Ride on
Class of 2018 at WVU and have been blasting this since before I went here and I love it. Die hard mountaineer.
I miss the Pat White Era.... that was also my golden years in Good Ol' Morgantown WV
As a current student I will be playing this at every single frat party on campus on repeat and especially at the backyard brawl
@Luke SHIT
I remember singing this on the WVU band bus after we whipped Tennessee in 2018. Nothing beat singing that to the sad TN fans and the looks on their faces were priceless! 😂 Man I miss Morgantown!
Still listening in 2021
I remember downloading this song from Limewire when I was a boy (probably early 2000s).. It's amazing. Needs more recognition in Mo-town
Mountaineer and Habs fan. Best combo ever.
Gosh I miss home you can live our town but it never leaves you. we bleed Blue and Gold
Great song!! Morganhole will always be home. Love it!
I love the song go MOUNTAINEERS!!! kick some ass!!!
oh man this game was amazing!! freezing cold but amazing!!
2021, present and accounted for.
I am so sorry to say... I was asked to leave WVU...because I didn't have enough "quality points" to continue my 2nd year of college.... May I add, that was the first year WVU was voted as being the #1 party school in the nation? I will not say I was a direct influence...but I know I supported the cause.
Great song,i like listening to it over & over
January 6th this week ill be in morgantown :D ill be studying in west virginia university as international student ... cant wait really :D:D:D:D
From what I know, I have 1 of 2 origionals to this song.. It is not the morgantown song.. They are "The Highstreet Hillbillies". My mom sent this to the radio station alot of years ago. So when you hear this song, Thank my Mom. Go Mountaineers!
Hahaha this is fucking awesome!! I love The Vols and the Mountaineers! So this was epic!
I love wv and the song
For the record Playboy retired WVU from being #1 for so many years. They said something to the extent that amateurs couldn't compete with the pros and they took WVU out of the running.
Recorded under the pseudonym band name, "High Street Hillbillies" (actually "Cross Country Band" from Charleston, WV) 10-17-1984.
Musicians:
Ben Brookes Belcher - guitar & vocals
David Sutherland - banjo, mandolin & vocals
Steve Snedegar - steel guitar & vocals
John Holland - drums
Todd Byrne - bass
Thank you! I will update the video with this info!

Have you ever found where to d/l this song? I used to have it on an old computer, but can't remember where I got it and that computer crashed & I lost everything on it.
I'm in 9th Grade in High-school and party with my brother every year

Where can I download this song at?!?
This sounds like Deliverance, didn't they make that movie in Morgantown?
That is hilarious!!
@mantooth3290 wow, that's sad...
my fuck, thanks boys!!!
what year as this made and where is the band now?
At least they still have noel devine....
Jim Butrick?
As a knoxville tennessee native I feel offended.......
Awesome, except for the 2nd verse
Lmao...
I think this tops rocky Top
penn state stands no chance
i've been to PSU parties and i'm going to WVU right now, it's like comparing boys to men. WVU whoops psu's ass.
Mantooth3290 has issues. obviously he was mistreated while he was in morgantown..... and only a semster??? that kinda sad not being able to hang in a place that you dislike..... he kinda sounds like a wimp
nope ur wrong, PENN STATE #1 PARTY SCHOOL
I lived in Morgantown for years, earning both my BA and MA from WVU, and I never heard this the first time, and I am glad. This is terrible to say the least.
That makes you a noodle.
Well, nothing says WV like copying the music for Rocky Top lmao
You realize it’s country roads? Not this
I hope this is satire
because morgantown pa sucks. lol.
u mean PSU is #1 party school, check ur sources
yea partying with iced tea
ok i love this song, but penn state are not queers, i would love to see wvu vs psu in a drinking contest, we all would no who would win
WTF did you do to Rocky Top? SMDH.
Although I agree that Penn State is "a bunch of queers",unless you're in beautiful Knoxville,Tennessee you can NOT use this music unless you admit that WVU only hopes to be as relevant on the national scene as UT is.
Tennessee sucks now LOL this comment hasnt aged well
@@bradenmc25 didn't we beat Tennessee on the national stage a few yrs back? 🤣🤣🤣
@@tmurph247 lmfao yea 💀
Hmmm. Get your own song! Go Vols!
