Lee is the perfect example of a goated character that was terribly underutilized. Dude had like two whole canon fights and both of them were some of the best in the series.
He’s the fucking Jackie Chan of Naruto. It’s actually so criminal him and might guy don’t have more screen time in general. Such a waste of potential man
Lee very much had main character potential in him. A child outcast, working with a handicap of no ninjutsu, trains harder than everyone else in the room, and had more speed and power than even most jonin during this fight. To this day, I’m mad that kishimoto just benched him. He could have at least made him a right hand man of Naruto like Shikamaru was.
@@MujonaTaiyoI really don't think so but hopefuly I'm wrong, they should make his design in Boruto Two Blue Vortex a lot better too, dude looked like he was on crack
Not even close. One he could only open the 5th gate, so no he didnt have the 8th gate. And Two, Even according to Guy who had all the faith in the world about Lee said it was his best chance of beating Neji. Not that he would beat Neji with it. Meaning according to the Taijutsu Master of the 8 Gates Might Guy, it would have been a toss up 5th gate lee vs Neji.
The thing that pisses me off is that if Lee went up against literally ANY other contestant, he would’ve made it to the next round with barely any effort. Getting the one dude that nobody in the entire village could stop was just unfair as hell. Forget Naruto’s shadow clone tricking ass, THIS was the moment where Neji found out he was wrong.
You know damn well that Lee wouldn't have survived and had enough time to flee and activate the Gates against Neji (depleting his chakra too), duking it out. Shino too and his draining bugs were crazy.
@@dusk6159lee could have blitzed shino since there is no way to hide, also we all know neji would let lee open the gates while talking about some fate shit
@dusk6159 Shino's bugs need time to work, and largely are effective against opponents who play at range. You know, everyone but Lee. Lee on the otherhand is full aggro, and would likely rush Shino down before the bugs had a chance to tire Lee out.
I think it's worth mentioning since no one ever says it. Gaara's at full power, dude was laid back for a week while everyone was in the woods, fighting and surviving. Lee showed up probably half a day to a day before this fight, after getting tinnitus and getting kicked around a bit. Lee really showed everyone up anyways.
To be honest Gaara making it through the forest the way he did was a feat in of itself man broke the record for fastest time finished and you have to remember this was the same exam prodigies Itachi and Minato took and Gaara broke their record without a single bruise on him on top of him finishing a B rank mission with out a scratch that boy was a menace upon his intro
@@gravidasonlineenaw he knocked the sand armor off, gaara said as much. He had nothing left. The writer had to personally intervene and say "oh, uhhh he survives this." 😂
It's really crazy how this is essentially Lee's best fight in the entire series. And he doesn't get any more shining moments after this. Sure, you could argue his fight against Kimimaro, but let's face it. This was Lee's peak in all of Naruto and afterward. He and everyone else pretty much gets sent to the bench for good.
Exactly. 8 gates is really also a perfect final move. If the 8th gate didn't outright kill him with one use, more so he could only like use it 3 times before he absolutely couldn't fight anymore in his life, then it would be just as great as KMC naruto
@@Blackoutdmcit wasn't jealousy lmao. Bro just cant fathom working in favoring someone else simply just because. Bro come from a town where ppl aren't as foregoing. Shit was conflicting his demons
9:57 - This was it for me. This was the moment that solidified Rock Lee as my favorite character in Naruto forever. Even knocked unconscious and with a crushed leg *he got back up!*
People always wanna bring up the "Lee taking off his weights" but that scene of him getting up, bloody, with a malfunctioning arm and leg, and UNCONSCIOUS is hard af bro. Shoulda gave him the win for that alone
At 2:58 I just realized this fight wasn't a 1v1 not a 2v1 but a basically a whole ass 3v1 since gaara has shukaku inside him AND his mother protecting him with sand bro rock lee basically got jumped 😂
Shukaku did nothing. The automatic sand shield is an ability from his mother. Gaara attacked on his own at times like when he crippled Lee then walked away with no damage like nothing happened. 😈
Something I adore about Gaara's character design at this stage of the anime is just how young they make him look, even compared to his peers. He's a little guy with a baby face and clothes three sizes too big. He has the looks and mindset of a stunted child and it all comes together beautifully in this fight. The blind panic and confusion on Gaara's face after Lee loses the weights really paints him like a scared kid in the dark. He gets a little bit out of his comfort zone and he's instantly frightened until he finds the upper hand again. All the way up to this, he was a cold, aloof monster but in that moment you can see his defenses are (literally) down. And Lee is Gaara's perfect foil as well. Red/Green. Lee is ever moving while Gaara stays still. Lee has to put his whole body on the line while Gaara remains protected. Lee's practiced for years to master his technique while Gaara has been carried since birth. Then at the end, Gaara was able to walk away while Lee, barely holding on, still had the will to stand and keep fighting. In every way but on paper, Lee won that fight. I wish that the show really spent more time developing the dynamic between these two over the similarities between Naruto and Gaara, but I guess once junchiriki started getting fleshed out in Shippuden, it was inevitable. I was hoping there would be a moment in the Kazekage Rescue arc where Lee would get to show off and return the favor to Gaara for helping him with Kimimaro but it wasn’t meant to be... 😔
No he didn't. What you all seem to forget is that Gaara was told not to go all out in the one v ones. Gaara winning the fight was a forgone conclusion it was just how much are we letting the Leaf see during it. Lee did nearly no damage to Gaara and that was his BEST and Gaara gets up and walks off with no injuries. This fight was meant to show that even if Lee was super impressive compared to all the other ninja we knew at the time. Gaara was far more impressive. Gaara vs Lee is the answer to what happens when the fastest man alive meets the immovable object... the answer? Splat thats what happens. If Lee met Gaara in the forest of death, Lee would have been dead nearly instantly because Gaara was not told to hold back and its why he has the record for the fastest time through the forest. Because Gaara was let loose to do as he liked in the forest, in the one v ones he had to behave. They where waiting on the signal.
@@TheLastSane1 Respectfully, I disagree. Gaara already had that moment to show that he wasn't to be messed with in the Forest of Death when he solo curbstomped an entire squad from the Hidden Rain village. He killed the leader in combat then went on to murder his teammates who had already. To show this again would be redundant, so the writer focused on something else here. Up until the fight began, Gaara had been treated by the story as completely untouchable, even his siblings thought as much. But what Lee showed with his speed is that is anything but the case. His sand is an incredible defense, yes, but hits can still be landed for those quick enough. Lee just didn't have enough force to break the armor. That's why Sasuke copied from Lee in the Finals, so much so that Gaara recalled their similar speed. This fight wasn't to show that Lee was nothing next to Gaara, it was to display the weakness in Gaara's jutsu and his childlike mindset. Lee's character exemplifies one of the most prominent themes of the OG Naruto--the value of hard work. The show takes the time to tell us that Lee started from nothing, then worked himself to the bone to get good at taijutsu. Compared to him, Gaara would be one of the "geniuses" like Neji. A person blessed with a natural ability that greased the wheels for them to get where they are. Technically, Gaara walked away from this fight with no injuries. Up to that point he had never been injured in his life, after all. But Lee's passion and indomitable will made him stand even on a crushed leg. It befits the determination of his character and in that moment, the respect of the spectators and the audience goes to Lee. It's not a "which of them is stronger" kind of win. It's a narrative one, rounded out after Naruto (another character who started with nothing) beats Lee's "genius" rival Neji in his stead.
@@sammyi2505 not accurate though. Lee proved he was never ready to be chuunin in that he was all too willing to use the jutsu that would cripple him. Even had he won the fight he would have had to forfeit the next round and retire his muscles and bones were ripping and splintering with the 3rd gate on. He was never winning that fight because all gaara had to do was outlast him. Lee is talented for sure but Lee was also a candle burning it’s wick at both ends
@@TheLastSane1 To my recollection, that is misleading. Every step of Lee's battle, he always asked Guy-sensei if he could escalate his attempts and waited for approval. Guy was behind him all of the way and approved everything from the weight removal to the Reverse Lotus. Kakashi even commented on how Guy was going too far with Lee and Guy later recognized that his favoritism and fervor to see Lee succeed clouded his judgment. Lee never rashly jumped to the idea of using the Gates without approval. He trusted his sensei as any student would, so the fault went squarely on Guy who both taught and approved him using a technique his body wasn't ready to use at the time.
@@sammyi2505 Guy is 100% at fault too. But I meant more that Lee should have also known that the damage done to his body was not a possibility but an assured thing. There was gonna be a cost to trying to beat Gaara in this match. Truthfully Guy should have never allowed it because it was simple a match, not a fight.
Gaara trying to kill Lee in the hospital is so tense. And it helps the story so well. Gaara doesn't understand why Guy saved Lee, and why everyone cared so much about him. That's part of what opened the door for Naruto to disect him later. Gaara was jealous of the love people had for Lee. It's crazy to think Lee was supposed to die, and so many emotional story beats would be missing from the rest of the show.
Can we talk about the Sasuke vs Gaara fight afterward cause I think it's one of the biggest bullshit moments in Naruto. How the hell did Sasuke copying Lee's movements (when he had the weights on) mean he could now fold Gaara? That doesn't make any sense no matter how you look at it. Not only did Sasuke copy the moves of a slower Lee but also how would this work anyway? I can copy Usain Bolt's movements does that mean I'd be just as fast as him? Even if Sasuke copied Lee's movments their bodies should be ocmpletly far apart this is bullshit.
@@balmung7599 Yeah and Lee was applying it to Naruto too and Naruto believed him. After this very fight Naruto says "I thought you said we could win!" In regards to Lee saying that hard work beats talent.
As far as I know, Kishimoto loved what he created with Lee and Gai and hoped that someday they'd allow him to make a sup-show that focused just on them, but sadly it got denied. I guess, he tried to show the studios that Lee is a really interesting character, but he had to bury him and needed to make Naruto more interesting instead ... which ... well, he never became as cool as Lee was here, let's be real. Even Sage-Mode and KSM, which were pretty cool, couldn't reach what Rock Lee was here in classic ... sad life
Rock Lee's Recovery side story was one of the most suspenseful experiences of the series to me to have a huge payoff in his return fight. Since you did Rock Lee vs. Gaara, you gotta follow up with his teacher, mentor, and role model, Might Guy vs. Madara at some point.
@@coltspacerfan Most of it is stills/ panning shots with the occasional movement. The fight choreography is not there. Honestly, I'm surprised you're saying this after seeing how clean/fluid Lee vs Gaara is.
I'll never forget the first time i saw Lee's body get up out of pure will and guy holding him. Bro got robbed by life itself but used it to push him further. Mad respect 🔥.
Lee rocked his ass too hard, he had to get that street cred in the Sand. And lets be real, someone beats you THAT hard, you ain't taking no chances of him getting up again. Gaara knew he'd be cooked if Lee was up and at 'em and looking for his get back.
@@gcullen576 Looks like you're new to the battle shonen genre then. Ichigo, Luffy, Itadori, Denji yeah these guys definitely work the hardest 😂 Lee using taijutsu for every single fight would be boring asf, that's why Lee and Guy's battle are few and far between, y'all know nothing about constructing an interesting story
8:40 remember Neji is watching Lee use that move knowing, because Lee said as much, that *Lee was saving that for him* Lee was saving this RAGING DEMON ASS-WHOOPING for Neji who is probably thinking "how the fuck do I beat that? He's beating fucking auto-block, HOW DO I BEAT THAT?!"
Nah man, he’s not bitch made like vegeta, bro literally started crying when things didn’t go his way. He tried to turn tail when a penetrated krillin was trying to put the hands on frieza (key word “trying”)
Lee went so hard that when Sasuke did this to Gaara you could see the trauma flashbacks in the man's eyes. Truly everything changed when Lee dropped the weights.
The thing people have to remember is, Gaara was told not to kill anyone in the One v Ones unless it couldn't be avoided because they were waiting on the signal. They didn't want him disqualified or being watched too closely by the village when the signal hit. Its why his siblings rushed him out of the arena when it happened, get him away so he could unleash that monster inside of him. So imagine if Lee had met Gaara in the forest where killing was 100% allowed. Lee dies almost instantly.
Words cannot describe 10 year old me watching this for the first time on toonami. Core memory AF. Gaara and Rock Lee are both some of my favorite characters but you can guess, I was Rock Lee all the way. He deserved more screentime for real!
Same. I remember watching this live and literally crying. We didn't know he was just gonna get his limbs destroyed, so when Gaara threw the sand at Lee at the very end, I really thought I was about to watch my favorite character die. It was tense. Shino and Kiba set the tone when they said "No. Not another nightmare." The *whole* fight, there was a legitimate threat of death for Lee that only we the audience knew. So when Gaara went for that final sand coffin, I was fully breaking down. And then Guy jumped in and made us all cry. And then Lee *stood the fuck up*! What an intense emotional rollercoaster that fight was. And at 10 years old 😂😂
100% people who weren't there for it will never, ever, ever understand what peak Toonami was like. Tom and his ship, the premiere of most of these anime in English back when there were no streaming websites (Just bad Kazaa subbed bootlegs on dialup internet). Some of these shows you went over a friend's house and watched live together cause most people you knew were hyped.
Prior to that fight, I genuinely didn't care about Lee's character, but after those weight dropped to the ground kicking all that dust, I was hyped as hell for Lee
I still over how despite how old this fight is many people in the Naruto fandom rate this as one of the top 5 best fights in the series and it was this fight that made lee so popular he'd get his own spinoff
I like how Gaara immediately teleported to the ground but before his match with Sasuke in the final rounds, mans took his SWEET time walking all the way to the arena.
I'm telling you to this day Rock Lee got robbed. He was out here folding Gaara and only lost cause Gaara pulled that sand cushion out his ass at the last second. The Leaf really was out here rigging the Chuunin Exams I swear to god. They made sure Gaara, Sasuke and Neji getting to the final exam was lightwork. Thankfully Lee made Gaara have to live with the fact that he's only in the finals cause the plot demanded it.
That sand cushion was bs. The impact from the hidden lotus alone should have done more damage than the impact of Gaara hitting the ground without a sand cushion
It dont even make sense. Yeah, maybe he cushioned the last fall, but all that other shit, all those other hits. You cant tell me that thin sand crust prevented Gaara's brain from becoming whipped cream. That boy was not just unconcious, that boy was dead. It was an ass pull for Gaara to still be able to fight back.
Kishimoto even set it up because Guy told Lee there was something up with the gourd. If Lee had dedicated a few hits to the gourd while he was bashing his ass it would've been a wrap.
@@3Rayfireit's been a fat minute since I watched Naruto so I don't remember but is the gourd anything special besides holding his sand? Because if that's it then that doesn't change much, he can just control the sand off the ground
You know, I feel Rock Lee better embodies the show's message about hard work and dedication and think he could have been the main character. The show could have been called "Leaf Hurricane" or something, which not only sounds cool but could also have different meanings. For example, he is in the Leaf Village, so the title could shoutout where he is from. Leaf Hurricane is a move he does. Also, it could be that people are calling him a leaf hurricane, which would be a fitting name for someone that wears green and can run in a circle so fast that it kind of just looks like the wind is forming a circle like a hurricane does. 🥬🌪
The theme was never really hard work more like never giving up. Which Lee still embodies but other characters like Naruto embody it pretty well too, in different ways. Lee def shoulda been one of the most important characters in shippuden. They hoed him.
@@bean-charlieartz3138No Lee’s story makes him the perfect side character which he is. As a main character, we need someone with the Ninetails inside them
There are many contenders for “best choreographed fight in anime”, such as Majin Vegeta vs Goku, Naruto vs Sasuke, All Might vs Noumu, Fuhrer Bradley vs his own army, Saitama vs Boros, but I can’t get over how HYPE this fight is. The iconic frames of Rock Lee kicking Gaara into the air, or tying him up and pile driving him into the ground, or Rock Lee dropping the weights. This fight is incredible and I think stands toe to toe with the best fights of all anime.
Had him having flashbacks during that fight and everything. Lee really shattered Gaara’s entire mindset. Then Sasuke took it up a notch and hit him wit Chidori😂
I like how Gai and his taijutsu are basically a counter to everything in Narutoverse. They introduce Gaara, a super powerful kid that could even beat adult jonins and Lee with Taijutsu learnt from Gai was beating the hell out of Gaara. Then you have Itachi, who easily defeated Kakashi, telling Kisame to not understimate Gai and then he ran away. Fast forward to Madara with 10 tail powers and a rinnegan, he was getting beaten right to left and he almost died. If it wasn't for the plot Madara would've died.
Man, Rock Lee was something else; he had no magical eyes or demon fox, but he had that DAWG in him; we can´t just clap for bro, we gotta do some push ups and hit the gym to honor him 🏋♂💪
They really did my boy Lee dirty, no one put the effort like he did, and he had some of the best fights in the whole series. All of that just to get thrown away.
6:47 Any time I saw Lee bust out the reverse lotus I never once thought the fight was over, that shit is like the Final Flash whenever it gets used you can promise that it's going to catch *_zero_* bodies
When I was watching this series for the first time in college, this fight was what cemented Naruto as one of my favorite shonen ever. It was raw as all hell. And then the ending of this fight proceeded to have me shouting “Justice for Rock Lee!” at my iPhone screen, because the way Kishimoto did that boy was just unfair, man.
And that's what made me not like Naruto. They didn't give this man what he deserved. Had me pissed as hell the whole series and I just stopped liking it even tho I stuck with it all the way to the end. Not a single thing made me love that show after that shit😭
Goku going SS for the first time, John Wick digging up his attache case of pistols and coins, and Rock Lee dropping those weights will forever be......that gas
I remember when this episode first came out and everyone in my high school was talking about how hype it was. It’s been over 17 years and I still get hyped watching it.
@ThatRipOff dude was on the ground and about to be reduced to ashes by a single truth seeker orb if naruto didn't step in😂 Wtf you mesn by get up and do it again? You sure madara is gonna sit there and laugh and not using any moves like he did the first time vs guy?
Its been a while since I’ve watched Naruto…But this one I remember from my childhood and Ill never forget it! Seeing Lee drop those weights like a Dad who just picked up groceries after picking the kids up from school, Never fails to put a nerdy grin on my face~
@@shorewall What's funny is that Gaara becomes a lot more rational and talkative somewhere after his fight with Lee. I don't remember the details fully, so i may be wrong here, but it seems to me Lee literally knocked some sense into Gaara 😄.

imagine seeingthe guy you think is lightwork whip this out, and then hearing them say they were saving this whole bag for _you_ in particular. that's how it felt to be neji right then.
I knew something was off about Lee when he almost fought Sasuke. When this man put the hurt on Gaara (who ended lives in the forest), I was shocked. Gaara was so humbled, he put Lee in an edit and shattered the poor kid's leg and arm.
No he didn't. Did you actually read this or watch the anime not just edits online? Because Gaara got up and walked away from this under his own power perfectly fine. He had no lasting physical injury from this. And lets be clear, Gaara was holding back because he was not in bloodlust mode from the offset here. Mostly because killing in the one v one was not allowed like it was in the forest. Gaara was surprised by Lees speed and strength because no one he had ever fought had used just Taijutsu before, or been as proficient in it. We have seen several attempts on Gaara's life and almost all used stealth to sneak attack him which is what he was used too. The straight forward attacks were a surprise because he hadn't dealt with them before as its not a very shinobi thing to do.
Almost fought Sasuke? He totally fought him. Got tried of being whipped by Neji so he decided to pick on a rookie genius to make himself feel better. Even tried to use a forbidden move to piledrive Sasuke head first into the floor potentially crippling or killing him. Despite being a Konoha ally who did nothing to him. Ironic how that same move failed on Gaara who in turn crippled him. Then Sasuke beat Gaara with Lee's own moves & the Sharingan he mocked as Lee watched. Karma.
If Lee faced anyone else, they would've been packed up from the primary lotus alone. Lee was about to do that to Sasuke with weights on and without activating the first gate. Think about that. Those moves were a hard counter to Neji's gentle fist. Kankuro didn't have the durability and speed. Temari would've gotten cooked. The only one who might've stood a chance was Shikamaru with his shadow possession, which Lee would've broken through by opening the first, if not second or third, gate. Gaara was really the only one who stood a decent chance of winning at all.
They really been set lee up for failure from the beginning it was supposed to be hardwork > talent but damn near everyone with talent washed him ie gaara kimimaro
If Naruto survived more than a few minutes with him, Kurama would have absolutely taken advantage of the situation. And Lee would have just opened another gate and clapped him.
If Lee doesn’t whip out the gates off rip I don’t see him beating Neji. Especially considering that in character Neji would want to end the fight as quickly as possible.
@@rearistt5865 The crazy thing is Lee thought that if he had the higher gates he could've broken Kimimaro's bones. Meaning Kishimoto acknowledged that Lee was nerfed in that fight. All that would've been fire if he'd gotten his proper shine in Part 2.

@dusk6159
Shino's bugs need time to work, and largely are effective against opponents who play at range. You know, everyone but Lee. Lee on the otherhand is full aggro, and would likely rush Shino down before the bugs had a chance to tire Lee out.
Well this just proves Lee was the only capable of doing that
@@clayxros576 You know Shino could place bugs in certain spots in the arena or place one on his opponent before his fight even starts, right?
I think it's worth mentioning since no one ever says it. Gaara's at full power, dude was laid back for a week while everyone was in the woods, fighting and surviving. Lee showed up probably half a day to a day before this fight, after getting tinnitus and getting kicked around a bit. Lee really showed everyone up anyways.
Its why Lee's character arc was so well done
To be honest Gaara making it through the forest the way he did was a feat in of itself man broke the record for fastest time finished and you have to remember this was the same exam prodigies Itachi and Minato took and Gaara broke their record without a single bruise on him on top of him finishing a B rank mission with out a scratch that boy was a menace upon his intro

Sure, you could argue his fight against Kimimaro, but let's face it. This was Lee's peak in all of Naruto and afterward. He and everyone else pretty much gets sent to the bench for good.

Why did Kishimoto hype this man up only to continuously hand him the back seat? Bro can’t have anything.
Kishimoto lowkey a clown for that
And then naruto out here saying "hard work beats talent" like he works a third as hard as lee

the show´s message stopped being about hard work the moment they made Naruto the chosen one
The theme was never really hard work more like never giving up. Which Lee still embodies but other characters like Naruto embody it pretty well too, in different ways. Lee def shoulda been one of the most important characters in shippuden. They hoed him.

Lee hit Gaara with an up-tilt into a Down B command grab 😂
That command grab like Gaara looking more dunked than an oreo in glass of milk
Dude was playing frame perfect Smash Bros.
This is the fight where you know you’re team Rock Lee for life
In Temari’s defense, she did block a kick from Lee so it makes sense she would call his kicks weak.
True but the meat riding was getting out of hand im not saying this to be rude but we got it we don’t need 6 explaination of how strong gaara
@@AnimeBoy0811meat rinding was on incest level
@@remington_acr1651 i mean rock lee did have the gates for neji so it’s safe to assume the second he got in the arena he was gon pack neji up
@@rearistt5865 The crazy thing is Lee thought that if he had the higher gates he could've broken Kimimaro's bones. Meaning Kishimoto acknowledged that Lee was nerfed in that fight. All that would've been fire if he'd gotten his proper shine in Part 2.
6:05 "circling him like how Pegasus be in beyblade" had me dying
I can't even remember Lee without getting mad at how the rest of the show undid all his efforts to prove hard work beats everything.
Guy sensei clapped jubidara while whole ninja world was racking Ls . Hard work still triumphed
@@PrinceLobo-es8klnah because they still go out of their way to say "ignore everything you just saw, we still need a main character to win this" 😂
@@PrinceLobo-es8kl Not really Guy would have died if Minato hadn't blocked the trut hseeking orbs.
@@PrinceLobo-es8kl No, Madara healed while laughing. Naruto did more damage, by cutting that same Madara in half...after being HANDED power. This was the same Naruto saying NEVER take shortcuts. Had they just trained all day, they could have swept Madara. No, they kept relying on Tailed Beast - Imagine Guy with Naruto's Chakra or even his simple Jutsu let alone an Eight Gates boosted by Tailed beast powers or Transformations.
@@TheMightyBattleSquidYeah, it's called Naruto, not Might Guy. Anyone with a brain knew Guy wasn't beating 10 tails Madara. 😂
He’s really was NOT taking that screen time for granted. Rock Lee pulled out all the stops for this incase this was his only shot
"You know his mom down in hell right now sweating"
Bruh I'm crying on the floor🤣🤣🤣
8:47 5th gate Lee wouldve definitely killed Neji, he might even hold back a gate or 2. I mean the boy damaged the arena with a single step
Bro ...i wasnt in the mood to laugh at all... Couldnt stop laughin and watched your whole playlist at once..keep the vidz coming youre funny as hell man
9:08 He made gaara hit the Gwen😂😂. That's vile
I really appreciated the subtle ‘thank you’ in the middle, and no reminder to like or subscribe. That shit makes content creators come off thirsty
Naruto made a mental note of temari’s shit talk and held onto it till the ninja war and paid it back to her when she tried to say she was the strongest wind user
Oooooweeee you know I've been waitin for this one! Gaara vs the actual main character himself
Edit: 8:36 "Rock Lee hits him with the jump scare" that shit sent me, bro I'm crying
Why the main character?
@@Its_KayBee because the show pretends to have a message of "hard work pays off" despite the fact that Naruto is basically handed everything. I'm not a Naruto hater or anything, I just think Lee is legitimate underdog and he busted his ass to become a total beast. Dude can't even shoot magic powers like everyone else and he still keeps up.
@@arekusu. I don't think you watched Naruto if you think he was handed anything OR if you think the primary message of the show was "hard work pays off".
And how would that even work with this fight? Rock Lee shredded his body fighting a guy with who's never thrown a punch in his life only for that guy to take NO damage and then take his arm and leg like he committed human transmutation. Was losing his limbs supposed to be his payoff? Or was it when Sasuke jacked his whole flow _for the second time, for his own fight _*_against the same limb snatcher?_* Mans had to sit there and watch that happen, too.
And even when he got un-crippled, _the same guy that took his limbs upstaged him _*_in his own 1v1._* What are we talking about?
The fight that put Lee on the map. And screwed him over big time as skill is not rewarded in Naruto
Until Guy sensei V Madara
I don't like naruto (anymore), but I will always love Rock lee. And this fight is why. You did it justice.
6:15 He tryna be Jiren fr. Bro was acting like he was the main character despite sleeping-- meditating--the entire TOP and having some cliche backstory lmaoo
I will forever preach that Rock Lee should've won against Gaara because if it weren't for the plot, Gaara would've been a memory. And I will die on that hill
Gaara would have killed that boa in any scenario🤝🏾
Lee was moreso saved by plot since if Gaara was really gonna lose, he'd start tapping into the demon powers. And those are killing the shit out of Lee (but the Konoha invasion fails and Gaara probably gets disqualified)
Bs. Gaara wasn’t going for the kill. If he was Lee was done long before 2 minutes.
Gara breathing like someone who is having an asthma attack in the middle of the fight enjoying every minute of it.
"His mom is down in hell sweating right now" is so outta pocket I had to pause the video for 5 mins just to laugh 🤣💀
im so gladsomeonee mentioned that rock lee said that the eight gates technique was what he was saving for neji bro seriously wanted to give negi 5 fold for every he he has ever landed in his life
Can't believe I'm finding ur channel just now. I've literally watched all yo videos and I ain't even watch dragon ball. You're the funniest bro you gotta make more
This character really had me going to the stages of grief with how underutilized he was
The fight vs Gaara inspired me to go to the gym as a kid.
Lee is my hero then and now
Gaara's mother catching strays is fucking hilarious.
Man, the EXCUSES they gave for why Gaara kept surviving! No amount of sand is topping you from getting a concussion, that's too much speed cuh
and even then, Gaara himself says that Lee knocked all the sand off him already so he had nothing left. Then he gets up like "guess I had some left after all, you fell for my bluff... to myself. That no one could hear."
