Sasuke used Orochimaru for 3 years of training then used the same Curse Mark that was supposed to enslave him so his body and power could be stolen, to instead enslave Orochimaru to steal his power. Then formed a team with his subordinates & captives. Orochimaru was forced to rely on an option that may never even be available. That's a fail for Orochimaru.
Deidara's murder attempt was thwarted with Sasuke obtaining the intel he wanted shortly later. DEADara was just one option.
Learning the truth about Itachi led to him knowing who the mastermind was & killing him. Far better than living a lie as Danzo walked free.
& he failed to catch Bee but from the battle he realized his Mangekyo was enough to destroy Konoha. That he didn't need Biju power (chapter 417, pages 5-6).
This fight scene can literally be summed up as Plot being on break for more than 15 minutes before realizing it had a job and coming to help Sasuke at the last minute.
Sasuke own fault dint train his Ms and Obito even offered to give him EMS before he went to go after bee with him saying he knows how to deal with jinchuriki

The irony. Bee's one job is to protect the village. He tried and failed to kill them with attacks he didn't know they would survive (swords, lariat, Bijudama). Then ran away once Sasuke, who was still weakened from Itachi, stopped holding back as much. He left cause he was low on stamina & deemed Sasuke as probably the toughest opponent he ever fought (chapter 415, page 12, c419, p17).
But the vacation headcanon does make a good joke. Shame his actions & words stating he would kill them & go home, ruins it (c412, p16).

Funny enough, that's kinda what happened in a nightmare Goku had in the anime. Trunks went to strike Seventeen with his sword, but Seventeen grabbed both it and Trunks' hand, reverse uno it so the blade was pointed at Trunks, then basically had Trunks stab himself.
