Man he’s the first in a while to really make a guitar sing.
Plini is incredible, whomever mixed this, did a phenomenal job!
That would be the gentleman with the bass, Mr Simon Grove.
Yeah the mix is unreal
@@jg043 it was him
Simon Grove is the mastermind behind the mix! That's the guy playing bass in the video
Better than the album, and that's saying something
"Warning: This video may potentially trigger seizures. Not because of the lights but because of the realization that the band sounds this good live."
😂spot on homie! Just saw em in SLC best show of my life! Got pics with all of em!
Headbang responsibly
Bullshit…! What a lie … you just want to attract more people. Ooo, let’s watch the epileptic drop.
@@DannyEye2704silent pit!
Came on autoplay while doing the dishes, thought for sure I was listening to a studio version of a song I hadn’t heard, see that it’s Plini live, brain implodes. God level musicianship wtf
after all these years, listening to Cascade still gives me chills!! Amazing piece!!
I love seeing Troy playing with Plini again. Talented drummer and such a nice guy too.
Simon Grove and Troy Wright!!! ABSOLUTE BEASTS
Unsung hero’s. So is Jake howsome lowe. He is a cleaner player than most of the bands he supports in my meaningless opinion.

Electric sunset is one of the most beautiful instrumental songs that I had ever listened in my entire life, the music has so much feeling but the story is the one that you choose to into those feelings and mine I can say it’s love, great job in every production, execution and composition.
Same here, so deep
This generation's Cliffs of Dover maybe?
The fact that Plini's pieces mostly sound improvised yet he manages to replicate them note for note live is just absolutely mindboggling. Definitely not the music for a casual listener, but the dreamy feel good vibe is aways there.
That's a pretty accurate description, the first Plini song that got me hooked was 'wombat astronaut' and that sounds so improvised, yet he plays in perfect unison with the synth and piano parts.
This may sound silly but I've recently realised the key to good improvisation is actually writing and repetition. You won't be able to play slick riffs like that in the moment until you can play them full stop. Once the technique is there and the flow kicks in, you end up with a mish-mash of all that you are as a musician (the only different is you won't know when it's happening until it happens). I'll bet some of this is purposely written, while other bits just fly out in the flow but then they get re-learned. It's kind of hard to describe the indescribable, but that's my best attempt!
I think it can go both ways. Most of the time I'd agree, you don't want to improvise techniques you don't have mastered, but other times, improving stuff out of left field can be how you create or learn new things.
I just experienced it the other day. I was on vacation and hadn't played in 10 days. My feet were a bit sloppy, and my timing wasn't the best but I started throwing out these crazy fills and new things from no where and I kinda wish I recorded it now.
Before that, I kind of was in a rut creatively on the drums. I was playing pretty well but my improv started to shit the bed
@@HugoStiglitz88 Yeah looking back on my comment, I wasn't entirely right. What you have said is also true.
I have played some of my best stuff without even thinking about how I did it at the time. It's a magical feeling!
@@mitiasmirnovmusicyeah learn jazz and the blues and how to play it with others and the pieces will start to become more apparent
What an experience
Their bassist is absolute fantastic
They all are. Drummer is unbelievable too.
They’re all unreal. Just phenomenally talented musicians.
Apart from Plini being amazing at what they do. The sound quality of this recording is next level. It's insane how much Live Music recording has improved.
yes that's what those digital units do, you can really create a mix ready sound and send this to recording while you play on a real amp for the show audience... I never understood the beef some people have with digital stuff, it sounds so great...
Got damn this mix along with everyone's amazing playing makes for one of the best live proformances i've seen
Agree! These guys are so underrated! Not sure why they don’t sell out larger venues in America.
Mix was done by the Bassist Simon
The mix was as incredible as the performance! 👌🏼
Tesseract also has some amazing in studio performance too.
Holy shit the bass 😯
This is the gnarliest set I’ve ever seen
This performance cured my depression.
Just want to say that while I don’t play Plini’s style of music at all, I love his tones so much that his was the first Neural DSP plug-in I ever bought
I own every DSP, and the plini is definitely the one i use the most myself. Lacks some of the "gimmicks" of the other dsps; but the three amps are such a wide range and cover basically anything. Nolly and SLO100 are monsters too if youre in the market for a 2nd one :)
It was my first too! Then Fortin Cali, Wong, Nolly, Petrucci, Henson, Rabea and Parallax. lol
Yes, me too. So inspiring.
TROY: MAN OF CONSITENCY AND DYNAMIC.
Plini and the band always sound amazing but the sound engineer behind this video should also get an award! What an AMAZING production! My ears are blessed.
performance, editing, production, mixing, mastering, composition, just everything 1,000,000 out of 10 EASY!
Thank you, Plini, for creating such a wonderful track. It takes me back to a time when I was facing challenges in life, reaching my lowest point. 'Electric Sunrise' played a crucial role in helping me persevere, inspiring me to keep pushing forward and ultimately choosing life. Your music has been a beacon of hope for me.
this is what a high-tech x high-budget studio will give you, perfect mixing
Troy back there tearing it up. Sounds amazing fellas, killer mix.
Oh is that a different drummer? He looks different but I didn't wanna assume
What an incredible piece!!! I'm hearing so many techniques and influences from AL Di Meola to Vai and Beck. Extremely talented guitarist.
Great to see Troy back!
Man I am honored to even know people who know people who know these musicians. this is insane.
Geeeeezus Christ, this is so, so good
Dude, I've been playing since I was 8 years old and I had a great career over three decades. This guy just makes me excited about music again. After what I've put myself through, I couldn't ever purchase, for any amount of money, inspiration.
Absolutely mind blowing. Been listening to Plini for years, but seeing and hearing it like this is otherworldly. Phenomenonal work, fellas.
So good to see Simon back in action, so good to see a full rhythm section with keys. What an amazing production! Thanks for this treat!
Thank you!
Handmade Cities is really inspired and melodic. My favorite of theirs.
electric sunrise, i'll thell you someday and cascade, the holly trinity of plini's music.
new rendition of the song and plini is my new generation guitar hero.really you are my hero.
13:25 that final bass solo almost breaked my neck
That bass sounds so good!!!!!!
Damn! Simon looks chiseled here
Getting into the Johnny Bravo look 🤣
I LOVE the subtle ghost notes that Troy incorporates. Gives the song a groovier vibe!
I saw him in Madrid when Handmade Cities album tour, and still one of the best performances ever seen by me live.
Simon Grove is a genius…
I'm glad to see Adam on drums and Simon on bass...
Great to see Troy back with the band!
Simon Grove is a master, this sounds phenomenal
What a work of art. Holy Mother!
Plini, you couldn't have someone better than Mr. Wright for the drums, my man is the perfect option to this for years.
the way that tight snare POPS, UGH!!!!!!
Unbelievably crisp and pristine playing and recording wow.
Simon, man you look fantastic!! Keep up whatever you are doing!
Incredible performance, and the production is unreal.
One of the longest video on TH-cam I have watched without a pause ❤Plini ❤ love from Goa
Plini+Troy+Simon=brutal. Crazy technique, feeling, punch... 10/10.
got the vinyl of this video the other night at his concert - amazing feels and gushy happiness !!
SO. DAMN. COOL.
So thankful that Plini exists. The music is incredible and this performance was awesome.
The OG plini lineup is back baby! Good to see Troy back
The fact that this was live is absolutely insane. It's tighter than a nun's ****.
Wait, this isn't a music video, its live?! But for real, as good as the band is, Simon Grove is a genius!
Troy Wright. Amazing
Holy smokes!!! This is totally amazing stuff. The drummer's foot is from another planet.
Just exciting when the drummer is Troy Wright 😎
Never expected that anyone could out-Zappa Zappa but Plini comes close
Absolutely love Plinis music
What an incredible guitar and musician 🎸🎼👌👌👌👍😎
Look at Troy, so inspirational man
Greetings from Poland. Plini, I wish you health and joy.
Makes my spine chill. Bring it on "the junior". Your brilliance is felt.
Tap solo on the bass? Heavy!!
this performance was so great I took a buzzsaw to all my headstocks
hearing this mixed music is like eating a very delicate and rich cake
I hope we get these to download on the QC app.
Amazing bro, electric sunrise, bring me flying to the sky..
I lay there intending to sleep and was absolutely mesmerized by this. A lot of virtuosity, technique, elegance and power in each plini lead... impressive. The rest of the companions were incredible ❤️
While they are amazing musicians, the person who mixed this 🔥🔥
Fantastic video, great drummer also!
Troy Wright!!2023 is my year
I want to believe a quad cortex will make me sound like Plini so bad.
Is that a hi hat on the very right side?? That's bad ass if it is. Gives me major groovy vibes!!!
These dudes are from another planet. I wish I was born there! x
I've been obsessed with Plini ever since I came across them in 2019 can't get enough. Layers on layers :)
Love it.
This is the future of music.
Cascade sounds just like the album, it’s nuts
Holy moly. As good as almost being hard to believe it’s live. In fact, it would have been crazy good even if it was a studio record.
Mix is not like a mix, I can hear everything, every bit of single sound happening.
Thunder from Down under!!!
This is the best live mix and playing I've heard - ever?
Agreed. Just saw Plini last week at the Fine Line in Minneapolis, and the mix was like this, just about perfect. Tesseract Portals is also one of the best live mixes I've ever heard.
Thank you David Gilmour for so much music...❤
I would dearly love to see Plini live. This helps. xoxo
Plini,I hope you keep composing.
this live version is more sicker....mixing and mastering 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Genius whenever I stuck his songs always gives me an idea
Not sure what to say. Speechless! 🫶🏻
Dis go hard af
❤️
I'll Tell You Someday touches me beyond words.
You know when you watch with a frown on your face just cos you can't understand why you're listening to something so good...
Yeah, that.
This song would be an epic CorOS 2.0 announcement…forreal though when I knew QC was good enough for Plini and Intervals I knew it was good enough for me and that makes me warm inside
Oh, everything just hits so different in a live setting. Awesome session!
It’s rare that I like a newer artist (Gen X here) but this group is REALLY good… ala Tool, Yes, Rush, ELP, king Crimson, Dream Theater… digging it!
Karnivool
If you're not finding new music that you love, you're not trying hard enough :-)
I'm an old guy, too. Love the stuff you referenced above, but there's great music out there from every era, including this one. You just have to wade through the muck to find it.
Super ....😍
Troy is back again... my most famous band!
gokiiillll 🔥🔥👩🚒👩🚒
Love the freshness & heavyness combined! Great energy & creativity 🔥
Thank you for this MV! It's amazing, I was in seizure mode, though I closed my eyes. I love everything about these 3 songs!
Best sound engineering I've heard since Herbie Hancocks: The Joni Letters.
I saw they were touring with Periphery and so glad they came through on my feed.
This song gave me freaking superpowers ,it’s so unnatural that I’m on air
Always loved the anamorphic look! 👌👌👌
