RIP Waylon, Sheriff Rosco, Uncle Jesse and Boss Hogg
and Flash, Roscoe's dog.
Don't forget Ms. Tilsdale.
Don't forget Coy (or was it Vance?)
@@karlsmith2570 Vance and he was 57 and died of natural causes
@@noelcook2389 okay, I knew about the fact that he'd died of natural causes and that his name was Christopher Mayer, I just remember if he'd played Coy or Vance Duke
At least john Schneider doesnt try to hide from what made him famous
I know Right!
But he is low key about being on Tyler Perrys The Have & Have Nots.
keep it between the ditches yee haa
yes I agree, I like it more when people are proud of the roles they were in.
I think he's even embracing it now that he's been away from it so long. Good for him, and for us!
Such a fun show, from a time when America wasn’t so damned uptight.
One of the best TV series ever!!!!
❤❤❤
All I know is that Waylon would be proud
Couldn't said it better myself

Hello Cathy. How’s your day going?

How can this not put you in a good mood 🙂
I'Am Always In A Good Mood When The Show Was On.
I Have DVDs Of The Dukes Of Hazzard.
Classic Television Better Then Modern Television Shows.
i just had a shite day at work and now im here 4 beers later having a blast. Cheers John!!
My oldest was one of the biggest "Dukes of Hazzard" fan, especially of John Schneider. I took her to see John in concert at the Cincinnati zoo when she was a teenager. She got to go to the museum run by Ben "Cooter" Jones in Virginia but her greatest thrill was seeing John sing again and getting her picture made with him a year or so before she died of kidney cancer last year. I am happy she got to meet one of her teen idols.
I'm soooo sorry you had to go through such pain of the passing of your daughter. Our prayers are with you.
Good riddance
Gay!
I'm so sorry dude that is so sad my heart breaks for you
It seemed to be a wholesome show. I liked it as a kid.
I loved the Easter egg in Smallville, when John Schneider is driving in his truck, and this song is playing on the radio :)
Not only that the blue charger that Tom wolpat's character had that was a friend of his
I loved it when they jumped the car
Oh man, I did not know this...being from Spain, Europe, we miss all these Easter Eggs from the show...thanks!
we're gonna make American great again for Dukes a hazard for good 900,000 likes on TH-camPG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 2023-2024
That is the reason I found this clip. As a kid I loved watching Dukes of Hazard.
Hey I love it John! Thanks for being on the show. 🙏🏻

I love this version. I miss the Duke boys!
Thanks John I am 53 years old living in Canada and I grew up watching the Dukes Of Hazzard. Brings back memories of when times were great and our world felt normal. 👍👍
Same demographic over in Australia. The world made sense back then
I hear ya brother! Seeing the General fly brought back some great memories!
Me too!
Ain't that the damn truth
i used to watch it in the 80s w my stepdad...yeahhh
I like Waylon's recording of the song but this is phenomenal.
Well, Waylon is a professional singer while John was the actor so I would expect a little more from Waylon even though this version is phenomenal
@Andrew-
Waylon is a Legend, however that Duke boy is a damn good singer. He had several big hits in the 80s.
At The Sound of the Tone and Country Girls to name a couple of his songs.

Very interesting, How long have you been his fan ?
No matter a person's feelings, no matter one's political persuasion... Nothing but love and respect for the South. Time we took to spreading love and respect and not hatred and BS!

The good ole boy is from New York!
Yeeeee hawwww!
@@ryans6265 There are good ole boys in California too as hard to believe as that may sound and I happen to know quite a few of them. Nice to know they are EVERYWHERE to include NY. Ride em' cowboys! Patriots rise!
@@mercedesmartinez8352 , yeah California is a Southern state to many. John Schneider is a new Yorker though.
I loved him as Johnathan Kent. He portrayed that father figure role so well. l I bet he took some cues from Uncle Jesse
I've met John Schneider, He actually came to Powderly, Kentucky. ( Which is where James Best lived R.I.P ) Me, My Mom, and My Brother went to see him in concert and we brought the DVD collection of the first season of Smallville for him to sign and John Schneider signed it with both his name and his character's name, Jonathan Kent.
@@bigdoinks196 He seems like a genuine person to me. And in my opinion, Jonathan in the comics seems to be a character looked over and forgotten a lot but I like it when a comic run or tv series keeps him on and allows him to guide Clark. I think John really brought a rough kindness to the character that we never saw before or have since.
and that episode with Tom Wopat. Awesome
Yep. he sure did.
I just commented on how I'd watch a Dukes reboot starting Jenson Ackles and Christian Kane, wouldn't Schneider make a perfect Uncle Jesse?
John was my childhood crush! He really still looks handsome, never lost his good looks and talent!💕
Hello!!! How are you doing today, please

"Good ole boy" is southern racist code for "whites only" and the KKK and if you don't understand that then you really are naive. Google the "Good Ol' Boys Roundup" if you don't believe me.
Only started watching Dukes of Hazzard and I’m not afraid to admit it’s now my favourite show
It’s gonna be a sad day when those three are gone.
The general's charm could never be recreated with the rolling Tupperware they make these days.

You can say that again.
i.e. Toyota Prius... that's a car??
Me (once when only one wheel of my YJ was touching the ground after being air borne): But they did it on Dukes of Hazard.

I don't care how old John Schneider gets, he still looks good

I have to admit that I even got a little bit emotional when he shouted out good ol' boy Waylon. May it be good there in heaven!

I loved this show when I was a kid. Last year I met John Schneider, and he was a total sweetheart. He was so kind to every single person.

That was my Friday nights when I was a kid: Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, Falcon Crest.
Yep ...we couldn't wait till Friday night just so we could watch the Dukes...remember watchn Dallas and Falcon Crest a little
Timothy Schenks yep. I could not wait to see the General Lee.
Mine to makes me cry that there is no reruns on TV
Every Friday night was family night and we would watch Dukes of Hazzard Dallas and Falcon Crest my father would either bring home a frozen pizza or Sonic and we'd all sit around watch those three shows every Friday and I was not allowed to go anywhere on Friday night it was very rare for my dad to let me go anywhere because it was family night. Now on Saturdays I could go anywhere I wanted to go then not on Fridays. I was watching an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard on Saturday night as it's now being shown on Forces TV in the UK. I'm not a nostalgic person normally but hearing Waylon Jennings (The Balladeer's) voice it instantly dawned on me how much of a part of my childhood he was. Amazing how many memories came back after hearing that voice I'd not heard for 40 years. Just incredible to think as well that roughly 40 years ago I used to religiously watch the Dukes of Hazzard.....on a Saturday night. Good old days.
Same here but I was watching from a four-plex in Los Angeles, California. Even in L.A. it was a lot nicer back then. Those were truly good times.
Awesome! And he is proud
The faces in that crowd just gives you goosebumps!! Love it!!
This was one of my favorite shows growing up. It's sad that it's so hard to find good, wholesome entertainment on tv these days. Now, it's all sex, violence, stupidity, and how many times they can drop the F-bomb. Even Daisy in her little outfits was never over-sexualized.
The entertainment industry has alot of power and influence. But so do we, the consumers. We need to encourage more shows like this that promote good, American values.
And I love that the show portrayed Southerners and General Robert E. Lee in a good light.
Exactly.
As a Yankee, I agree!
AHMEN and all this bullshit going on with the flag its like people just stop and see it for the good memories it has YEEEEEHAWWWWW *DIXIE HORN*
Could you imagine living the simple life like this. Country living and just be a good hearted person. Don’t judge people don’t be mean to each other just surviving and having fun.
I would like to, count me in.
Me too!
Me 3
Just one problem... that requires thick skin because at some point, someone is going to say something another person doesn't like. That's when we sit down with a bottle of suds, talk, and have dinner. That would put us back where we need to be... that and venison... can't be angry with venison, lol.
I'm a lifelong city dweller and you have no idea how much I long for this
Lightning in a bottle. Thats what The Dukes of Hazzard was. A once in a lifetime opportunity to match incredible seasoned veteran actors With fresh faces to produce something very special. The good guys always won, the bad guys always lost and no one ever really got hurt. It was TRULY a fun show. Something to tune in to each week and just let your troubles go while watching The Dukes outwit Roscoe and Boss. It created an incredible lasting legacy for The Dodge Charger, provided us with great memories that have traveled the back the roads of time alongside us all and reminded us not to take this world or ourselves too seriously. It showed the value of family and friendship and that sometimes. Just sometimes you CAN fight City Hall and win. It doesn't have to be Shakespeare to be something incredible. Lastly, watching the show clips mixed in with the behind the scenes stuff and seeing this song and this show STILL bringing people together after all these decades just proves my point. Hard to believe we were ever that young once.
Respect from Italy lot of old guys got their own charger after watch the show on tv❤❤
I wish there was one more movie or episode with the real cast
Kind of hard to do when there are so many that have passed on, (Sorrell Booke, Denver Pyle, Waylon Jennings, Don Pedro Colley) that's just the cast members.
that and liberals would never let it be brought back

Just two good ole boys,
Never meaning no harm.
Beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law
Since the day they were born.
Straightenin' the curves,
Flattenin' the hills.
Someday, the mountain might get 'em but the law never will.
Makin' their wayyyyyy, the only way they know how.
Well, that's just a ittle bit more than the law will allow.
Just two good ole boys,
Wouldn't change if they could,
Fightin' the system like two modern day Robin Hoods.[YEE-HAW
(Seldom heard verse):
I'm a good ole boy,
You know my mama loves me.
But she don't understand, they keep a-showin' my hands
And not my face on T.V.

it's not
Just two good ole boys
it's
Just a good ole boy
Not sure I understand the verse at the end🤷. Something to do with Schneider getting crap for defending the general?
It beats all you never saw but ok

@@austrexican1152 It's an in-joke referring to the fact that in the opening titles you see the guitarist (Waylon Jennings)'s hands but not his face. (Although he did appear in person in one episode).

Superb clip!! These are the sounds of my childhood. I am from 1983, and at the end of the 90s "The Dukes" was broadcasted on commercial television in the Netherlands. Watching every Monday and Wednesday evening with my dad. I grew up in the countryside and still live there. Everyone here knows The Dukes. True legends.
This reminds of my father! We use to watch this back in 1984.. I would get all pumped up, jump up on the back of the couch yelling > Go Faster 😂

Oh how I wish we could go back to the good ole boys days!! This was one of the best shows a boy could have had back in the day. It taught us to be for the underdog, taught us crime never pays, even if your the law, gave us strong family values and love for southern women!

40 years ago I was a kid watching The Dukes of Hazzard on TV and I never missed it on CBS- I watched it every Friday night- I would watch the reruns of the show and I now own the DVDs- well most of them- one was lost- and the other I never could find- sadly- but I also have the General Lee sitting near my TV next to my USS Voyager from Star Trek- I also was gifted years ago your autograph because I was unable to go to the signing due to events beyond my control but you are a favorite of mine- hearing your version with Tom made me smile- If you ever do a reboot series- this should be the intro for the pilot movie- as it is a great nod to the great Waylon Jennings. Long live The Dukes of Hazzard!
