A likely tornado moved through the Southern edge of Janesville causing damage to dozens of homes. The video of the wall cloud and rotation were recorded 1mi east of I39/90 on Racine St. The damage occurred just North of HWY 11 and West of I39/90 near Jackson Elementary School.

It sucks when the storm "hits home." I love Janesville and do most of my work there. If the tornado was much farther north, the damage would have been a lot worse.
So sad for anyone who had damage or might have been injured. It seems like these storms and tornadoes are getting worse and worse with global warming. We all need to do our part to stop our earth from warming.
@@amygilbert8429 this is not global warming. We haven't done anything to cause changes to the weather, unless you count the government spraying garbage in the upper atmosphere.

That's like the second time the Janesville area has gotten hammered this year.
Is this down by the main drag of the malls off of I-94? Horses further out going towards Beloit area?
This is the far Southside of janesville (along and south of Kellogg avenue). The (main drag) is milton ave with the mall and most stores on the northside. I have lived in this area for 37 years. Tornado spared my house and my neighbors but everything on the otherside of the street was damaged so some degree. The tornado started in the neighborhood off afton and tripping rd on the far southwest side of town on the west side of the river. Then tracked east along/north of avalon road. Damaged most of McFarland Pheasant farm and then got into the more populated south side of janesville (Kellogg and burbank Ave as the major west/east roads and then river rd, oakhill, center Ave, beloit Avenue as the major north/south roads).
I was grazed by the tornado, my room shook. I was terrified
Edit: My backyard is destroyed, electric is still down.

It was an actual confirmed EF2 tornado, and it caused a massive amount of damage
@JE-wt6bi Like the trampoline bent and carefully draped over an electrical line, but neither the pole nor the electrical lines broke , sort of " damage " ? You think that's normal " tornado " damage ? Maybe you've watched different youtubes than I have about the damage in Janesville , but from what I've seen, that's definitely not " tornado " damage.

That’s a funnel cloud not a tornado! Notice how it’s above the tree line, and never touches the ground
it was lifting up when that video was taken, it was on the ground for most of the time, i dont think they want to do search and rescue when its still on the ground and can move in different directions
