    The thing that I am confused about in this video, is that when you were on your cell phone, with the mic directly pointed at you, maybe it was just me, but it sounded like 100x better than the poly... was that just me? Did anyone else "hear" the same thing?

      It's the Bluetooth audio/bandwidth transmitting limitation, causing the robotic voice. need to connect via USB

    • @EymertVersteegt
      @EymertVersteegt 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's because of "bluetooth". I have never heard any Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth speaker that gave decent voice quality. Tha's where the BT600 dongle of the "plus" version comes in. Not sure if BT600 uses another wireless codec or some Poly-proprietary codec, but voice via that dongle is 1000x better than over 'just bluetooth'.

    I'm disappointed with mine. The Teams button brings Teams window to the front, but nothing else, so its pretty useless. If you connect it via Bluetooth to a PC (but not with their uberexpensive dongle) it refuses to enable/disable the microphone. One of my use cases was that I can carry the speaker during long conference calls. but it is useless if I can't mute/unmute. epic fail

      Thanks for watching and providing your feedback! The Sync 20+ sounds like it would have been best for you as it includes the USB dongle (definitely and investment). Without it as you mentioned the experience will be less than ideal.

      I got the Sync 20 (without the dongle) as it was the only one available to me at the time. The sound quality is not ideal, and I've had some complaints from my students. The sound quality doesn't seem to improve when it is connected to the laptop by the cable. Why do they sell it without the dongle if it doesn't work very well?

    Hi @headsetadvisor - so the basic difference between 20 & 20+ is the bluetooth connectivity dongle provided in 20+? If my laptops are bluetooth enabled/supported then 20 is enough? or does 20+ have any additional features? Thanks in advance

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you plan to connect with a computer the 20+ with the USB Dongle is recommended for the best audio and most reliable connection.

    I am using Voyager 5200 UC. I already have BT600 usb.
    Should I buy 20 MS Team? Can I use this BT600 with this poly sync?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The BT600 will only work with one device at a time. So technically you could have one BT600 for the 5200 UC and another BT600 for the Sync 20 and switch between both devices.

    I returned the Poly Sync 20+ as it kept cutting out. People said the sound was great but after a week people on meetings said I was cutting in and out, and it got worse. Thankfully it was within my return period. Really disappointed as all the reviews were good. Now I don't know which one next - I need something good for Webex calls.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor

      I believe up to 5 devices but don't quote us on that. Note that the Sync can be connected to multiple devices at the same time and switches to the device that is last to output audio without having to be re-paired.

  • @patty109109

    I just received this. Not sure if something is wrong but...as a music speaker it's a big disappointment. It is inferior to the $20 Oontz Angle I bought many years ago. It's got bass, yes, but it is not crisp at all. It sounds like playing low-compression audio. This is running through USB to my laptop. I'll give it another shot with Bluetooth and see if it sounds better.

    Keyboard typing noises can be reduced?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're typing right in front of the speakerphone, most likely the keyboard noise will be picked up but should be reduced. Otherwise, we'd highly recommend getting this software to go with the speakerphone to remove most the background noise, like keyboard typing. th-cam.com/video/n6l431KSZt0/w-d-xo.html

      Got poly sync 20+. It is not a "M" version. Having issues connecting with teams with UBS and BT dongle as well to teams. If connected via bluetooth, the voice breaks when taking calls from skype in VM. and also the speaker is not quite good if the audio of the other person over call is low. It should be able to support more higher volume for the amount spent on this. Overall, this is good only when in a very very quite place like in a closed room and the audio quality of call is good. Else it is of no use :( Please do advice if there is any other speaker available other than jabra which supports teams

    Sound quality of your voice is better through the Poly than your regular microphone... With your regular microphone you sound very roomy, the Poly cuts that.

  • @SeattleRingHunter
    @SeattleRingHunter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How well will the microphones pickup a single person if you wall mount it below a monitor at a typical cubical desk? For example if you mount it vertically against the thumb tack board and the speaker grill is aimed straight at you as a single user.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor

    I stopped watching the video. Here are the reasons:
    My inner monk cried already, when you carelessly threw away the manual and packaging over your shoulder. you may want to look cool, but that's just care- and respectless.
    Then i jumped to your sound test.
    The choice of song is horrible. You need to show
    - what speech sounds like
    - what different music styles sound like (especially music styles with actual harmonic sound waves, for example, classical music, rock, pop, etc., you CAN also have that clubstuff you had, but i don't think people who buy that kind of equipment are interested to listen to this music with this speaker. it's just not made for this)
    You NEVER have a soundtest with sound on max. Do you usually listen to everything on max?
    There are additional vibrations in the desk and the device itself that add up.
    Always have it on 30-50%.
    I hope you see my comment as objective feedback. Have a nice day.
