Mark Speer's playing on this track, as with everything he plays on, is a masterclass in subtlety, restraint and touch.
I agonised over whether he's playing mostly around the A, D & G strings or the D, G & B strings. I settled on the latter because there are moments where certain notes are ringing together in a way that is quite difficult to execute with the thicker strings. I guess we'll find out where he's actually playing it once we see them play it live!

I've got my Ibanez (pickup, volume and tone info is in the video description) going into BIAS AMP 2.
Honestly, there's not much more to it than that. It's a black panel fender style amp. Gain, bass, middle, treble all on around 7 or 8. Presence on 6. Master 6.
A bit of tape delay.
LOTS of reverb. Some coming from the amp. A lot more coming from DAW plugins.

Question about your technique for some of those little runs. Are you strumming the string with your index finger?
Sorry for the slow reply! I've actually got a full lesson coming out soon.
Sometimes I alternate between thumb and a finger, sometimes I just my thumb. I don't think I ever JUST use my index.
