Excellent review and I think this is the most realistic real-world/ application test, helping me in further research and making my decision - thank you.

Thanks for your feedback Zulaik! And I hope you end up getting a great product for your needs.
I like your videos. You really help the people who watch your videos. So informative and most importantly everyone's knowledge is elevated just by learning from you. Thanks a lot.
That was great review. I hope you can do the Sync 40 soon - its supposed to be even better than the 20. For now I am staying with my 7200.

Thanks for watching! I initially thought I'd need the Sync 40 for the room we use for our hybrid meetings. It turned out the Sync 20 was enough. But I'd still love to try the 40 too!
sounds like distance speaking from 2+ meters is best with the poly 20 but if you want clarity from a meter, away, the 7200 seems to be much much less tinny and instead sounds clean/crisp. gonna have to keep my 7200 for now. thank you for the great trials.

Yes, the Calisto 7200 is great even though it's already several years old. I even saw they've now dropped the price from US$200 to US$100: amzn.to/35ME57m
The Sync 20 is louder than the 7200, but it appears to me that both have good noise cancellation. If the gain is adjusted on the 7200, it may provide equivalent performance.

Yes the Calisto 7200 works really well in our meeting room. In this video, th-cam.com/video/H8Y2OkR_88E/w-d-xo.html, I did adjust the volume between the devices and distances.
Hard to compare since the Sync 20 was a LOT louder, which tends to make it sound better, but I also noticed more "room echo" in the Sync 20 (which may be more "natural" if you were in the room). The 7200 is super clear. This is a hard one, I would also call it a matter of personal preference, both sound excellent. I would be interested in which one has a better speaker and if there are other features that differntiate them.

The Sync 20, being the current generation, does have a few more features like audio prompts and Teams integration. Something to consider in the full review for sure!
The small square one was very legible, the best of the ok choices. The laptop mic was also very legible. But had some slightly unpleasant background buzz. The fancy looking one was not very legible. It's like someone tried to add in more bass to make it sound more full range but failed completely and made it both limited range and unintelligible None of them were as good as your lavalier mic, which is nearly as clear, but also sounds more full range and human.

Yes, the $20 lavalier mic is quite impressive for the price!
Absolutely the Calisto 7200/Polycom VoxBox is better, it's truer to what conference room jockeys want in day long sales calls, we don't give a sh*t about loud booming voices and distracting bass. We only care about clear voices that the 7200 and the VoiceStation 300/500 offers. I still have my VoiceStation 500 from 2008 and use that for most of my calls. The 7200 works in a pinch, but I don't see much of an incentive to buy my own, and absolutely not any of the PolyCom Sync units 20/40/60 (Plantronics).

The bass on the Sync 20 is noticeable. For listening to music it's not bad!
I have compared 7200 with poly sync 40 last night .. audio quality was too roomy from poly 40. It was good for listening to music but definitely not for conference calls imo. I asked plantronics to send me poly 20 for testing.

I think the Calisto 7200 sounds more natural. But I appreciate other aspects of the Sync 20, like the better battery life.

Great video! I love how you got straight to the point! Best review vid on these speakerphones.
Thank you Manuel! I've learned (the hard way) that getting to the point quickly is key.
Thank you so much Markus! Great test with not too much bla bla. Exactly what I needed to know if the Poly Sync 20 is what I am going to purchase.
Thanks for watching!

@ I wish you could ! Your test comparison was great - but the 7200 is still the king until proven otherwise by the 40 !

@ still shows up as 200 but I'm happy with mine and got it off Ebay for 70. Great review. Appreciated.
impressive performance of Poly Sync 20, even from 5m distance. Thanks for the review.
Yes, I was surprised it worked that well!

Built-in microphone was quite good
Indeed! That's why I recommend that people get started with the gear they already have. Some of it may work better than expected!

Hello, the mic test of the sync 20, was performed with the speaker connected through usb cable or bluethoot?
Bluetooth for both of them.

Can you please compare the Anker Powerconf S3 as it is cheaper especially when discounted.
Great idea! It's not a device I have at the moment, but let's see what the future brings!
have tried it as a single user from about a meter away. the 7200 puts it to shame.
Can you tell me how this work with teams and zoom?
You connect the device to your computer or phone. The you select it as mic and speaker in your software.
I don’t think anything g will ever surpass the 7200. At least for a while. It’s battle proven.
It sure is!
Poly Sync. 20 is much better.
It's a great device indeed!
my poly sync 20 doesnt pick up my voice even at 2.5 meters. also doesnt connect to my mbp bluetooth. the software crashes on boot. total pos.
