the story could possibly go lit a spark of curiosity however. Whether it happens or not, I’ll be fine with it.
The issue I have with the kamikaze connection is that Japan led an offensive war to basically rule over Asia. They also did this believing that they were the ultimate Asian race. They thought of those that they conquered as less than human. The summoner are sacrificing for humanity and peace. The kamikazees are sacrificing themselves for the destruction of human life. If anything they're just as bad as sin if not worse because at least one could maybe argue that sin did it in response to humans not living a moral life. Or sin was just a force with no intent like a hurricane or tornado. To this day the Japanese haven't even apologized for what they did which is arguably just as bad as what the Nazis did across Europe.
FFX was my first console game when I bought PS2 before, played FF advanced tactics on Gameboy...so quite step up It's special to me because of been "my first" I played original X-2...I have to admit I love to have a "happy-ever-after" I would happy with that & nothing more 3? He could be "Mr yuna" and support whatever Yuna wants as a role to resolve lose ends (sorry Tate😜) but bring back Sin? Oh hell no! I truly loved this video...really resparked my love in FFX thanks so very much for this!!
I love ffx and x-2. While I totally agree that x-2 undercuts the ending of ffx, but I also love them getting a happy ending! I don't count x-3. It doesn't exist in my mind 😅😅😅
Apparently it was confirmed by Nomura that FFX is a very distant prequel to FFVII (separated by thousands of years, and taking place on different worlds). In light of that, I think it would be interesting to explore the reasons behind leaving Spira for the stars, how they finally made their way to Gaia, and what their connection to the Cetra might be. Perhaps maybe even see some intermediary generations between the Al Bhed prodigy Shinra and the notorious electric company that would much later bear that same name.
Yeah but Nomura's word as canon on X rather than VII is debatable and I'd default to it being not influential. Also, that dude has the writing sensibilities of a crackhead.
FFX-3 is in the list of "Things that would be Awesome to have, which I hope never get made". Risk is too big. Game is FFX. FFX-2 I haven't played much. But I can accept that, too. Anything after that is DEFINITELY NOT CANON, no matter how Canon it is. It's not going to happen, I will never accept those. They just reset things and make no sense at all. In any case, the best ending is at FFX, and I'm happy to let Yuna have her eternal Calm, her slightly chubby Wakka, and her two minutes, forty-one seconds. It's not much, but it's exactly what she needs.
I kind of inferred that Braska knew and went with it anyways at the end. I don't see it as Braska giving up on Yevon so much as being too deep into Yevon to give it up. I liek to think this is why Tidus was thrown into this mix. Tidus was someone who isn't pro Yevon or even has experience in Spira's real world. He wasn't going to be swayed by a life of Yevon and this inevitably breaks Yuna's faith in Yevon despite all the betrayals she's faced with but Tidus makes Yuna question Yevon's teachings' slowly throughout the journey so that she doesn't just become a husk when she realize its all BS. She just simply changes the objective. It's not "The teachings of Yevon" it becomes simply "The people". Tidus isn't the only one, Auron also is very particular about the information Yuna obtains. He also wants her to not make the same mistake Braska makes and ensures she doesn't follow completely in her father's footsteps. While the story isn't overt about it like it was mentioned in the ultimenia it was certainly hinted at, whether or not Yuna actually gets the hint doesn't matter. Yuna is proud of her father for giving peace to the people of Spira and she doesn't seem to cast aside her father for what she did to Jecht. A thousand years of brainwashing and realizing that Sin is death and everything revolves around sacrifice, it's just another inevitability to the point that it hardly even feels like a plottwist. For Braska, it's just one more round of BS to get through. For Tidus though, it's different. He doesn't live in the spira these guys live in. He questions everything and as you stated, "It's a breath of fresh air to them"; having a person that truly doesn't live by the teachings and even goes so far as to question them. So here's the biggest downfall of this idea. Why does Jecht not have an effect on Braska's decision to summon the final Aeon, but Yuna loses her faith completely to the point of killing Lady Yunalesca's unsent due to Tidus? One is a fallen summoner of sorts who isn't expected much of while Yuna is the epitome of a priestess of Yevon with a bit of an open mind. An idea would be that this is just another spin on age. The young are rebellious while the old are more accepting of bad scenarios. However, Jecht has never been one to accept things as they are either. For a long time, jecht fought against the idea summoners should die just like Tidus did. And just like Tidus, Jecht knew there was no stopping Braska once he made up his mind about something, a trait his daughter inherited. So in the end, I'm not why Braska just acceptesd the status quo while Yuna rebelled at it. I would have preferred having a prequel so we can get a working knowledge of how much Auron and Jecht did their best to resist Yevon in the end, but until then, we'll never know. So in the end, is Braska evil for putting Jecht through that? I'd have to say no, he is not. That's just how things work in Spira. History is lost to the populace so the only thing they can rely on is the propaganda Bevelle hands out. Had the populace had the knowledge of Yu Yevon that...Yevon leadership seem keen on not telling anyone, perhaps a realistic assault on Sin could be accomplish that was different than operation Mihan. But a dumb populace who lives in fear is a very easy to control populace so in the end...it was probably just easier to do it this way.
I think Braska may of know what was going on but he continued the pilgrimage due to Yuna. Al behd are hated amongst the yevon temples and people's. Ever single town in spira has people of yevon in them, if braska hadn't defeated sin yuna and braska would be shunned and forced to hide at home but may not be welcomed there either due to cid
I do feel like x-2 is just a "come enjoy a vacation back into this world you love" kind of thing. It isn't much of a sequel as it just feels like a very long epilogue.
I’d love to see a prequel there’s too much lore that is left untouched- dream zanarkand yu yevon and the thousand year war Zion and lesca. Auron and Jecht and Braska…the outcast of the Al bhed
Based on this video, I think the following would be either needed plot points or required pieces to building 10-3. First, it can't be "10-3" or "X-3". It would have to go the "Lightning Returns" route, as otherwise the *only* people the game would appeal towards would be those that played 10 AND X-2. There has to be changes to pull a new audience back in. As such the main cast from prior games need to be placed in mentor roles and either background characters, or unplayable. Perhaps Tidus and Yuna's child + Wakka and Lulu's child from 10-2, with some other characters with connection to Rikku and Kimhari. So we're 15 years into the future or so. Then we'd have to explain what has happened in those 15 years, especially if Sin has returned (we'd definitely need that novel localized). Personally I'd emphasize the farplane and make it such that due to Sin's existence the pyreflies (and energy they contain) couldn't properly be returned to the world. Vegnagun was created to leverage the "existing pool" of said energy. And "Sin is back" in a similar case to Tidus from the first game, too many believe it will return, and as a result the pyreflies recreate it (similar to how Tidus is created by the beliefs of the trapped Zanarkandians). I'm not gonna touch the "world politics" section with a 10 foot pole as I haven't played X-2 to know its final state to continue from. Last we'd need the overarching theme, and I think you have a good one "letting go of the past". I'd just extend that into "celebrating the Now". Tidus can still follow the arc you give him, but as he wouldn't be a main character, it would be more of a side quest. There is too much somber feel in the entire Spira set up. People have only just recently been granted a new lease on life, and they recreate their old living conditions due to their focus on their past. Even during sending ceremonies the attendees are acting sad and in mourning, "remembering" those that were lost. And even though the ceremony gave them some closure, there still existed the "regret" that those lives disappeared. Have the "ever growing pool" of "pyrefly energy" be that "regret". So, where does the plot go? Instead of focusing on what could be/was/will be lost, the party celebrates the past, the experiences shared, the challenges overcome, and the bonds forged. The party moves past the grief of the past, and into the hope of the future. And getting the world to focus on what it currently has and where it can go becomes the driving force of the party (this honestly sounds a lot like the birth of a religion). What's the big bad or climax? It can't be Sin because we've asserted that Sin exists only due to regret towards the past. I've asserted that the "pyrefly pool" is a reservoir about to burst, but what would that "burst" be, and how would it be emphasized over the course of the game? Perhaps "the old worlds returning" causing massive geological changes in short periods of time. IE. "Old Bevelle" overwrites "current Bevelle" with all the old spirits appearing as full people (akin to the Yevon leadership). What happens to the current buildings? The people in the town when the "merge" occurs? All of a sudden being able to see your entire family line again (and hell even live with them). But the more the Pyreflies recreate "the world of old" the less connection the current world has to the physical plane... and so we could have an existing city refuse to move forward and completely dissolve into the "lifestream" (we can even 'blame Sin'). So, even though you are being given everything you could want emotionally (by seeing past relatives and friends again), you *must* move forward recognizing you are given "what you need", and that it's up to you to "make the best of what the past has given you". Take a dying depressed world teetering on a new brink of despair, abd our party pushes it into the light of hope. "Move on" and live for the sake of those that cannot. Do not mourn their passing, but celebrate the time you shared. Reach for the way you want things to be with all your might, and be mature enough to accept the way things were without being shackled to the past.
So, a couple things I wanna say after watching this on some ideas you had for a potential FFX-3: - The idea of retroactively adding back in the Braska Sphere containing his confessions towards his wavering faith, outright defeated nature, and his desire to see his destruction of Sin and Yu Yeveon once and for all would genuinely be a genius move that would retroactively make Auron's whole arc better. Think about it. To learn that Braska, Auron AND Jecht all actually came to the exact same conclusion, would be fucking awesome, especially given the opportunities this presents for Yuna's character moving forwards. Yuna is now essentially the anchor that people rely on in the current world, and her involvement in it could be a major source of conflict for how she solves her conflicting ideals that are bubbling in her. But I think this is a perfect way to find a solid, meaningful ending for Tidus' arc too. Tidus is no longer important in the grand scheme of things, something I feel he'll have to come to terms with himself. But in a very bold, and honestly characteristic move of the FFX stories, this could happen relatively quickly, rather than be a drawn out, constant struggle. See, no matter what happens with Tidus, he ends up realising, that both figuratively and literally, his entire reason for being at this point is helping Yuna. And so, he presents her, her solution to her conflict through his own perspective, something that has always been one of his strongest driving points in the story, and something he loses during his incredibly insecure phase. Perhaps, through his own actions, he could teach Yuna that it's more important for her to carve her own path, forge her own destiny, HER OWN STORY, and not be branded by her shackles of the past, the miss-doings of others, and the sins she's inherited to bear for Spira....
"Why be the people's anchor, when you can be the ship that sails them forwards; chart a course for new horizons, new possibilities. Be their change Yuna. I can never change, I've always been me, and I guess, by nature, I always will." Tidus, in a very surprising move follows this up with a loaded question, that HE KNOWS the outcome of, if he gets the answer he knows deep down is true, but is scared to accept, "you brought me back again Yuna, didn't you? I'm just like the others... It's okay - look, I already made my peace, back on the airship, that it was never going to work. That I was never going to work." Yuna, now frightened of the possibility of what he's suggestion tries to deny what he's asking, but he continues anyway, "Yuna, you need to let go. Not for me either, but for yourself. The people need you, and this-- --me? It's getting in the way of all that, I know it. I see the way you look at me, I see the distance you've created, and I see the pain in your eyes whenever you look at me. I just... I just need to hear it, from you, yeah?" Obviously, this entire setup is super fanficcy, and I'm honestly not sure how well I portray a potentially well written Tidus and Yuna moment, but, I have one final line of dialogue to kind of complete this
"Whatever happens, just know: I'll always be with you, even if just in your memories. And... I love you too." This last line may seem odd, until you put the ending of X into context. Tidus is essentially leading straight off of Yuna's line to him before he fades, as if to signal, "it's time."
As another, unrelated note: since SE has both fully acknowledged and made canon the FFX-FFVII theory, I think this story could also cap off with the conclusion to this story, the Farplane and Sin's return, with the underbelly of Bevel too with the formal introduction of what we would come to know as the Lifestream. The layer that perhaps existed underneath the Farplane the entire time, and could lead to the explanation to everything that went wrong with the Farplane with Yuna being the solution. I have this idea, that Yuna gives herself to the Lifestream, whilst performing some sort of Final summoning, HER final summoning (to be poetic). And instead of death, she becomes the Lifestream's very first Ancient. I think that would be a SUPER cool twist, that could have a pretty detailed idea logical explanation woven in, that would start the cycle of Final Fantasy VII's entire World. Spira would move on, and the prospects of the young Shinra would utilise machina to make Mega cities, to house people of all backgrounds, using the "gifts given by the Lifestream" which would be a less corrupt version of his descendants' take on it.
Great video! A major theme in the game is water. Blitz ball, Sin, the main sword and the cover of the game are all water based. The land is a series of islands. Tides are a force of water. That's why tide-us is the main characters name.
I've never finished X, I love it but I'm bad at games. I've tried twice, and both time got stuck at a boss. First time the Crawler and somehow earlier the second time against Sinspawn: Gui. :| Apparently the sphere grid is really important. I love X-2. Although the story isn't presented in the best way, it's still interesting. I LOVE the characters maybe more then X. I absolutely LOVE the battle system and Dressphere/Garment Grid is SO fun and cool.
Fantastic Video! FFX is one of my favorite games in the series, and the last truly great original Final Fantasy game ever made. At least for me. Honestly watching your video was the first I had heard about a lot of this newer content (I mean is decade old content really new?) and I have to say that it seems kinda... bad. I adored X-2 for what it was and shared the same outlook on it as you. It was a last "hurrah" into Spira. A fan service epilogue to leave you feeling a little bit happier than when you started. Hot damn did that audio drama and book apparently fuck that up.
I'm probably the only one that liked it
No joke. Talked about it to some randoms at work while I was slacking off.
Some dude was like "BlissBall is awesome and I loved the music!"
Reading this comment after I spent an inordinate time trying to win a tournament because I Wakka's celestial is the ONLY ONE I DON'T HAVE 😡😂

Now I'm crying
Lol 😂
I played through X for the first time a year ago, and even though I'm 28 it was one of the most magical, unforgettable experiences of my life. I didn't grow up with it and yet any time I hear the soundtrack it feels like I'm getting hit with a wave of nostalgia LMAO. I think it really speaks to how much X holds up, even 20 years after release
And holy shit man.
@@pocketsnacks yuuuusss, twinsies 😩🙏 Glad it could hook you too!
@@berger8100 I feel grateful I got to play this game for the first time during 2020. I felt like I had really gone on a long journey with a group of friends :')
I played it when I was 28 at release, and it is still one my favorite games of all time.
I love the longform deep dives. The editing is crisp, music great, and you have some great things to say. Keep it up :D
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
It remains among the best in video game storytelling.
Here's a stupid fact : apparently half people disliking The Laugh scene are actually believing it was supposed to be a well played laugh
smh
Half the people who think X-2 ruined the characters think Yuna became a pop star
What??? That's stupid. 😅
That can't be true because they both laugh for real afterwards. I think they just wanted to meme it before meme's were a thing.
I really hope you keep going with this channel. The quality has been great! I bet you'd make a good guest over on State of the Arc Podcast too
Thank you so much! I have a lot of catching up to do with the State of the Arc pod---They do a ton of great work!
@@jerrrdan they're on Xenosaga right now!
You’re doing fantastic bro! And LOVING State of the Arc Podcast Xenosaga series!
XIV has all that in spades, and my personal favorite FF story to boot :)
Felt too...if I played it now, in the middle of winter...that would be soo nice😑
Love finding small channels like this early on! Great vid :) Hope more will be coming our way!
10 is a masterpiece. 😎
It is quite spiffy.
Loved it - just wanted to share some of my own theories as well:
I've always thought about Yuna rejoining/supporting as kinda a final part of her development - everything comes full circle.
FFX is one of my favorite stories. I say "stories", because i've never played it.
This video was very well written, thank you for it!
You got Dansg08 right. That's how he pronounces it anyways. It stands for him being the first to do Dark Anima No Sphere Grid 2008
Good thing I like to skim comments during video intros. That's one of the few I haven't played yet and I would've been pretty bummed out to see.
Yh if you haven't played and plan on playing ffx. Just don't watch, play 1st
this is edited so well. it's addicting
Thank you so much!!
I gotta say the part roughly 27-29 was pretty eye-straining for me.. Sometimes that can trigger a migraine for me.. I had to look away.. :(
@@patriarch6644 Thanks you for the feedback, and sorry for the uncomfortable viewing experience! I'll avoid that kind of fast-forward visual in the future.
You are impressively good at video editing, bro. I can only assume you do it for a living.
Awesome video. Mad respect on your unapologetic commitment to Tidus’ pronunciation. You know where it’s at.
Damn. I hope they do one for Xenogears too. Ive been waiting for a remake lol
KIMOCHI YO SUGI DARO
DiMaggio can't do the Wakka voice anymore? Why?
@@an_impasse iunno
@@an_impasse Age, probably. Same as how David Hayter had to start doing a different voice for Snake (until Kojima just recast Keifer Sutherland.)

I'm also obsessed with this game and can't seem to stop replaying it
Wow, wonderfully clear and concise explanation of the latter stretch of the story and perfect visual aids, really helped to click a few pieces into place for me.
Really excited for the new video!
Just finished it, I had a great time! can't wait for the next one, but take as much time as you need
I was hoping to get something new from you
This was such a treat to find. Thank you for covering my favorite FF!
Can't wait to see what you do next.
I just realized that if Lenne and Shuyin were from the time Bevelle and Zanarkand were at war, does that mean they possibly knew Yu Yevon and Lady Yunalesca?
Yes. I am pretty sure that during the war all summoners had to work together.
One minute in and I'm subbed. Your sass is EVERYTHING!
Damn dude. When i saw you had 1k subscribers i was like whhhaaat. This is quality. Subscribing.
1:36 it's funny this section is mentioned since I might be one of three people who own FFX on PSVita. It really is the Skyrim of JRPGS
Yeah, not sure why I said, “If I had my way…” because you’re right, it really already is lol
But now that you mention it, I could dust off the old Vita…
Welcome back!
Really excited to see where your channel goes after this. Great video
2:36 Bruh, the zoom in on Rin when "wallet" was mentioned killed me XD. Such a good joke!
This is such a great video, I really hope more people get to see it!
Back again after your stellar retrospective Xenosaga video.
@@Ariancia.Thystarian Those are some great questions. They really should have made it clearer. Still mostly great though, eh?
I mean thats because it was planned..it was made to be a cycle
It's all ghosts.
They can control spirits
Its because both are abilities that require the skill to manipulate pyreflies, just in two different ways.
They were originally there to send. Summoming became a way of "dealing" with Sin..or more-so clever plan to keep yevon ticking over.
It's not strange. You people will over analyze the simplest of things just to make it complicated and sound profound which it is not.
Dude, these just keep getting better and better. Keep it coming!
@@jerrrdan looking forward to more of your videos! I'd love it if you shared more of your thoughts on a first pilgrimage prequel! 😁
The only way they can fuck it up royally for me is to go "Btw the FF7 connection is canon lets double down on that"
Say they rehash old things and we have to fight sin again? Cool, Spira lives off of cycles so maybe one final one to truly put the fayth, summoning as a whole and maybe even the farplane to rest could be a nice send off. (also probably the return of seymour)
If they go with new stuff?
What is convoluted? I just don't get it, I understood this plot as a 12 year old non native english speaker, yet ive seen so may comments like this
@@107Pedro An example of a convoluted plot in the game is what Tidus is supposed to be.
Just to let you know that Nobuo Uematsu did not Compose The Farplane Abyss theme(or any of FFX-2 OST
I'm a big fan of final fantasy, and I must say I quite enjoyed your way presenting this content
Rikku went from being one of my favourite characters to my least because of that game.
dude! i was here thinking you have like 1.9 million subscribers! your quality is amazing! please do one about final fantasy 14 :)
I honestly prefer the open ending that leaves so much wonder and mystery, though I'm also not opposed to an X-3
Everyone at Square Enix wants to make X-3, but it's perpetually on the list of theoretical back burner projects.
if you reference another video, please add a link in the description please. 🙏
I’ve added the playlist in the description! Thanks for pointing that out!
i can't describe to you how gutted i was when i watched such a well thought out, high quality production video essay on my favorite ps2 jrpg, went to your channel and saw nothing else!!! but then i saw the notification for a video from you about my other favorite ps2 jrpg and everything righted itself haha. as much as i love both X and X-2 i can't say that i was really looking forward to the prospect of X-3 after the novella/audio drama, but if they go in any of the directions you hypothesize then i'd be cautiously optimistic. i agree that X has one of the most compelling and well developed universes and i want to see so much more about how Spira either breaks from its cycle, or continues to spiral down it. 😅 i'm really excited for whatever you do next, it's obvious how much time and effort you put into these so i'm excited to see your channel grow!
A fellow Spira lover!
Haha, I took a bit longer with this video than I initially planned, but I'm hoping to hit a cadence where uploads become more regular!
what is the game at 1:19
I had zero hype towards X3, I was there in that ffx3 forum when the fan translations were happening (or trying to happen) and I couldn’t believe they were killing of Tidus and bringing sin yet again.
This whole video is wild. The content, your approach, and your take.
But I enjoyed it thoroughly.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and the editing was amazing! I look forward to future content
FFX was my first console game when I bought PS2
before, played FF advanced tactics on Gameboy...so quite step up
It's special to me because of been "my first"
I played original X-2...I have to admit I love to have a "happy-ever-after"
I would happy with that & nothing more
3? He could be "Mr yuna" and support whatever Yuna wants as a role to resolve lose ends (sorry Tate😜) but bring back Sin? Oh hell no!
I truly loved this video...really resparked my love in FFX thanks so very much for this!!
ffx is my favorite ff game i've played to date. I put it over xii and the remake as well as ix, xii, xiii, lighning returns, xv, and obviously ffx-2
It depresses me that the audio drama is canon, because now the story will probably be permanently left on a sad cliffhanger.
Always loved the idea of Sin and the existentialism that the game explored. Probably my fav JRPG of all time
I love ffx and x-2. While I totally agree that x-2 undercuts the ending of ffx, but I also love them getting a happy ending! I don't count x-3. It doesn't exist in my mind 😅😅😅
Since you showed Final Fantasy Tactics when you said "some you didn't like," I feel personally attacked... 🤣🤣
Oh man, I certainly didn’t mean to imply that! Tactics is an absolutely phenomenal game that I still replay to this day!
I really like the way you break down and delve into the game. Good job!
@@emb2888 A very interesting idea of what could have been. I like it.
Great video man! One of my favorite games of all time, this brought back fond memories!
Greatest character and story game ever
So, a couple things I wanna say after watching this on some ideas you had for a potential FFX-3:
- The idea of retroactively adding back in the Braska Sphere containing his confessions towards his wavering faith, outright defeated nature, and his desire to see his destruction of Sin and Yu Yeveon once and for all would genuinely be a genius move that would retroactively make Auron's whole arc better.
I can never change, I've always been me, and I guess, by nature, I always will."
Tidus, in a very surprising move follows this up with a loaded question, that HE KNOWS the outcome of, if he gets the answer he knows deep down is true, but is scared to accept, "you brought me back again Yuna, didn't you? I'm just like the others... It's okay - look, I already made my peace, back on the airship, that it was never going to work. That I was never going to work."
Yuna, now frightened of the possibility of what he's suggestion tries to deny what he's asking, but he continues anyway, "Yuna, you need to let go. Not for me either, but for yourself. The people need you, and this-- --me? It's getting in the way of all that, I know it. I see the way you look at me, I see the distance you've created, and I see the pain in your eyes whenever you look at me. I just... I just need to hear it, from you, yeah?"
Obviously, this entire setup is super fanficcy, and I'm honestly not sure how well I portray a potentially well written Tidus and Yuna moment, but, I have one final line of dialogue to kind of complete this
"Whatever happens, just know: I'll always be with you, even if just in your memories. And... I love you too."
This last line may seem odd, until you put the ending of X into context.
I swear back when i was 21, this was da best game of 2001.
Also can’t have spoilers for a game that’s over two decades old
Great video!
Now I want to play FFX. Never got around to actually finishing so really need to do that at some point.
Why do people call him Teedus? It’s Tie-dus. Like the tide. Because of his water theme.
