Henry is the MAN!
I live vicariously through young men! You give me hope for the mankind!
Thank you Tom
Henry is an absolute treasure!
He is
You're going to need a bigger fuel tank motor sailing around the World 😂
We wish but we actually prefer sailing, its just that we have so much to do in a short space of time that we need the motor, especially when going upwind into the waves
Raising the IOM flag…recorder playing…hilarious….proud of you boys…more young people should be doing this
Thanks for the merch lads! Repping the hoodie to the gym and watching the mish whilst on the bike 🔥 OYZ is life ❤
Yes the Neeeeee!!!
Didn't think you were gonna make it lads 😮 forgive me for doubting OYZ 🙏👍👌 brilliant vid GET SOME 👏👏👏👏👏
All is forgiven, geeeeet some Mark!
Thanks the TH-cam suggestion, I’ve just found your channel, and wow! What an epic journey. I loved everything about this; the authenticity, the energy, and the sense of adventure. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey. Sail safe, and wishing you fairer winds for your onward adventures
Thanks mate! Means the world to get comments like this, welcome aboard! 🧡
LEGENDS! You guys are such a great team and continue to challenge yourselves. Thanks for the awesome entertainment and Cheers from Washington!
Thanks so much champ! 🧡
Incredible effort all round lads. Tough to keep moral up on a passage like that. Cobo absolutely bossed the green as well. Blue Spurr answering questions every day of the week. Get up the boys
Yes mate, you always know the crack 🔥🔥🫡
You guys will have many more nights at sea, some easy some trying, but the places you will be going will make it all worthwhile
We look forward to it!
Great to see you young guys out sailing and learning from doing, just a tip if you’re trying to fix something like the loose Genoa you can always turn around and run for a while, it will make it easier on the guy up on deck
Thanks mate, much appreciated 🧡
I didn’t remember Storm Betty we must have stayed at home for that one, we sailed to Peel the following weekend and it was fairly wild then too, looking forward to seeing more videos, safe travels
Great video guys well done, ye can’t beat being in the pilot house in that weather 👌 I’ve got a motorsailor, ketch aswell, I love mine proper tank ⛵️ I brought her up from south wales to northwales to in October very similar weather, horrible swell, I managed to run out of fuel and have my rig break 😅 she’s about to get rerigged once done Isle of Man is my first new destination👌⛵️
Unreal mate, the motorsailor ketch combo is too good. Whats the make of yacht that you have?
@@OutsideYourZone it’s a coaster 33, very similar to yours with aft cabin, long keel with 4ft draft, canoe back also, she took a beating getting her up 😅 feels solid in heavy weather 👌🌊⛵️
I love you guys - so full of a sense of adventure. If you're ever in Dartmouth give me a shout - it would be great to have you all over to my boat for a bear or two and to visit the Blue Spur! Godspeed for all your travels!!!
Sounds great! We will let you know 🧡
Yesss!! Love ittt! Git uup the green Alex face 😂. Man that was a major mish! Absolute belter 👌😊
Belter mate
Best video yet boyz! Gnarly as, love the team spirit. Second to none.
Yes mate cheers for that! ❤️
Some mish lads. Brought my Hurley 27 from Largs to Strangford Lough in 2022 so this brought back some memories. Remember having the tide against us with no wind near Ailsa Craig and felt like we were never going to lose sight of it motoring along.
Aye it some place up there. Strangford is on our bucket list mate one day we will visit!
Now that a brutal passage bro's
But you knocked it off all intact .
Cheers from New Zealand
Cheers🧡
Well done boys best video yet keep them coming
Ha ha I know what falling to the green is like feeding the fish!
Well done lads.
Some top tips guys,
1- more main halyard tension creases from the mast sliders backwards means more halyard tension.
2- Get some main sail battens it will stop the flapping on the leach and get some more usable power.
3- use the leech line when reefed to stop the flapping and increase usable power.
4- If you have the Genoa out having some Mizzen sail up will balance the boat. If you have a roll in the Genoa then a reef in the Mizzen to match.
Hope this helps.
Dream big and you will do it.
Some great advice that we are sure to take on board! Thanks mate 🧡
Well done chaps absolutely fantastic its really great watching your channel and very entertaining, keep um coming.
Thanks Malcolm! 🧡
Your more than welcome.@@OutsideYourZone
Quality showing from you all! Well in!
Cheers bro
Great effort!
Thank you! Cheers!
Aw lads that was fkn awesome btw, gave me the FEAR thinking about a night sail FFS, I've messed about the Clyde on inshore waters on little sibs and that was Outside My Zone enough lol, have since sold all sibs off as too much hassle and now have one wee RIB on driveway, a Narwall with old 40hp Evinrude, last trip Large to Ailsa Craig and thankful back lol, that to me was epic enough 😅
That sounds like an epic mission Andrew mate, Ailsa Craig certainly is something to behold! Hopefully one day we can be out on the Clyde with you in the ribs! All the best 🧡
Amazing! Well done boys you’re smashing it! I lived in peel not long ago, beautiful place and the locals are spot on 👌🏻
Nice one!

That’s what we’re here for!
Alright lads, great vids, keep them going and keep it safe. Watched the live in the boat yard the the other night. Its great craic and often doing the same myself in the boatyard on mine. It's good to see young lads having a go, getting the graft done and following your dreams and living the dream. Anyway, what are the shoes you wear around the boats, are they crocs and can you recommend them ? I'm after some like that but can't find them. Let me know please.
Love the Cumbrian craic also, lived there for 10 yrs so the lingo make me laugh. OYZ OYZ !!
Thanks for the comment mate! Means the world when people enjoy out craic 🧡 the shoes are called quacs, it’s a small business so make sure you let them know we sent you if you end up buying some! We think they’re great
Respect Henry lad ❤

Epic video lads. Somehow I'd unsubscribed, so been catching up. You're all braver than me. Those waves would have been getting a round of applause from my arse cheeks haha. Cheers for the Shorey Life shout out Sam. Looking forward to the future vids. O Y Z 👍 👌
Get up! ⬆️
OYZ! We made it back to blighty our dark crossing was a mill pond compared to this vid. Git up!
Let’s go the boys! Glad it was an easy run
Great trip lads. Rough one too 😮 sorry I missed you at the boat show, work got in the way 😂
Thanks Gary! And no worries, I’m sure there will be other opportunities. 6th of April on Whitehaven if you want to see us off on our mission!
Well done boys, bit hairy, braver than me!

We are in sunny Whitehaven!!
@@OutsideYourZone Happy days! Have fun! If you return to the IOM (no doubt you wont) come explore the southern towns like Castletown, Port St Mary, Port Erin and Derbyhaven! Safe travels
need a drone for the rough weather. Is the motor always going?
Naah not all the time, only when we are on a tight time schedule
Wait.. what happened to dude in the dinghy?
Check out this video mate 😂
th-cam.com/video/ffzKsN_9DxA/w-d-xo.html
Thanks!! You boys are amazing! Live your dreams!
I want to buy a hoddie
You kind find the hoodies at outsideyourzone.shop 🧡
Not a good idea to be towing your dinghy You could easily lose it of a night time Stow it on deck or get some davits. just one more thing you don’t have to keep checking on one fantastic adventure you done well
Thanks mate! The original camper and nicholsons had winches but ours was taken off before we bought the Blue Spurr. Appreciate the advice as planned to not tow the dinghy on passages
@@OutsideYourZoneuse the spinnaker. halyard as the lifting cable, tie it to the bridle on the Dinghy and that’s how to get her up on deck easy like.
Spot on Mat cheers
27 hours coaches
Please dont tow your tender on a rough sea..,.its might capsized and you might lost your outboard engine......
Cheers mate 🫡
This is fine, but what's the story? I want to know how a group of kids (no offence) have the finances to be doing this? I was moored aboard in Holy Loch the night before and it was hairy - wasn't really a great idea to go out inro the north channel so soon after IMO. In the longer term I think there might be tears before bedtime. I'd also want something better than an old Garmin 172 (I have one myself) - where's the Navionics?
There will be a vid explaining all that very soon so dont worry my good bard
We all pool our resources from working hard, there will be a video soon with a lot more context!
Also the team are in their mid-late 20s. Many didn’t go to uni and all have been working their entire life. Took some hard greft to get here but we’re here. Get on the patreon if you want to support and find out more. In the meantime enjoy the vids.
Plus if you want us to get better gear - then buy some merch or donate on buy me a coffee. Pls don’t assume that just cos we’re young we haven’t worked hard for what we’ve got and put everything into this.
@@OutsideYourZone More strength to you then. And I'll look forward to the explanatory vid.
you keep saying 9 bells 9pm 9am is 2 bells
Church bells coach
Record breaking, balls of steel? You whimps are motor sailing in real full sail weather.
Cheers Rob 🌒 don’t forget to check out the merch at outsideyourzone.shop
Enjoyed the video! Re. ships bells:
"Unlike civil clock bells, the strikes of a ship's bell do not accord to the number of the hour. Instead, there are eight bells, one for each half-hour of a four-hour watch"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship%27s_bell
Interesting, we’ll have to keep this in mind! 🧡
noticed someone made a comment about towing your dinghy, I nearly came unstuck when the weather picked up and my dinghy was starting to snatch, I decided to jump in and lift the 6hp outboard off the transom to centralise the weight, the wind had gone from 10 to 25 kn in about 5 mins and the flatish sea became a sharp 1M breaking set. The rope holding the dinghy to the boat was quite heavy but it parted. thankfully my very temperamental outboard decided to start and my crew gave me a lee to get back aboard, scary with the boat trying to role onto me but managed. never tow like that if you want to keep your dinghy & expensive outboard. also, the flag pole is a pot ender (crab/lobster pots) never sail over them I was in a 60ft trawler and we got caught up on one and the rope didn't snap despite the size of our engine & prop we were inshore and only about four sets out from the scar with heavy breaking seas, we came adrift with two or three pots round the prop just as the life boat turned up, so be warned and stay away.
Sounds stressful as owt, thanks for the advice matey 🧡
